  1. Im sure someone else will have If not you will have a couple of hours and £20+ a week extra to work with
  2. Agree totally about the differences and wasnt really suggesting a Hearn type figure could run speedway It was more the reference to player control causing issues and a more centrally controlled set up being able to regenerate the sport
  3. Irrelevant If a rider can buy their own registration from the BSPA then why shouldnt a new rider retain their own registration from the outset
  4. Which if correct makes a new rider (or any other rider for that matter) not being allowed to illegal surely......
  5. How did his 3rd division Polish results compare with any other riders in that league currently also riding in Britain? Surely that is the obvious basis for his assessment with a minimum of 4
  6. No as per my edit which I hadnt finished before AOs reply
  7. I agree AO Would only work if they all did it - a few on their own would simply be frozen out
  8. I believe it was previously possible but the loophole closed when it was seen that it would be very advantageous to riders and effectively end the 'asset' system which underpins the promoters position Edit An perfect up to date example is Drew Kemp. I understand he ideally only wanted to sign a 3 month contract to ride for Ipswich at the end of 2018 but it was ruled he had to sign his registration over to a club or not be alliwed to ride
  9. I would quedtion that as my understanding is that a rider cannot hold their own registration and that it must be in the control of a registered promoter
  10. Still to be clarified but would seem illogical if it didnt apply to Scott but did to Schlein for example (who may qualify under the criteria in the agm statement) Scott had a short time in the 2nd tier at the start but never in the 3rd
  11. Which is fine when that spending goes to the speedway club (and a sensible plan where it is the case) Unfortunately it is a small minority of clubs that could attempt that strategy
  12. Just caught the last couple of minutes during the mid session break of the snooker where players were asked what they wanted to change and Barry Hearn responded Hearn was very candid and his final answer....(paraphrased) "Snooker was in the doldrums until I took it on and why - the players had control. It isnt that way now because they dont control it now" Anyone see any parralells?
  13. Again then earnings meaning what - turnover or profit?
  14. So it will come down to which leagues are included that mean a higher starting assessment
  15. It would seem rather harsh for just 1 meeting. Didnt realise it was just 1 rather than a run of meetings
  16. Would that Lidsey and whether his Polish experience last year means he is higher than a 'newbie' 4?
  17. Are you saying earnings as in turnover rather than profit?
  18. That has been the reg in force but until the full 2019 set are released or a statement from a club re signing a rider in that position we wont know for sure if it remains in place
  19. Not overrated but has under achieved When he is working with others and challenged he gets whats needed done and it pays off. When left to his own devices he can let things slip and it shows He was poorly prepared coming into 2018 and it took most of the season to recover his condition Im reliably informed he has kept up the training this closed season and appears to be finally realising he needs to take more responsibility I hope he does whether as a Witch or not as it would be sad to see his undoubted talent not fulfilled
  20. Rory back at Lynn would be a real shock though
  21. Chin up J - it can only get better from here! (I think/hope)
  22. Thats 4 more than everyone has been thinking are signed Rory was always an outside chance given the Wolves connection and the Glasgow call off incident
  23. I expect he could be persuaded by the refurbished heating in the changing rooms
