I thought that Sean would have replaced James in heat 13 with JJ or Harley, but James came out on Joey Ringwood's bike for that one , still finished last but was a bit more on the pace. Well done to scorpions for putting on a show. Thought Joe Jacobs was unlucky to be excluded for moving at the start, he was not the only one moving ! Great meeting for Henning , swapping to no. 2 seemed to have helped . Can't wait for the Tigs to click all at once, oh and James Wright did well too and super Joe Screen, gaining legend status around Ashfield

Glasgow V Newcastle Pl Sunday 5th May 2013
Weeyin replied to dantodan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Brilliant meeting Thought we were going to lose at one point but fair play to the lads they pulled it off...Got to thank Newcastle for giving it a go, they must be disappointed to only get 1 point.. Glasgow:- Joe Screen...what can you say, he is masterful when on song!!, perhaps in hindsight should have went by James G in heat 13 instead of trying to protect him, but did the business in heat 15 to secure the win. Joey Ringwood... great win in heat 6, getting there though , has had some really tough rides so far this season. James Wright... did much better this week, surprised he didnt get the pick for heat 15 Henning Bager... missing his celebrations , looking very slow so far this season James Grieves...although he got the points, was lacking speed/power..expensive ef in heat 15 Harley Horwood... can be very fast if he hits the front , then looks like a novice when at the back, more to come from Harley, needs a confidence boost Joe Jacobs... brilliant riding from young Joe , coming on leaps and bounds, going to be a star around Ashfield not afraid to mix it !! Newcastle:- Stuart Robson... Brilliant racing , a joy to watch Christian Henry... consistent , more aggressive than he was when riding for Glasgow, Ludvig Lindgren... disappointed in his performance , thought he would have done better Ritchie Worrall... has come on leaps and bounds, has recovered well from his injury last year ( in my fantasy league team) Lewis Kerr... didnt know much about him but also looks a star in the making Steve Worrall...struggled a bit. great meeting !!!, hope we put on a show tomorrow at Newcastle but I fear a tonking at brough, you live in hope though -
Redcar deserved a point today , we got a bit of luck when Wilko had an ef... Screeny was superb, Joey nearly had an awesome pass , he is going to be exciting to watch. Harley was fast from the gate ... More of that please, young JJ did really well to hold off Micky Dyer... Exciting times at Ashfield this season:)

Love it Paulco..... Joey Ringwood loyal, haven,t seen him race yet and am a member already -
Well here's. hoping our new Aussies will do the business
-
Edinburgh have indeed signed the young Max Fricke ...makes them very strong in my opinion . We ( Glasgow ) on the other hand will probably end up in our usual position of second bottom but we live in hope nonetheless !
-
Well disappointed , was hoping Glasgow would sign him ... Reckon the monarchs must be front runners for the league now ((
-
Edinburgh have just signed Max Fricke ... Makes them very strong ... Major disappointed that Glasgow didn't sign him
-
If lemo is glasgow bound .. I am sure he would do a good job , as long as we have some youngsters in the team too
-
Gutted would have loved Sam at Glasgow, he always did well for us as a guest !!
-
I see Claes Nedermatk has been left out at Newcastle ... What is his average ? Could we fit him in?
-
Wouldn't mind Barrett in the tigers team .. Seemed to like the Ashfield circuit
-
Best riders seen this season : Ritchie Worrall, Adam Roynon, Craig Cook, Jason Doyle.. Commendations for Rohan Tungate , Joe Haines and Mason Campton ..
-
Hope Liam does really well...deserves a chance at competitive racing , seen him at the Ashfield junior meeting last year ( atrocious conditions due to weather) he never gave up and finished 3rd overall ....I think he is a good young british prospect and will do well given the chance ....Good luck Liam

not good news for the lions....they need some stability...It is great having them back ...but for how long ? Seems to be a lot of " personality clashes " behind the scenes right from the very beginning !! It would be a great shame if this was the start of a downward spiral...Jason Attwood appeared to be doing a great job !!
-
Somerset, Workington and Ipswich looking good for top 3 in no particular order, Berwick and Newport not far behind.....depending on who replaces Kozza at Berwick....I will reserve judgement on my team at the moment, they could be challenging for a play off place ( hopefully) or they could flop but I reckon Glasgow should at least make mid table...Ipswich have the strongest reserves IMO.....looking forward to a great season.....not long now folks
-
Saw Tungate at Glasgow and was very impressed !!
-
Jade Mudgeway and Robert Ksiezak are the final 2 for Glasgow...on official website
-
Strong looking team.....especially with Cameron and Rohan at Reserve....!!!
-
It wasn't just Nick who won the league for us...yes he had a few brilliant meetings at reserve...but Theo and Raj also had some brilliant meetings at reserve....where we did have an advantage was that if one rider had a bad day the rest of the team did the business...every one of the team had off days including Joe and James....Think it will be much more difficult next season ....If you can have Cameron and Rohan at reserve for most of the season you should do well ..

I think the Poles have to race on an ACU licence for the premier League...not on a Polish licence
