  1. Those suggesting riders cant be full time need to also then accept that if their plans to completely stop doubling up were implemented that those riders may miss meetings to work elsewhere (particularly when rearranged)
  2. For balance my vote goes to Crump99 for his lighted hearted positive outlook on everything
  3. Dont believe you are allowed to do that anymore To gain a rider registration (asset) for a non British rider they have to ride and qualify with the required minmum meetings
  4. Surely with everyone being so well off the riders could pay their own - after all they are probably using £50 notes as toilet paper
  5. • Rider of year - Ricky Wells • Most impressive team - Peterborough (pre injury) • Team rider - Mason Campton • One to watch - Jake Allen • Bulldog - Craig Cook • Meeting of year - Brit U19 final • Surprise - Berwick • Underperformers (team) - Sheffield • Unluckiest rider - Danny King • Newcomer - Drew Kemp
  6. In the real world £75 is .... A whole weeks shopping (any restaurant is out of the question) Bus fares for a month A years clothing budget The only sky they see is the one above their heads
  7. Thought Douglas was about 6.1 Just because he had to requalify for a visa doesnt mean he he will come in on 5.2 again
  8. It would plateau out Even if you had 11 teams starting out at 45 at the end if the year the average team total woukd be around 42.5 The overall quality would rise with the same riders seeing their average fall marginally for the equivalent performance
  9. Like the idea of allowing continuity but surely if a team is averaging 45 and can replace a 7 point rider with a 7 point rider it would be unfair to only allow a team averaging 40 to build back to 42.5 Perhaps allow all teams to build to the total of the highest averaging team instead
  10. I heard a figure of just under 1100 for the attendence - ia that correct?
  11. One reg I would want to see changed is the reassessment of those on outdated averages Milik would be in that category for me......
  12. Perhaps Rob Godfrey dictated that a Worky thread could not be started on a Friday......
  13. Good result to set up a great 2nd leg Worky have overcome significantly bigger deficits but I think Lakeside may be a tougher nut to crack Can see it going down to the last heat or two with Worky just nicking it
  14. Well done Worky Is this team the quirky worky cup converter the upgrade to the average converter
  15. Easy to see the difference just by the open spaces being less open! Foxhall last year for the cup and play off semis and finals was heaving in comparison to the norm When you have 3500-4000 instead of the normal 1000-1200 its obvious
  16. The regs I believe state any aggregate tie goes to golden heats if taking place after a certain date (end of May??)
