Agreed it was a good post but I think he's referring to the future when Tai becomes Britain's greatest ever, given his previous successes and time on his side he probably will achieve the status, here's hoping because it will only benefit British speedway. Meanwhile I think Peter Collins stands out as the greatest British rider.

I think you're misreading the mood here, virtually every poster has said how fantastic he has been all week, and he has, he's gone up a few notches in my estimation for his selfless riding all week. He's been an absolute pleasure to watch, always looking for Lambert and only leaving him when at risk of losing the win, Rob Lambert must have learned so much from him this week, amazing throttle control. That said, there are plenty of us who, having watched him shepherd Lambert all week, are left wondering why he opted to go after Laguta in the final when the only real chance of taking the title was to get Lambert ahead of Emil, after all he'd been doing that all week where possible. One or 2 have called him selfish but the vast majority have had nothing but praise for him, it's only natural to wonder why he didn't consider mixing it with Emil. Of course it's easy for us armchair experts to say he should have done it, doesn't mean we aren't proud of his efforts.

I suppose so but that means I've got to stay up late waiting for it to happen, just thought I'd help things along. Then again I can watch it on catch up tomorrow.

So within just a couple of minutes we've got people being naive, people who are blinded by great racing and people who can't see further than the end of their nose. And you wonder why you get so much stick off others, you're certainly adept at giving it out on a regular basis. Take a chill pill or you'll end up flouncing off again.

Gate 1 has been kind to Robert throughout, if he can be in amongst it at the first bend it's going to be a hectic 4 laps, either way well done Great Britain, brilliant performance.

HE'S OUT, HE'S OUT, HE'S OUT!!!! Quality tv.
-
Take a bow Rob Lambert, absolutely brilliant run to the line, well done lad..
-
Am wishing we had got the race against the Russians out of the way while Emil was struggling, he was flying there.
-
Dirty move Lindgren, no excuse for that.
-
They have so many open meetings in Poland we can only assume they see this another one, rather than a prestigious Championship, shame really as the racing has been great.
-
No internet.
-
Yes we do, we just forgot what it feels like.
-
Just watched heat 15 from last night again, Doyle & Fricke were left for dead, really good to see, we face them first tonight, hope we do it again.
-
There doesn't seem to be many positive vibes going on here, seems plenty are looking for reasons why we will lose out to the devious Poles. Time for some Tub-thumping I think, we're in a fantastic position and are well capable of consolidating it from the off tonight, , Come on lads, bring it home..

Great meeting, thoroughly enjoyed the racing from all teams but so chuffed to see us at the top, here's hoping it's as good and we claim the prize. Shout out to Phil Morris too, really smoothly run meeting on a decent track.
-
Agreed but based on tonight when we've beaten everyone except the Germans, yet, I wouldn't have any fears for us in a final run off. Then again tomorrow is another day...
-
This is just fantastic, happiness is a 5-1 over the Aussies, have that you bloaters.
-
Smolinski going well considering the battering he took in that fall, thought he may have crossed the line first bend last lap but obviously not. Really enjoying this, tomorrow already has plenty to live up to and who knows what else can happen tonight.
-
Well done boys, keep it going, fantastic team riding.
-
Hts 10 & 11 were fantastic races, in fact it's a really good meeting all round, scores are close enough although a very long way to go. Here's hoping we can keep in the mix well into tomorrow evening.

Other than that you're doing fine Nick. -
Of course it is but it's the way he's made, not everyone is brimming with self confidence, doesn't mean they can't succeed, unfortunately he's chosen a career that, once you reach the top end, it does require a whole new approach, hopefully he's able to make the leap. I can't fault Rossiter for putting Lambert in and leaving him in last night, Cookie just has to knuckle down and do his best if required at the weekend.
-
Well said that lady, it's all about doing the best for the team. Apparently Cook himself said to Rossiter that he should put Lambert out when he was considering options later in the meeting, Craig's not daft, as gutted as he must have been he still knew what was the right move.
-
Someone else who was there said they hadn't realised Cookie was on a warning, in which case it would have seemed harsh leaving him out of the rest of the meeting, once up to scratch they agreed it was the best decision for the team. I really wish Craig Cook could overcome his problems and start to enjoy a good run of success, it would do wonders for his confidence and GB would benefit too, that said I would push all the way for Lambert to be given opportunity on Friday, he showed more than enough last night to justify him getting rides. For once Rossiter did exactly the right thing last night, if indeed it was his decision to make, from what he said he's a virtual passenger on the managerial side of things now.
