Josh Bailey and to be fair Danny Phillips unless he is classed as having ridden a season for Scunthorpe. RTD does have some experience but guesting not declared although that was questionable. I suppose it depends on what you are classing as experienced. All the best with your project and hopefully more will follow. It's to be hoped that PL take the bull by the horns to as I think that is where the problem has lay in the past PL or scrap heap and it is notoriously difficult to get a PL spot without the pressures put on reserves by mediocre foreign 2nd strings but the tide is changing.

I had a laff !!!!!!!
-
Why?. Is it strip curling on there?
-
Wouldn't have helped Matin Knuckey or Darren Mallett
-
But confused? Have Lakeside and Poole joined the NL?
-
I suppose the only thing is if everyone did that then there would be the need for 54 3.00 riders. Are there that many waiting in the wings? because if there are then yes the points limit should be dropped.
-
Unattached riders could be signed with in the first few weeks if there are injuries (touch wood) etc. So unless the trophy is run before any League meetings that may not work either. It's a difficult one. Hopefully people will see it for what it is and want to see the standard of racing rather than the set up. A lot of Lions fans already travel to NL tracks to watch so hopefully it will take off and to be fair a trophy is a little more meaningful challenge matches, I suppose. If Lions fans want to see NL at Leicester they will turn up if they don't they wont and the promotion will get their answer.

And then ........he woke up :-)
-
I do see your points but then by the same token other teams will be working on bigger points limits, as their averages increase as well. Wouldn't it be better to see how it plays out?
-
I've said it before and i'll say it again....It's up to the other riders to step it up. After all they are looking to progress and.......they will need 'paying'
-
All the best to team Mountain. Sorry to bring the MDL up and yes I do. i Just wanted to make the point of needing someone to emulate and look up to.
-
That is because he doesn't have any kind of current record etc. and a very valuable inclusion he is to !!!

Rose is a relative newcomer. Even the development guru (joke!) RG reckons it takes 2 seasons for a rider to develop. 1st season NL 2nd NL/PL . Josh Bailey could be 'the find' of the season and they already have Alec Wright knocking at the door you can't have a whole team of rookies because they have no one to learn from. That is the sadness of the MDL anyone with any experience isn't allowed to ride in it so again no one to learn from. Mallet has shed loads to offer as does Campos and Cockle particularly about the different tracks etc and Rose will be learning from Bjerre NKI and hopefully passing that in to

But.....it should work both ways. It's not a 1 way street

I thought the start-line girls did take the sport seriously but they appear to be on the BSF so that's my theory blown out of the water.

When it comes to a member of our great Parliament doing anything. There is always a 'fee'
-
The BSPA probably can't afford the 'fees'

Len Silver's press release said it all. "We thought it was a rubber stamp exercise" applying for a legal document such as a visa should never be taken for granted.
-
It was just that some were saying they wouldn't go because of the strung out races so just an idea to put the reserves up against themselves and the 2nd strings and Heatleaders race each other as EL but thanks PP & TR for your thoughts on the subject.
-
If people are worried about competitiveness of the racing why not follow the same line as the EL is this season and follow their race format whichever that maybe but rather than keep 6&7 at reserve all season who ever rides at reserve follows that format. It could encourage a few more risks with newbies :-)

Welcome to the world of the Speedway closed season
-
That should cheer Waco up. That could be at least another 5 pages of discussion :-)

Good point if you want competitive amateur racing you have to go to Scunny. I don't know of any other track who puts on Amateur meetings in the winter, Newport used to put on a winter series. So invariably riders will come through Scunny.
