  1. speedway is doomed in UK under present format, think we should go down Danish / Swedish route , fixed night and race at home every fortnight, then perhaps more families would be able to attend. You could have a set night for EL and separate night each for PL and NL , that should prevent guests (except for injuries)and each team would be able to track their full 1-7, without losing them to double up / down
  2. Of course there will be dust on a hot afternoon, after all we can't all ride on a cool evening, we have to take what we have. I am sure if Edinburgh rode on a hot afternoon at Armadale, even with Doc doing the track , then they would have the dreaded dust..
  3. We so nearly got a draw, but not disheartened, the team tried their best and Rusty was fantastic, thought we might have got hammered again but we put up a great fight...The juggernaut Monarchs ride on... I do think we would have won if we had our full team though
  4. Why ? Are they both crap gaters ? and do they ride the same line ?
  5. Well done Mark Lemon, glad he was in the points, didn't want him dropped at Glasgow
  6. Well said Paulco, if only it could be like that every week Just seen that Redcar have signed Mark Lemon, glad he has got fixed up
  7. great meeting, Devils had an inspirational guest in Max Fricke, doubt very much if Jensen would have scored that much, but overall they deserved a point, man of the match for the Tigers was Kasper Lykke, what a racer he is , never gives up and looked really fast, only thing is , he is such a bad gater he has 15 metres to catch up in every race.. If he could gate he would be scoring double figures every week
  8. well that was a much improved performance from the Tiggers.. When Anders was withdrawn , I feared the worst but the 5 boys stepped up to the mark. Kevin is such an enigma, very poor one day and a delight to watch the next, was good to see him race with some aggression. Rusty and Theo also had a sterling meeting, Rusty doing well to lay down his bike so quick to avoid the stricken Hawkins. Not sure I like the Theo / Anders combination , they seem to race each other, did the same last week ! Kasper rode his socks off and deserved his points, scoring in every race Aaron Fox did well for us , he can gate , but can't quite defend his lead yet, but I am sure he will come back in a fortnight to haunt us ! For the Witches Worrall was excellent but he didn't have much back up. Adam Ellis showed some promise early on , and I thought he might have had 7 rides but for his unfortunate get off. Risager got better later on, but I was disappointed with Tungate as he usually goes well around Ashfield. Track held up well , shame about the dust but can't be helped on such a warm day, especially when our riders didn't want it watered at all... all in all a good day after last night's frustrations.. same again next week boys
  9. This will be a tough meeting... Which Kevin will turn up ? hopefully last week's Kevin and not last night's Kevin , same for Rusty, Will Christian be riding? Can Fox score points for us or is it only when against us? so many variables, so many inconsistencies, guess I will just have to turn up and hope for the best, wish we had Dimitri
  10. It was so frustrating watching updates tonight .. We need a true no. 1
  11. Dont like to moan about riders but enough is enough ... A no 1 who scores 2 points is not good enough, we should have got at least a point , our heat leaders were missing !!
  12. funny post, hopefully we can put up a better fight this time and Kasper will remember how to ride rye
  13. Edinburgh going to win at Sheffield , can't see the other Tigers taking it
  14. Was impressed with Tom Perry today at Glasgow, never been here before and scored 5 points with a win in heat 2 ,and on the pace in the rest of his rides, will do okay in Premier League
  15. We love watching Anders too , he has no fear and loves doing outside swoops. Shame you didn't get to see Dimitri as he is even more exciting to watch, we tend to watch Dimitri through our fingers, can be a bit wild though. Anders and Dimitri have been our 2 bright lights so far in a dismal season
  16. We have been pretty poor so far this season , so meeting could go either way, at least you dont have to meet the Monarchs 4 times in the league this season
  17. Don't know what either team is tonight, meaningless match but with all our rain offs, will be good to see some racing and get some track time for our boys
