  1. The rule re starting off 15m in a re run mentions nothing about it being in place just for situations where a rider stays down It states it is at the sole discretion of the ref where riders of one team are in 3rd and 4th at the time of the stoppage
  2. It did decide it due not only to the disgraceful decision but also to the fact that MPT missed as many as 9 races through the rest of the tie as a result
  3. There is a strong possibility that at least one of the competitions will end up unfinished IMO
  4. Everyone hopes that titles are won by brave and exciting overtaking moves and that you can heap praise on the champions Sadly the 2 moves most pivotal to Pooles success were Kurtz injuring Holder in the semi and Jackobsen injuring MPT in the final No intent for sure in either case but more important than any points won in the completed races that followed Without those 2 incidents no doubt Poole wouldve not won either tie
  5. Hopefully someone will step up Losing speedway at the showground would be awful
  6. If it looks slick it will still be grippy If it looks grippy be prepared to hold on tight!!
  7. The MPT/Jackobsen decision put the brake on the Lynn fight back and the subsequent requirement to use Simon Lambert twice more hurt them too
  8. Ackroyd wearing his Pirate costume in the refs box - one patch over each eye it seems!
  9. Where Steves comment does have some credence is in that the rewritten regs shouldve had the caveat re the guest situation that was written into the cup section also added to the play off section With some forethought the whole situation would not have arisen
  10. I usually hate it when the 'in the best interests' line is trotted out because very often the decision made quite obviously isnt! However this time I do genuinely believe that the solution IS in the best interests of the sport compared to running the 2 legs and the teams swapping guests at half time However ideally the regs shouldve been in place to prevent it anyway so it is still only the best if a bad job
  11. Credit where due - this is a sensible compromise There is hope for the future yet!!
  12. Its still not too late to tighten the regs to stop it There have been a number of supplementary updates during the season so why not another Also just because its not in the regs doesnt mean certain protocol is not followed. The Championship section states rolling averages are to include league matches only but instead it was decided to also include the Shield matches
  13. Lets not also forget that these raw newbies need someone to aim to beat
  14. Pedersen will be missed from a box office point of view - even though not always on the pace as before he still had people talking At some point though you have to move on to the next generation and Id say the time is right to say thank you but goodbye to Nicki
  15. The post did mention 'development league' but then suggested it at a level 'between Championship and NL' - that level isnt development level IMO
  16. Seems they inserted reg 18.2.4 into the KOCup without thinking it wortwhile adding similar into the league Play Off regs Half arsed again Common sense says it should be applied despite its omission
  17. It was a big point made in the post agm press release - perhaos it never made it into the book....
  18. If Ellis rides for both sides the result becomes meaningless and the 'sport' is confirming itself as the joke that many outside it believe it to be
