Agree Jason that the 2nd tier reserve berth should be exclusive for Brit riders to progress from NL and like the idea of them staying at reserve all season

Can only go by the fact that a significant number of posts on this thread are stating 1)Top league speedway at Boro doesnt work 2)2nd tier speedway at Boro doesnt work 3)Weekend speedway at Boro doesnt work 4)Weekday speedway at Boro doesnt work 5)Any combination of the above at Boro doesnt work Of course how representitive that is of the real view of the pussycat faithful is not proven and there I would bow to your greater local knowledge Im just very surprised at how much negativity there is for ANY proposal even given thats what the BSF often does best -

Non Brits currently come in on a min 4 and cannot drop below 4 so that would have to change for that to be an option Personally I wouldnt allow any rider under 4 in the Premiership anyway..... That said I tend to agree with the principle of recreating the gap between leagues Ideally 2nd tier heat leaders should only be reserves/lower second string in the top league -

Sounds like many of you think the best plan would be to turn off the lights, lock the doors and hand back the keys..... You should be delighted anyone wants to take it on and keep it going (at whatever level) -

Count me out on that £10-12 is not a realistic or feasible price for entrance to any professional sport -
May depend just how drastic any changes are in the structure of the leagues There are some suggestions Championship level could be 6 man teams at around 36 point limit with the 'top end' riders excluded Perhaps that would mean a switch now retaining the likes of Rory and Danny seems more attractive

Thursday Isnt that what the top league really want anyway.......

I would imagine that the football club can/will offer some kind of grass roots/community deal which will bring with it access to FA and lottery funding -

If you put that £80pp cap in place then quite probably even those you list wouldnt be taking a huge cut David isnt the only one Ive heard say they are earning the same or less per point than 10 years ago -

Perhaps more of the Thursday teams will be in the top league anyway making it less likely to be opposed..... Peterborough strongly rumoured to be moving up and availability of the showground apparently much better during midweek too -

Whomever it is its done and dusted and the plan to move up in place is what Im hearing -
Would Drew want to jump straight into the top level? As good a prospect as he is Id say concentrating on a full year at the middle level (assuming there is still one) would be better for him
-
Well IF it does happen that wouldnt be a bad start
-
Indeed - a lot can happen over the next week

Thats terrible This year Ipswich didnt run the 16 Lapper which was due as part of the season ticket A pro rata refund cheque was sent within a couple of weeks of the confirmation the season was finished with a letter apologising for the meeting not happening and thanking the fan for their valuable support -

Cant see it being possible to get the points money down to £40 per point I dont think the Ippo reserves were even on as low as that and the top end probably double at least At £40 a rider averaging 6 would be earning less than £10k from 40 meetings - that doesnt even cover 1 bike for a season let alone a 2nd (or more) as is expected by clubs (and fans) and thats before they earn anything!! Ippo I estimate average 1000+ and I doubt make a profit (although due possibly to paying above average rates and higher stadium rent than most) To achieve such a reduction I think you are looking at a NL+ standard rather than even a diluted Championship It does show that all is reliant on those sponsors and benefactors Re admission - certainly not a £10 sport - thats a pie in the sky thought Where we are now at £15-18 is about right for the mid level league I think a proper 'top league' could go to £20+
