Yeah a big risk against a powerful heat leader trio plus Newman. Now Nielsen is hurt tonight so another battered and bruised to take an R/R ride. That’s if Stefan is ok of course.
The issue with R/R is it only needs someone to crash and withdraw and you’re in a mess. Even if someone is having a poor meeting, like Garrity did, against stronger opposition you can’t expect the other main 4 riders to score as strongly week in week out.
Best wishes to Mitchell on recovering from those horrific injuries and this incident highlights how integral the paramedics and crew are at tracks that so often go under the radar.
Verge started at number 2. It’s not made much of a difference tbh. Yeah Tedham & Portwood will certainly face easier reserves.
As to this meeting, I can see another Mildenhall win.
I’m not going to claim that there’s a ‘big pool of riders’ but Halsey & Dan Greenwood are 2 that want team places but can’t get one. Knight is another that hasn’t ruled out racing completely.
Definitely looks an exciting meeting and a good weather forecast currently. I can’t decide if Jorgensen is a good choice of guest, as he’s clearly a popular choice and goes well at the EWR but can he outscore Howarth & Bjerre and nearly match Worrall?!
I've changed the updates site now. That makes a bit more sense, but I would've still given Edwards heat 11 seeing as he's shown up much better than Brooks so far an that was only one race.
