In reality though, they’re only going to get 3 rides a meeting and based on previous Brummies teams he probably won’t last the season.

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2018
Islander15 replied to IronScorpion's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Phillips has proven that he can be amongst the points in the Championship, whereas the other 2 haven’t. Surely it’s a no brainer?! -
Dicken is an intriguing signing cos he’s not pulled up any trees other than in name yet he’s managed to get rides at 2 big clubs. Belle Vue have proved in the past that they’re willing to give riders time.
-
They must already know/have who they want to give Roberts a number 8 role.
-
Fortunately for the Potters, they’ve managed to strengthen the side due to Chessell & Lakeside’s demise.
-
You are correct. Perks’ average rules him out.
-
Knight or Mountain surely? Then they’ll have an out and out number 1 as well. Unless they’re too young haha.

Whilst I agree that they should both be on a 2.00, hasn’t the opposite happened to Clegg at Rye? -
I can see Mildenhall & Eastbourne making the play-offs with the other 2 being from Kent, Birmingham & Belle Vue. Then Coventry & Plymouth in midtable. Meanwhile the bottom end will be Isle of Wight, Buxton & Stoke.
-
If not literally the strongest, he’ll be in the top 3 with Roynon & JPB.

He’s about the best option out there! -
With only 4 team places left to fill, how do people predict the teams will get on?
-
Surely Lewis Rose will be one of them so no number 1.
-
Exactly so just because multiple guests happen already, doesn’t mean it should be actively encouraged. Not that it’s Cradley’s fault for choosing the best riders.
-
So only 1 and a bit seasons after Etheridge was described as one of the worst second tier riders ever, he manages to get a top flight spot!
-
Dwyer signing changes things. Under previous season’s rules all riders have to have a permanent spot but something must have changed to allow the Dwyer signing. So riders out of work, like Bowtell, could have got a NL ride. Also NT meetings don’t count towards an average, so how will he get a 2018 average?
-
It’s on the confirmed signings thread but Roynon, Jenkins, Bickley, Kemp & Edwards with 9.47 left.
-
They can still fit in a duo like Joe Lawlor & Taylor Hampshire. Imagine that as a pair of reserves in the final.
-
Fantasy league speedway continues... Of course they’re going to pick the best team they can but it’s making the Northern section a bit pointless.
-
Dwyer, Halder & a 3 pointer is my guess. Looks a decent team that should be edging into the top half.
-
Of course Matt Saul is declared but has already been replaced by another rider for the day
-
Bickley was in stunning form at the end of the season, like Brennan was at the start and Jenkins was at Mildenhall. With Kyle at Monmore as well this season it will give a better indication of where he is at in general, rather than how well he can ride his home circuit.
-
Another poor looking Stoke team despite the revamp.
-
Obviously you make a valid point. But the league needs to stay credible for people to want to watch and Kemp and others riding for most teams in the league last season made fans disillusioned with this being a team sport.

That’s the 2 best 3.00 men in the league signed up for next year with Edwards now in. This Heathens fantasy side is going to take some stopping
