  1. 4 Championship No1s isn't it plus 2 heat leaders and the RS will be a Championship 2nd string Yet a significant section of posters continue to state that without the GP stars there will be little difference between the leagues.....
  2. The Championship has already resisted anything that upsets the exact set up currently in place for 2026 Don't hold your breath that it will be any different for 2027 in terms of them working together

Finally announced what was agreed and has been an open secret sincere about August then I think the vast majority of Ipswich fans will be hugely disappointed to see him go but delighted if Dan can keep progressing I feel having the comfortable surroundings of what he obviously sees as home will help him make the next steps on the international stage A decent talent with a determined attitude and a solid professional approach so should continue to do well

I've just come in from the shed having spent a couple of hours with a piece of 4x2 that shows greater understanding He may or may not be out of his depth but in the team listed he is the RS so does not carry any average and therefore irrelevant to the debate Each team has that young Brit in that place The No6 position does form part of the team limit and it is there that the minimum standard requirement is pertinent Now Cooper may or may not struggle in that position. If he excels even I would be delighted. By crikey we could do with a dozen more like him! However he is rather the exception So again, the Premiership is not the place for 2 point newcomers in the No6 position

It's not about the principle of if someone should have a higher average in the Championship - that's very obvious What its about is ensuring only suitable riders take team spots in the Premiership It shouldnt be a set up that has 2 point newcomers who in 99% of cases would be woefully out of their depth. It should be about higher standards and riders capable of being competitive If you can't see that logic then your brain is 2 points short of a team limit

I would think it is because the desire is to have riders that are of a standard fit to be in the top league rather than filling a team with fodder to gerrymander the remaining places Personally with a RS position in place I would say that the other reserve should actually have to be at least 4 points let alone 3 or even2! (and non Brits should not be allowedto drop below this figure) The other point in this which I will put forward in a devil's advocate role (because I understand the attraction of wanting the best for your team) This shows some of the reason why the sport in the state it is - despite all that has gone on, and the league all but falling apart, (not out of the woods yet) the first serious chat about team building involves how the regulations may be changed/manipulated in order to give a team an advantage And we wonder how we got to this point.....

  14. Apologies if I missed something from you I'm sure I've seen the sign them but allow them to miss away meetings as necessary put up Mute point anyway as none of these are signing up for an any day of the week league
  15. I think one big league is absolutely inevitable (unfortunately imo) However if/when it happens it has to just be what it is from what's available - no making up rules like letting some riders ride in home meetings only etc Something like that is more ridiculous than a 5 team league

It is utter fantasy that Belle Vue could've joined one big league and named Bewley or Kurtz Even with a ludicrous situation of them turning up for any weekend away fixture without them being "accomodated" what's the point The home teams uppirters don't see them - ripped off. Belle Vue have to race without them- ripped off Take into account they would be on 12 points averages in a team total needing to be not much above 30 and it means Belle Vues travelling team would likely be 7x 4 pointers One big league would have to exclude (whether by design or reality) the top stars and indeed ALL those in Poland (2027 will mean no choice anyway) So also take out Lidsey, Brennan,Ellis, Cook, Blordorn etc etc Teams built to 30 with 3/4 NDL standard

Nothing is more precious and valuable than time and family - particularly when where you have been working couldn't give 2 sh!ts if you were there or not At 54 I've recently exited a job after 36 years and if I have any say in it have no plans to work again and if I do it will be on terms that suit me
  19. Starting point would be teams built in region of 30 point total on current Championship terms and each containing 3 or 4 NDL standard riders

I can certainly accept the sentiment that there is not a significant enough difference between the 2 leagues (due to the number doubling up) but not that the Premiership is simply the Championship plus 6 elite riders Championship No1s are 3rd heat leaders and even second strings in the Premiership You have Premiership reserves and even the RS slots who are heat leaders in the Championship Premiership teams are the equivalent to 55-60 points in Championship terms
