So Tom Perry signed a contract but got let down as his average didn’t fit! His average is lower than Bacon & Davey and Hume signed months ago, so was the original plan to have them as a top 4?? Top heavy alright! All I can think is they thought the average limit would go up at the AGM, but if Birmingham changed their mind on Perry that long ago then you would’ve thought he would’ve found a team place when others were still building there’s.
Dicken is an intriguing signing cos he’s not pulled up any trees other than in name yet he’s managed to get rides at 2 big clubs. Belle Vue have proved in the past that they’re willing to give riders time.
I can see Mildenhall & Eastbourne making the play-offs with the other 2 being from Kent, Birmingham & Belle Vue. Then Coventry & Plymouth in midtable. Meanwhile the bottom end will be Isle of Wight, Buxton & Stoke.
Exactly so just because multiple guests happen already, doesn’t mean it should be actively encouraged. Not that it’s Cradley’s fault for choosing the best riders.
Dwyer signing changes things. Under previous season’s rules all riders have to have a permanent spot but something must have changed to allow the Dwyer signing. So riders out of work, like Bowtell, could have got a NL ride. Also NT meetings don’t count towards an average, so how will he get a 2018 average?
