Stadiums are all well and good but we all know it's more important to get the track the right size, shape etc. I'm sure all involved @ Swindon will do their level best to create a good racing circuit, if needs be and the club are successful the stadium can be improved as they go, good luck to them..

Someone was doing it in the GP's not too long ago, couple of years probably, could've been Bjerre, unsure but definitely remember it being picked up in commentary. Perhaps it happens late on in the meetings when there's a fair old channel worn into the surface from earlier rides, this would drop the chassis of the bike closer to the ground.

I think sometimes, possibly like the Newman 'pass', it's down to the angle they are seeing it from that gives the impression something exciting is happening. At whichever track they are at it seems to be the exit of bend 2 on to the back straight and the entry into the 3rd bend which throw up the most shouting episodes, I must admit to being caught out myself on plenty of occasions. On Saturday in Teterow they were perched above the startline and it was a pleasure to hear them drowned out by the bikes at the start of each lap, the whole meeting was much easier on the ear due to their location. Maybe the sound engineers turned them down because the sound of the bikes was interfering with their microphones, it was definitely better than other meetings imo. I'm also stumped in terms of suggesting any potential replacements, at least Pearson does involve himself with the sport and Tatum does have the knowledge to impart when required. They are much too Smashy & Nicey for me but I can't see them being shifted, Darren Fletcher has been suggested before but he's probably too big time for dirt racing now.

I agree but replays showed Zmarzlick left room when he could have closed the gap and Harris only appeared to brush him. Harris seemed to have the speed to have bided his time, which is heartening because Zmarzlick is usually very quick. Not the best racing as yet but close enough to keep me occupied. Doyle interviewed really well there, got his head screwed on and knows what it's about after last season. Also nice from Bomber, such a shame he never managed more in the series, one of the true racers who do it for the love of the sport. Would love him to have a decent round before he bows out.

I'm here also, thanks for making the thread R&R, cracking speedway so far. Was thinking maybe it wasn't a squad involving Hans Nielsen when I saw NP riding but have now seen Hans in the pits, so it looks like whatever rift was created by the WC selection has been healed, NP on fire in that last race.

I thought she seemed a bit affected, certainly not a natural performer. Sounds similar to Cher but would slot in well on the Catherine Tate show. Was it Fat Bottomed Girls that Queen did @ Plough Lane?
