  1. Think this could have more swings and roundabouts than a travelling fair!! Sheffield still favourites although the 3 fallers at Glasgow perhaps puts some fitness doubt into the mix. How much is mind games to take the pressure off only they will know. Would hope the Witches can stay within 14 which would be the max I would want to chase. Under 10 would be a fantastic result. Good luck fellas - enjoy it Up the Witches 👍
  2. A work colleague mentioned today about Rob Chandler plugging the final at the football last night. Also was said that there will be bike/riders on the Cornhill promoting the match. Certainly it seems you cant knock the effort to get the word out for this one 👍
  3. thank you. Im very pleased to see it. I have only made 1 trip but liked what I saw. Its a decent set up with a track that can produce good races. Id say somewhere around 750 makes 2nd tier speedway sustainable so that has to be good news.
  4. Nothing bitchy at all and the inverted commas were purely to indicate they were the words used by a previous poster. Just a genuine interest in the actual estimated numbers rather than 'up 25%' If you know its 25% then you must know the original figure and what it has risen to.
  5. blimey that would be a bit tight. so would that! 😲
  6. So whats the estimate for last Fridays 'biggest crowd of the season' ?
  7. 'very healthy levels' How many on average is that approximately then?
  8. Would make sense. The only thing I can think of to prevent this is if stock cars are running Saturday 7th. Foxhall restrictions include (I think) having no more than 2 events in a 8 day period.
  9. Come on Baldy cheer up! If we were having a poll to give you a new name there would only be 1 winner... DoomyMcDoomface.... 😛 Its gonna be tough and Sheffield are strong favorites but I dont think its a done deal. We were 2 up after 11 heats in our league visit. Yes they now have Kurtz and Bates back and we may well have Connor out but Id be disappointed to go down by 26.
  10. I think this thread is questioning the KOCup semi in the fixture lists of both teams for Thursday 5th October for Sheffields home leg when the reason for holding the first leg of the final (subject to progress) on Thursday 28th is that the stadium is unavailable the week after. So is the cup date postponed?
  11. I think the confusion was that someone said the food was a scone but was misheard as the food is gone 😆☺
  12. What Kyle told you they dont sell food in the snack bar 😜
  13. Will need to ask Worky to rearrange their home meeting next Saturday then..... Greaves is the No7. He replaced Hume whose average remains at 2. Connor started at and had around a dozen meetings at No6.
  14. good luck finding a rider under 3.25 that in the last few weeks has beaten Howarth and Masters at their home track...😩
  15. and HIS response to that was mature and professional and a credit to him.
  16. and had around a dozen meetings at 6 rather than 7 so even more impressive really
  17. Hope Connor is OK - he has been fantastic recently and deserves to get the experience of being part of the end of season big meetings.
  18. The 2 really big decisions of the tie were Riss in heat 14 at Foxhall and Schlein in heat 8 at Armadale. Would be great if these appeared on the BSPA 'video vault' for all to see and debate....
  19. Just watched the EMTV after meeting focus and needed to say what a fantastic production this is. I hadnt seen much of this before outside the odd video clip and didnt realise the depth and quality of their efforts. Top stuff and 👏👏👏 to Scott and all others involved. All clubs would benefit from having something even half as good in their promoting armoury.
