  1. Ive cut it down to what I see as the most important point Whilst the sport can only attract 500 or so then the price charged is almost irrelevant IMO
  2. There have been a few studies/articles setting out this point which have resulted in some heated debates on several threads
  3. The 28 ban would extend to both leagues though Ray
  4. No choice Even where a captain notes each meeting that riders pay is not up to date it will take a time to get it sorted If a rider refuses to ride as he has not been paid what happens? Does he get backed? No Instead he gets backed into a corner and threatened with a 28 day ban
  5. Boro is one of the clubs that have a fan base at a level and with the potential to tempt enough back to be able to consider a move up The biggest question mark may well be showground availability to fit with a top league requirement
  6. I think it could be blocked Hawk although perhaps through the SCB rather than the BSPA They are the legally appointed body to licence all tracks in Britain Any non British licence position would have no basis here
  7. Dont get me wrong I agree with the sentiment of your idea but just adding a bit of realism that it cant just change over one winter If you could have a workable combined league of say 18/20 teams meaning the riders had the same number of meetings but for 1 team rather than doubling up then happy days Unfortunately I cant see such a situation being possible right now
  8. Needs a huge amount of goodwill from the employer for it to work Some would find that but many other wouldnt
  9. 50/50 id say - happy to take the positives at the moment Danny certainly is the type to show the determination required to make it happen if its possible
  10. Those suggesting riders cant be full time need to also then accept that if their plans to completely stop doubling up were implemented that those riders may miss meetings to work elsewhere (particularly when rearranged)
  11. For balance my vote goes to Crump99 for his lighted hearted positive outlook on everything
  12. Dont believe you are allowed to do that anymore To gain a rider registration (asset) for a non British rider they have to ride and qualify with the required minmum meetings
  13. Surely with everyone being so well off the riders could pay their own - after all they are probably using £50 notes as toilet paper
  14. • Rider of year - Ricky Wells • Most impressive team - Peterborough (pre injury) • Team rider - Mason Campton • One to watch - Jake Allen • Bulldog - Craig Cook • Meeting of year - Brit U19 final • Surprise - Berwick • Underperformers (team) - Sheffield • Unluckiest rider - Danny King • Newcomer - Drew Kemp
  15. In the real world £75 is .... A whole weeks shopping (any restaurant is out of the question) Bus fares for a month A years clothing budget The only sky they see is the one above their heads
  16. Thought Douglas was about 6.1 Just because he had to requalify for a visa doesnt mean he he will come in on 5.2 again
  17. It would plateau out Even if you had 11 teams starting out at 45 at the end if the year the average team total woukd be around 42.5 The overall quality would rise with the same riders seeing their average fall marginally for the equivalent performance
  18. Like the idea of allowing continuity but surely if a team is averaging 45 and can replace a 7 point rider with a 7 point rider it would be unfair to only allow a team averaging 40 to build back to 42.5 Perhaps allow all teams to build to the total of the highest averaging team instead
  19. I heard a figure of just under 1100 for the attendence - ia that correct?
  20. One reg I would want to see changed is the reassessment of those on outdated averages Milik would be in that category for me......
