  1. Possibly but with 4 from 7 qualifying it only takes 2 or 3 good away results to scrape in so may only need one good month When Riss returns he will need to be back on it straightaway or it could slip out of reach quickly If Simon is replaced that change could well be just as pivotal. At home he is solid - lose those points and even with Riss back there could still be struggles
  2. They did indeed - at heat 11 I wasnt confident of the win let alone stretching it out to 8 Lewi Kerr inpressive - made the most of conditions being right for him Not the best from a racing spectacle but a close score in a local derby and a nail biting finish made it a decent meeting
  3. Great effort to not only secure the win but send the Stars home pointless. That took some spirit and battling qualities
  4. My money would be on that derby being more likely in the near future than the return of Ipswich/Norwich
  5. Only if you call some polite applause and the odd muffled shout giving it large
  6. Echo Gavans words re Lawrie An important part of the evolution of Ipswich Speedway was to find and nuture junior talent and Lawrie was one of those who rightly takes his place in the clubs history books RIP
  7. We have been known to cause a few knitting zombies to choose a different seating area
  8. Generally I disagree with those moaning about track grading. After all what is more important than trying to maintain a surface that has a chance if producing what fans want - exciting racing Last night did seem excessive. I would say that where that much work is intended more equipment is needed in order to do the work in less time That said we were rewarded with a number of great battles last night and a very decent race meeting
  9. Bomber was sublime tonight and Cam awesome. Im sure all the others will be kicking themselves which is how it should be as it shows it means something to them
  10. Yeah you got lucky At least karma came along to whoop Proctors arse
  11. Win lose or draw as a team All have had big scores and all have had some poor nights Cracking result and 2 points was the least we deserved
  12. Although the ref now has a regulation at his disposal to deter such actions Shame he didnt use it this time. Thankfully justice was done in the re-run
  13. Still adding - is that because the first 395 no longer fit you fat boy
  14. Just seen the news. Thoughts with Sam and his family. Wishing for positive progress and a speedy full recovery
  15. £20,000?? Thats over 1300 paying adults (taking account of VAT) Are there that many each week anyway to make that possible even if it was made free on the night? Charging full admission will mean many hundreds will stay at home and watch it on TV and is a sure way of maximising that shortfall.
  16. Lynn will win with a comfortable cushion at the end but be pushed hard in the process Looking forward to a great contest. If the Witches can nick a point I would be delighted
  17. When Sedgemen is the answer you really are in a bad place to be asking the question.....
  18. Which is the standard position that would apply to every team.....
  19. Pre season for me Swindon were 2nd favourites behind Wolves Between Wolves issues with injuries and Swindons changes I think the Robins are now in pole position Any Witches win in this one will be a great achievement and a real boost. If we slip to a defeat (whilst disappointing) it shouldnt be seen as anything more negative I still think the lads can take this despite the challenges
