So riders out of work, like Bowtell, could have got a NL ride. Also NT meetings don’t count towards an average, so how will he get a 2018 average?

Bickley was in stunning form at the end of the season, like Brennan was at the start and Jenkins was at Mildenhall. With Kyle at Monmore as well this season it will give a better indication of where he is at in general, rather than how well he can ride his home circuit.

Obviously you make a valid point. But the league needs to stay credible for people to want to watch and Kemp and others riding for most teams in the league last season made fans disillusioned with this being a team sport.
