  1. A borefest such as this is bad enough at anytime but when it is the showpiece opening round it could be even more damaging to the series. 😴😴😴
  2. Just been on scb regs and seen SR1705 👍 Not sure of the merit in that. 👍👎
  3. Thanks for the clarification. So the regs copy/pasted on other threads are wrong? Or has there been an amendment post season start? Either way it would then mean Berwick could build to 42 instead of 40 - 2 points higher so same difference.
  4. initial declarations and changes prior to first set of averages are to 40.Once new averages earned/awarded then 42 for any redeclarations (or like for like only)
  5. absolutely - and it may not this time. If not though Berwick could effectively build to a new team total of 44 rather than 42.
  6. in which case if you make further changes that arent like for like that should be applied
  7. tend to agree with you steve although if the will was really there then Bens dream could possibly be acheived.Would take a huge overhaul and include rider control allocations rather than free team building IMO. The set up required would not be acceptable to all teams (ie the level they would be placed at) hence my reference to 'if the will was really there'
  8. so what are you suggesting he would join a SGBC on - 4 , 5.6 or 9.03??
  9. Gappmaier has been listed to ride on the Witches site preview all along.
  10. What would be the situation with someone like Tungate? New average will be around 4 which with old 1.4 multiplier would be 5.60 for 2nd division. Could he now double up on that figure or would he still retain the 2016 9.03?
  11. Bridger is the key for me.If he has his equipment sorted then it will be tough for us. I have more hope than expectation of a Witches win.
  12. Going by the details on the website it continued to rain at Foxhall until around 8pm so in that case covers would make no difference.
  13. It did cease for a bit around 7.20 but there were intermitment spells of wet stuff again after. How hard it was at the track during the time the meeting would've been on Im not sure - I was a few miles away by then. Granted there was a chance covers MAY have allowed this meeting to be on but by no means certain. I also cant remember another call off in the last few years where a call off at Foxhall would've been prevented - rain has always been falling throughout. Generally Ipswich have a very good record of getting meetings on even in challenging conditions wherever possible.
  14. where as in Ipswich it stopped about 7.20 (but damage already done)
  15. Agree with cueball. Promotions are between rock and a hard place. Ipswich had no rain til mid afternoon and then only light. Tweeting at 5 all was well track could take the rain due. It then comes down harder than forecast and is called off at 7.05 with people waiting in the carpark. A pain and unfortunate but cant be helped IMO.
  16. Not sure what is best. Wait like Ipswich til last minute promising all is well and then have to call it off and being accused of lies. Or like Sheff call it off early and then it seems all ok and then be accused of being too hasty.
  17. 50/50 with rain. Most forecasts are for it to be patchy and fast moving. Just depends if we get lucky - whats the chances of that eh! 😠
  18. not heard from him in a while. Certainly keeping a low profile.May well even be out of the country again.
  19. which is about double what he actually acheived
