  1. Drew Kemp to be a Tiger in 2019!! Unfotunately for Glasgow it will be the Sheffield variety
  2. Well it wont be Drew Kemp - Sheffield will have that pleasure
  3. Best of luck to Drew Look after him Tigers - Im sure he will do you proud
  4. When the limit was 45 new riders from elsewhere were coming in on 7 and 9 and Brits on 3 Now its 4 and 5 with Brits on 2 A couple of those in a side and 38 becomes an old 45 anyway
  5. Totally agree - Just pointing out the reaction IF it did
  6. It will only work if they stick to the multi year plan to build in the differential between the leagues Although that may mean a 38 limit in the 2nd tier in the coming years and forcing out the top riders from it That will only work if they manage to strengthen the top league too and make it financially viable for riders to rely on just that league No easy answers and no guaranteed success
  7. Robbo and Howe retired Others like Klindt strongly tipped to not be in Championship So 10+ new riders on a mix of 2 and 4 averages will make it much easier to hit 38
  8. With the extra team the reduction is not as dramatic as first seems From the same pool of riders the average team total reduces from the 42.5 to around 40 anyway
  9. Also need to publish and clarify criteria/averages for new and returning riders
  10. There is also the fact that Rory and Buster have history which would likely sway things further to Wolves But speedway is funny business....
  11. As good a prospect as he is it would not be right for him to jump straight in to the top league IMO anyway A great shame us Witches fans are unlikely to see the continuation of his progress in Witches colours immediately but what is best for Drew is more important
  12. That has been quoted by Louis and Hawkins but other opinions condradict those statements To take the 'achieved average' statement literally would mean no new riders being allowed No new Aussies No new Poles No new Danes No new Swedes None of those have achieved an average of 3 so would not be allowed I think it just means the floor is set at 3 and Drew would be a 3 despite qualifying to be a 2 in the Championship To be otherwise would be self defeating in the aim to help progression of British riders
  13. If Drew Kemp turns out in the Kings Lynn line up Id say there would be a significant number of Witches fans that would boycott Foxhall in protest as it would be obvious that the new set up is skewed and corrupt
  14. There was no such rule making GP riders 8+ - it was like one of those urban myths
  15. Indeed - I am aware of a number of people blocked simply for asking a question Nothing contoversial or aggressive just a simple straightforward question in a polite manner
  16. The reduction isnt so drastuc when you take into account there will be an extra team Even if you had the same pool of riders as 2018 (there have been a couple of returements) you would need to find 7 more to fill the spaces If these were 2 pointers the overall impact is to reduce average team strength to around 40 38 therefore is not as huge a change as it first appears
  17. Quite possibly and the prospect of that being the norm meaning an end to lian fees meant tge 'loophole' was closed
  18. Unless the regs have been amended then Bukhave would be on a 4 (min for any non Brit)
  19. Id say that means their registration is held by the BSPA who could at any time transfer that to a club with the rider having no say - thats very different from being a free agent
  20. Riders have not been allowed to retain control over their own registration for some time now It is a requirement to sign this over to a club in order to ride outside the NL Yes Drew would/did have a choice where he signed but would not have been allowed to ride in the Championship without signing over his registration to a team Clubs can only now sign British assets without qualifying meetings - any other rider registration requires the minimum qualifying meetings to have been ridden Clubs can no longer sign a list of foreign riders and just loan them out
  21. See when you believe this how can we trust anything you say Have you still got those Witches in storage that you planned to blow up when you scored a 5-1?
  22. A side issue but this is where the 'asset' system question rears its head again Why should Drew automatically have become a Witches asset (registration holder) in order to have ridden those 7 Championship meetings? Im not saying he wouldnt have chosen too anyway but to have no choice is wrong
  23. The 2.5% reduction will only apply to achieved averages 2 pointers are assessed so wont receive it
