Exactly George. Im glad Ipswich has embraced social media and fan engagement (over the last year or so particularly) and I believe it is working. A short video from each rider signed as part of the release of the team tonight. Cam in Oz, Nico in Italy and new signing Haertel in Germany but still easily set up nowadays.

Apparently there were a few on Facebook expecting Covatti to start at reserve for Ipswich next year on the basis he was named last when the team was revealed! That says it all about some fans grasp of averages.

Alex was spannering at Foxhall last year. Think he did a little Grasstrack and that was it from a riding point if view.

Very happy with that. Almost as yoy were from the start of last year. Dont know much about Haertel apart from him being talked about from any early age. Disappointing that Kyle and Nathan cant be back with us but that is the nature of the sport. Both will get a rousing welcome from the Massif when they visit with their new teams 👍👏 2018 bring it on 🔊🔊

Also the League campaign is only once home and away so a poor start is more difficult to make up. Of course IF the League Cup fixtures count towards averages a team could choose to sacrifice that competition.....

Not so easy with rolling averages returning

Possibly but not certain. Averages were reset in 2017 rather than a continuation of rolling average.Harris for example dropped down using only his 2017 Prem figure. Any others that only rode Prem in 2017 should be dealt with the same way. Thas not to say they will be mind! As ever could depend on whos asking who.

Apparently an average cap for those without an existing Champ figure has been introduced preventing a limited number of riders (one of which is Scott) dropping down.

Dont know as not aware of where the cut off set or who else may want to d/u that hasnt already got a Champ average Edit There may be more than 1 other. I may have taken 'it only affects a couple of riders' too literally
