  1. Hts 10 & 11 were fantastic races, in fact it's a really good meeting all round, scores are close enough although a very long way to go. Here's hoping we can keep in the mix well into tomorrow evening.
  2. Of course it is but it's the way he's made, not everyone is brimming with self confidence, doesn't mean they can't succeed, unfortunately he's chosen a career that, once you reach the top end, it does require a whole new approach, hopefully he's able to make the leap. I can't fault Rossiter for putting Lambert in and leaving him in last night, Cookie just has to knuckle down and do his best if required at the weekend.
  3. Well said that lady, it's all about doing the best for the team. Apparently Cook himself said to Rossiter that he should put Lambert out when he was considering options later in the meeting, Craig's not daft, as gutted as he must have been he still knew what was the right move.
  4. Someone else who was there said they hadn't realised Cookie was on a warning, in which case it would have seemed harsh leaving him out of the rest of the meeting, once up to scratch they agreed it was the best decision for the team. I really wish Craig Cook could overcome his problems and start to enjoy a good run of success, it would do wonders for his confidence and GB would benefit too, that said I would push all the way for Lambert to be given opportunity on Friday, he showed more than enough last night to justify him getting rides. For once Rossiter did exactly the right thing last night, if indeed it was his decision to make, from what he said he's a virtual passenger on the managerial side of things now.
  5. Can't argue with that, don't think he once even took a glance over his shoulder, probably wouldn't have been able to do much anyway but dropping it over Fricke (I think) as he passed him entering turn 3 might have helped keep things tighter, instead he just kept out wide and disappeared.
  6. Here's hoping Milik & Franc can do the Aussies, would be a perfect end to the meeting if they could.
  7. He's chasing points, no other decision would do, fair play to Lambert.
  8. Good to see Fricke up and clearing the track, just a shame it was at the expense of seeing decent action from Doyle & Lindgren.
  9. Yes but it was David Watt. Now that Loram race was brilliant Krompa, sublime passing as you say.
  10. Me too, it's speedway on a brilliant track, the National team are competing, the weather poses no threat, what's not to like? Sod the format & scoring mechanism, if enough riders are in the right frame of mind and fancy a burn up we are in for a treat, bring it on.
  11. Can't stop laughing at that little squeal from Kelvin, quality moment, in an otherwise poor meeting.
  12. I think I may take advantage of the next commercial break and slip on my lederhosen, great atmosphere.
  13. I quite like the look of it, big new stadia are fine but there is a place for these traditional tracks, nobody complains about Vojens these days but that's another with similar features.
  14. If there's a trophy on offer I think we may win it.
  15. Rossiter being hung out to dry there by Scott Nicholls, rightly so if the reports of how events panned out are correct, embarrassing example of British Speedway again, hopefully they will get rid at the earliest opportunity.
  16. For anyone interested Radio Norfolk have added a couple of speedway shows, they are 30 minute offerings, worth a listen if you're at a loose end. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p051d52h/episodes/player I don't know of any other Radio stations that do this kind of stuff, so will be dropping Radio Norfolk a line to thank them for supporting the sport and for giving us Alan Partridge.
  17. Which implied that you thought he lacks courage, even though that's not what you meant.
  18. Woffinden different class with that pass on Pawlcki, quality last bend bravery.
  19. I backed Milik e/w @ 33/1, wasn't to happy after ht 1 but he's back in the game now.
