  1. We’ll know for certain in a few hours.
  2. I give them credit for creating interest in the team, which a lot of clubs don’t bother doing anymore.
  3. Only if they don’t have a current NL average.
  4. Seems like the promoters don’t like an early start.
  5. Yeah I was talking about his age and said that on my previous post.
  6. He has a current NL average so you use that. You only look to the higher leagues if there isn’t an NL average from 2017.
  7. Seems a bit expensive on that average when he’s never pulled up tress anywhere in England other than Leicester. But fair olay to Workington for explaining his average, unlike some other teams.
  8. Technically. The rule has been relaxed for for a couple of years now though for him, so no reason to think otherwise.
  9. Poor to see the riders forced out by the rules, rather than simply the club deciding.
  10. They got away with it last year with Hurry, so its only history repeating itself.
  11. Good to see Shanes in the Championship!
  12. This does need looking at. During last season many meetings were weakened by teams missing riders but fixed nights for the NL are unlikely to happen. What are more likely are stopping riders from doing all 3 leagues or limiting doubling-up riders to 2 per team or, at most, 3 if a rider joins a Championship team mid season.
  13. There needs to be consistency with averages too. Isle of Wight were screwed over with Harland Cooks average, yet Hurrys average came from nowhere and it was well documented that Roynons was wrong but as its been allowed to start with he was allowed to continue!
  14. The unattached reserve situation is a good point and a real issue! It was ridiculous watching Kemp, Edwards, Halder etc riding for nearly every team in the league at the end of this season. Eastbourne seemed to get through every number 6 but didnt even track their own!
  15. Is it confirmed yet which race night the Lions will primarily use?
  16. Id like a points limit of 40.0 with 12 teams. Hold the first round on the NLKOC in the first week of May so its started early and doesnt end up with fixtures crammed late on. Also get rid of the NT. With 12 teams I dont think extra fixtures are needed, however bring back the Pairs & Fours so theres still more trophies to race for.
  17. The smaller number of league fixtures should ensure that clubs run them in summer and theres isnt the traditional cramming of fixtures, which can y be a good thing. However the NL has recently had the same number of fixtures that the Championship has had this coming year and certain clubs repeatedly still have to cram their meetings in the cold Sept/Oct nights. This move will help, but teams still have to be sensible and accommodating when arranging fixtures.
  18. The rules dont mention anything about mid season averages though. They only state averages at the start of the season.
  19. Its 4.00 for riders who start the season in the NL & Championship or who drop down partway through the season to do both leagues. But of course that rule was relaxed for Clegg & Carr this year who both had higher than 4.00 Championship averages. Also its been relaxed for Ayres for a while now as theres the 25 years old age limit which they ignore for him. So basically its pointless speculating as theyll just decide on a case by case basis Its different if they race NL only like Roynon in 2017 or start the season in the NL only.
  20. Im assuming traffic isnt much of an issue on a Saturday, compared to a weekday anyway.
  21. A team of reserves and third heat leaders so far. Not a patch on the other 3 largely signed up teams.
