Will Josh ride at 1? wondered whether he is better down the order when the track has settled down.I think at Birmingham he would of scored even more at no 4 but even so he has still scored very well.

A great GP career and what a great example for youngsters starting out in speedway one of my all time favourites.It must run in the family because his dad and Streety were great people and riders too and have enjoyed watching all of them.I shall remember his battles with Leigh the most great races between them and total trust in each other (No taking each other out ? giving plenty of room)I hope he enjoys the rest of his racing career and good luck to him in whatever he chooses to do after his racing days are over.

Iris you will know more about this than me but having looked back Sissis was in front of Ward in his career.?I see him beat him on you tube a few times and he certainly looked the business. Such a shame but got a excellent works contract and has paved out a excellent career for himself and must be just a good all-round motorcyclist.

Steve thought Lee was doing quick times as a 14 year though in intervals and training tracks reached the NLRC as a 16 year old scored 10 pts.Dugard and world champ Havvy had great careers also.

Lee was beating Mauger Olsen, Collins (ect)in a top class BL this kid you have mentioned has a bright future.But over the years there has been numerous young uns that never made it too top class.Willmott Garrad just a couple of examples.Ward is the Nearest i have seen come close to Lee in my opinion.

Agree at the time didn'nt realise how good Carter was i was a Lee fan but Carter was top notch.!He was world class and if fit would be a threat throughout the 80,s and Nielsen and Gundersen would Not of won 7 world titles between them!

Never happen again see a 16 year old come on the scene and test and beat the best.I first see Mike in the silver Plume aged 17 scored 10 pts that was when we had a mega tough B.L.All in all a great career we here about the lows i really enjoyed watching him and at his best took some beating.

I think in 1975? Boston went to the great Hyde Rd, against the mighty aces and got walloped maybe 57.21.?Mike was top scorer on 6 pts was in the mix on his first ever visit aged 16.Mind you he might of had a few training spins there? i am not quite sure.

Yes he is more deserving than Woffinden and I think he has a good shout .I hope we don't have a englishmen in it because we don't deserve one.

A terrific rider and i hope he does it, Ward was never in front of him anyway on achievements those two will be battling WC out in the future.! If he wins it he will have to go above Sanders, Crump senior) and Adams.

And so are others, world cup performances are not enough he has tailed off badly(when hear?) in the EL and he had a month at reserve average well under 8.If he qualifies no one will be more pleased than me because he is class but overall consistency over a period others are more deserved.

I agree it's not always the top riders that qualify the series should have the best 16 riders in the world in it.I think Ward and M.V should certainly be in it i wouldn't have a British rider in it either. Therefore AJ should be ok and on form in all leagues Iversen deserves a place.Another point is if MJJ doesn't qualify on merit i hope he doesn't sneak his way in because in my opinion he wouldn't of deserved it.

Talk about the speedway or don't bother! you have made your point and I think people get your drift. It was his choice not too ride in the series and he was right when entering he wants to be in a position too seriously challenge for the title .

I don't see as Darcy Ward has to answer to anybody ,certainly not Niamh.I don't know the bloke but we have all made mistakes so what!! To me he is a true pro great value and is easily in the top 10 riders in the world.Holder also to say he has grown up is a very patronising comment!! also he has made a few mistakes who hasn't? Becoming a dad does change your perspective on things but he is where he is by dedication, ability and having a great team around him.I hope Chris goes on too win the 2012 WC I just wish sky could show that GP Qualifier a great meeting in prospect I will be rooting for Batchelor and Iversen.

Have people got memories of these great match races.?i remember Kenny who was awesome at the shay beating Bruce 2.0.Then losing badly to a awesome Mike Lee 0.2 (home) 0.2 (away).Others I remember are (my favourite) Ashby vJansson. Crump v Lee (twice) 1976? and 1983. Collins v Crump, v Kennett, v Davey(a decider needed). Penhall v Crump and v Nielsen .Then Nielsen numerous times in the 80s great days any thoughts.

Barker has also been very poor as well, I know Auty has been at reserve but he hasn't done too bad at no 2.When I've seen them ride on tv and Swindon Barker was poor once Auty for me has looked the better rider.Out of all the names named Barker is the one I think won't make the step up.

Again Hasse you are spot on,but out of the young uns quite a few in my view in front of Woffinden.Ward, Janowski, Smarzlik, M J Jensen, M B Jensen.

Hasse you are right and he probably will be in it but does he deserve it? but no way is he a better rider than a on song FL and what I am saying is I don't consider him Britains no 1 yet.

How is that did he win the British title? he hasn't done anything yet to be British no 1.Not saying he isn't capable but on actual achievements he hasn't done it yet it's all what he MIGHT do.

Ward is one of the best riders in the world,the series needs him as fans surely we want the best riders in it?
