Not looking for an argument but do you know all the names on this list, I don't but I assumed it would contain mainly ex riders, most of whom will be his mates as well as ex colleagues, maybe not.

As I posted earlier, who knows what the aftereffects of his 2010 trauma have been. If someone breaks a leg then once it's mended they may walk with impairment for the rest of their lives but they'll still get around. Brain injury can be similar, I now 'think with a limp' but nobody other than those closest would have any idea, there's nothing to see. I know I've changed in the way I deal with certain situations, don't want to go into specifics but I can certainly relate to the way PC has dug his heels in, thus leaving a virtually non negotiable position. I hope for everyone's sake that things can be settled to the point where Peter feels comfortable enough to be back in the camp where he belongs.

There's a fair bit of vitriol towards PC in this thread, I can't argue with any of the stuff re his 100club etc but one point possibly being overlooked is that, like me, Peter suffered a brain haemorrhage back in 2010, it was actually the same week as I had mine. I was lucky, following 7hrs surgery I made what's considered to be a full recovery, back at work in 2 months. However, if you were to ask my wife if I'm the same person I can guarantee she would say no, anyone who suffers a brain injury is very fortunate just survive the trauma, never mind return to their former selves. I have no idea whether or not Peter is a changed man since 2010, I've met with him once since then at a grasstrack meeting, he seemed fine but who knows. Maybe some of those posting should have a think before calling him names, he certainly deserves better than that whatever he has or hasn't done in recent times.

Thanks for that r&r, there was a time when we were lucky enough to have scorecards for these meetings, alas they don't appear any more. I'd even settle for a truly innovative one at this moment.

Well since we're in fantasy land I wonder what are the chances of bringing Vaclav Milic to the NSS? I really like watching him ride and can imagine he would be something special once he had the track sussed.

I followed the meeting on the wireless and the commentator did question whether he crossed the white line in 15, so maybe he did but there's no way the majority of Wolves fans could have seen that from the main stand. The reception he got after winning ht13 was clearly audible, loud boos and shouts of derision as he came round on the warm down. I don't suppose it's a bad thing, as others have said the sport is short of 'villains' anyway. I can't agree with the comments that he thinks he's better than he is, if anything he's the opposite, self confidence doesn't come naturally to Craig, any decent judge of a character can see that every time he's interviewed, but we all know that speedway is all about confidence, so he tries to give that impression. Either way he's earned his place in the GP series and we know for a fact he will represent GB with pride, here's hoping he has a successful maiden season and can cement himself into the series, tall order indeed but he's still improving.

Couldn't agree more, these days I struggle to recall specific races, even meetings as it happens, but I'll never forget that one, a Wednesday evening iirc, Michanek on Bernie Leigh's machinery (white rear mudguard?). By a long way that race is the best I have ever seen, it's well documented that they passed and re-passed on every turn and it could have gone either way right to the flag. As for the thread subject, Soren Sjosten was my first hero when I was around 7 or 8 years old, I thought that because he was so small in stature that he was only a bit older than me and I could soon be a rider myself. That notion was shattered once I'd been in the pits for autographs and realised he was actually a bloke, great rider was Soren and his demise was a sad one.

I've been to speedway many times but I've never attended a speedway match, always been a meeting.

Whatever happens in ht15 it's been a great finish for BTsport to cap their first season in the sport, hopefully encourage them to come back next year.

No doubting he went early but I thought the tapes looked slack in the previous heat, could affect riders off 2 & 3 if they are. This could be a real nailbiter to the finish.
