Also need to publish and clarify criteria/averages for new and returning riders -
There is also the fact that Rory and Buster have history which would likely sway things further to Wolves But speedway is funny business....

Kings Lynn 2019
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to Greg's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As good a prospect as he is it would not be right for him to jump straight in to the top league IMO anyway A great shame us Witches fans are unlikely to see the continuation of his progress in Witches colours immediately but what is best for Drew is more important -

That has been quoted by Louis and Hawkins but other opinions condradict those statements To take the 'achieved average' statement literally would mean no new riders being allowed No new Aussies No new Poles No new Danes No new Swedes None of those have achieved an average of 3 so would not be allowed I think it just means the floor is set at 3 and Drew would be a 3 despite qualifying to be a 2 in the Championship To be otherwise would be self defeating in the aim to help progression of British riders -

If Drew Kemp turns out in the Kings Lynn line up Id say there would be a significant number of Witches fans that would boycott Foxhall in protest as it would be obvious that the new set up is skewed and corrupt -
There was no such rule making GP riders 8+ - it was like one of those urban myths

Indeed - I am aware of a number of people blocked simply for asking a question Nothing contoversial or aggressive just a simple straightforward question in a polite manner -

The reduction isnt so drastuc when you take into account there will be an extra team Even if you had the same pool of riders as 2018 (there have been a couple of returements) you would need to find 7 more to fill the spaces If these were 2 pointers the overall impact is to reduce average team strength to around 40 38 therefore is not as huge a change as it first appears -
Quite possibly and the prospect of that being the norm meaning an end to lian fees meant tge 'loophole' was closed

REDCAR 2019

Unless the regs have been amended then Bukhave would be on a 4 (min for any non Brit) -
Id say that means their registration is held by the BSPA who could at any time transfer that to a club with the rider having no say - thats very different from being a free agent
-
Riders have not been allowed to retain control over their own registration for some time now It is a requirement to sign this over to a club in order to ride outside the NL Yes Drew would/did have a choice where he signed but would not have been allowed to ride in the Championship without signing over his registration to a team Clubs can only now sign British assets without qualifying meetings - any other rider registration requires the minimum qualifying meetings to have been ridden Clubs can no longer sign a list of foreign riders and just loan them out
-
See when you believe this how can we trust anything you say Have you still got those Witches in storage that you planned to blow up when you scored a 5-1?
-
A side issue but this is where the 'asset' system question rears its head again Why should Drew automatically have become a Witches asset (registration holder) in order to have ridden those 7 Championship meetings? Im not saying he wouldnt have chosen too anyway but to have no choice is wrong

The 2.5% reduction will only apply to achieved averages 2 pointers are assessed so wont receive it -

Depends who is put forward how free thinking they are whether ideas 'from the floor' actually get presented No good if its just a puppet of the promotion -
Unless the regs have changed Stewart as a non brit would be on a min 4 average
-
If so it may work the same way as rider transfer by stage payment - payment stops and ownership reverts back....

That was certainly the reg in 2018 but I havent seen it confirmed anywhere as to which figure applies in 2019 If the new conversion isnt applied then reducing doubling will be less effective as the increasing conversion rate will never apply to any rider remaining in both leagues every year It would then mean they are not affected until they retire which surely defeats the object -

I would hope thats exactly the sort of thing the powers that be would welcome if done properly Perhaps its something they should already be doing..... -
Peterborough Panthers 2019
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Until there is any action that suggests otherwise I'm happy to take the positives from the situation We have all 3 teams in the same league and at the current highest level - 2019 could be a great year and one to remember for all the right reasons -
I think its understandable for fans of all 3 clubs to have some reservations about the situation but until any actions prove otherwise then I am happy to take the positives for all parties The league structure has been stabilised The Witches are in the league that in 2019 best suits them Peterboroughs future is extended Kings Lynn fans get to feel all superior for a while (temporarily of course )
