  1. Ht6, win for NKI but again he had to battle for it, Mikel B Jensen 2nd. Sorry for incomplete results but they don't have in race graphics and they seem to put the result up while I'm typing. Ht7 FTG win for MJJ, Kildemand 2nd but didn't really threaten for the lead. Matters not helped by the fact that half the field have almost the same name... Ht8 Ftg for Bjerre, followed in by Bjarne. Will try and get more scores now. Mads & NKI on 6 Bjerre & Mickel B Jensen on 5 apiece That's after 2 rides each btw. Hans, MJJ & PK all on 4 apiece after 2 rides. Ht9 Hans passed Bjarne early on that was all she wrote. Doubt we'll be seeing a GP at this track anyway, back straight looks very tight. Ht10 Bjerre from MJJ with Mads a disappointing last. Ht11 Won by NKI, almost a quarter of a lap in front of 2nd placed . Looked like the fastest time of the night to me, first time someone has just stuck their back wheel in the dirt and wound it on, takes a rider of his quality to do that I suppose. Ht12 won by Kildemand, decent race for a couple of laps with one of the lesser lights whose name escapes me but PK just did what NKI did in previous race and romped home. So after 12hts NKI -9 PK & Hans on 7 Bjarne 6 Not sure about the others. Apologies to those following my updates but I'm knackered and need to get a kip, got work later. Sorry again. PS, unsure of the format but either way I'd be backing NKI all the way based on what I've seen so far, PK has found some speed but I can't see him beating Niels. PPS, Bjerre is on 8 after 3 rides, missed that.... tired....
  2. Track looks poor, must have had plenty of rain earlier, riders seemed reluctant to start. There's no way I'm going to see this one through, only had 4 heats so far, even the start marshall got interviewed about his faulty mechanism. It's a bit like watching a meeting at Kings Lynn, lots of tractor work and plenty of glum faces. Ht5, very determined ride from Mads K, he forced his way inside Bach on the 4th turn, looks very keen tonight, on 6points after 2.
  3. Unsure who won the rerun of ht1 but Ulrich was excluded. Ht2 won by Mads K Ht3 Hans Andersen Ht4 NKI.
  4. If I stick it to the end then no problem, am working @ midnight and could do with a kip, will see how we go. Nasty looking crash in heat 1, Mickel B Andersen (I think) ended up in the back straight fence, went over the handlebars and was down for a while, up now though.
  5. Got a decent picture, weather looks fine and a half decent crowd in. Don't think I've seen this track before, here's hoping for some decent racing. edit, looks a bit ominous, riders look as though they don't fancy it, maybe I'm misinterpreting the expressions.
  6. Seems weird watching Bjarne Pedersen actually getting stuck in and fighting for wins, like a different rider to the one I've become accustomed to for Poole, Eastbourne etc. As for the daft club nicknames Dave, ridiculous aren't they. Why can't the choose proper names like, Aces, Panthers, Rockets or Comets. Great win for Bjerre over Buck, there's another one who's rejuvenated.
  7. Well she pops up often enough when he's in a televised meeting, in the pits, in his pit bay. Nothing wrong with having his dad as mechanic, in fact it's fantastic, different altogether than having your mum clucking around, maybe you don't recognise that but that's because you've never been a lad.
  8. There's an aerial shot in this report for anyone interested, I always like aerial pics as the give great perspective of tracks http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-40755704
  9. Maybe it's just too flat, seems no banking whatsoever. I could be wrong but I'm sure I remember Gollob making big v shaped corners there in GPs, he had the straight line speed to make it work, it did make for exciting racing but mainly due to his audacious moves.
  10. Well done Poland, what a brilliant reaction from their crowd, you cannot fault their enthusiasm.
  11. Great experience for Worrall and Lambert, the climb has to start somewhere.
  12. I think so, 2nd and 3rd beats 1st and last doesn't it? Or maybe not.. Either way the crowd seemed happy with the result.
  13. Can't help it can you.. He missed Belle Vue's on Monday, do you really think he would stiff the club he loves riding for just so he could swerve a trip to Poland? Why can't he just be genuinely injured, it's speedway, it's dangerous.
  14. I know mate and it's a fair question. It's the smartarse reply you got that prompted my post. As for Cookie, all I've heard is that it's a back injury.
  15. So he's not injured, is that what you're claiming? Since when did a rider have to provide his sicknote to the BSF in order to prove he's unfit? And I suppose he's gone on record as saying he doesn't give a toss about the World Cup, perhaps you could point me to it.
  16. Honestly mate, if you can manage to ignore it altogether the thread will flow more fluidly, it's the worst kind of nuisance as it thinks it's funny.
  17. Doesn't he wear the inflatable vest like Harris? Bomber always appears well built but he isn't really.
  18. Huckenbeck is a decent rider, I like watching him whenever he's in the Euros/pairs, always has plenty of speed and is gutsy too. As a nation of course we should beat Germany at speedway but they will always give us a go in something like pairs. Well there you go, he panned the Swedes there too.
  19. 2 well established German riders though, no shame in that. Keep the faith.
  20. Much more economical rider though eh, Zmarzlik travels an extra quarter of a lap in most of his races, brilliant rider though.
  21. Nice one, I did have it on but there was no speedway on it, there is now and, as you say, cracking picture.
  22. Indeed, very healthy looking numbers. Thanks for the links, I'm watching on the wizja one and it seems fine. Ah they didn't update the names, Cookie still in there according to graphics.
  23. Thanks, looks a great line up, wonder if anyone will be doing a racecard:) The last time I watched a World Games speedway meeting was this cracker https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIGbKOl_08g Cowboy Cook was the star of the show in his grey overalls. I was sure it was on a weekday afternoon as not many will have got to see it, naturally I thought of Thursday as it was held at Wimbledon, anyway whilst checking that out I came across this little gem, https://app.box.com/s/5s7ggxs7156pfo0ww77n/1/536055648/5165045752/1 Been posted here before but worth a repeat for those who haven't had a look. I spent a minute or 2 looking at the action photo in that link, couldn't decide who it was, my guess is Michanek & PC, maybe the Wembley run-off, just guessing though. Anyway, it was a Tuesday.
