  1. then you could have King Worrall Wells Manzares Tressarieu Heeps 3pointer would ensure a top notch reserve all season as well as the genuine No1.
  2. Options with both King and Tungate are possible but limit the bottom end needing 2 3ish pointers. King Tungate Worrall or Risager Manzares Heeps O Greenwood Sarjeant
  3. I would like to see the assessed rules adjusted so that they are not reduced where the rider fails to achieve the initial figure.
  4. is this the same promoter that when the poor design of his track is mentioned puts his fingers in his ears and goes lalalala lalala Im not listening?
  5. so we just need to find someone who should be a 7 pointer, argue they should be a 3 pointer and settle for them to start as a 5 pointer!
  6. Unfortunately I think you may be right. If the limit stays the same then Worrall out and a 5 pointer in fits.(I think!) Who knows though - perhaps there will be some bid surprises.
  7. I dont see the post as pathetic or slagging off.Its a harsh but possibly fair assessment. What it lacks is a real insight into what Cooks ambition really is. Is his inability to land rides abroad despite his efforts or as a result of his lack of effort to secure any? I dont know that - only Cook and those closer to him do. However when you look at the Elbow/Belle Vue video and the reasons Cook states for taking up speedway (in the subtitles) it makes it easier to accept someones opinion that he lacks some ambition. I hope thats not the case in reality as despite not being his biggest fan myself I would like to see him kick on internationally and not just settle for the easier life. At the end of the day though its his life and his choice and if what he wants is PL with easier monier a solid income rather than risking breaking a budget to move up then he shouldnt be villified for it.
  8. I thought Pirates always buried their treasure....try the hole on the first bend - plenty of room there!
  9. had completely forgotten about Pollen! Agree that would have to go with Doolan if picking by position. Andy Nightingale (sorry Andy!)
  10. yeah at Ipswich we have awards play offs so despite being top in the regular season Gino went out in the semis! wink
  11. For Ipswich I can start off with Franz Leitner Jurgen Holtgren Jamie Luckhurst Jari Makinen
  12. they want the ones we definitely should be keeping!
  13. Anybody pick up any 'nuggets' of info at the dinner?
  14. A little surprised to see Rohan named rider of the year. Thought Gino would take it or perhaps captain Ritchie.
  15. Interesting to see how right or wrong you can be! Morten Rohan Gino and Ritchie all performed at the top end of my thoughts. Adam pretty neutral. Richie and Cam a point under even my worst fears! Which just shows how strange speedway is as Worrall Heeps and Ellis would be the first names on the teamsheet for me in 2015 along with Gino.
  16. Id expect that any youngster from Scunny and northwards is as likely to be prepared to go up as want to travel to Ipswich Plymouth or Somerset. The whole idea would be to expand home grown riders over time.
  17. Agree it would difficult at present to have majority of Brits but it should be an aim. To that end regs should be set to help this such as Brit only reserves. Also assessed averages should be a minimum and not reduce where not acheived.
  18. Id like to see an all British reserve rule implemented -perhaps with a fastrack type No 7 in place as part of that. Aim should be for min 4 Brits in each 1-7 IMO.
  19. Jorgensen is a rider I personally quite like and is someone I have thought we might be interested in before. I agree with you in that I dont expect much of a different set up. One or two changes only IMO. Any more would be a bit of a surprise. A lot will depend on the non assets. If Worrall and Ellis want to be back I would be surprised and disappointed if we did not want them back. If they choose to be elsewhere then perhaps there is no real decision to make as to who goes.
  20. Similar average to Morten but even more inconsistent. A bit more exciting whilst doing it though perhaps.
  21. more likely Jack Holder. I understand they will name him on a 1 point average to give them more room for negotiation this year! wink
  22. With the fast track system looking to produce the next British World Champion (allegedly!) it shouldnt be fogotten that the likes of Derek Sneddon are equally important. The backbone of the 2nd tier capable of mixing it with the top end at that level at times and the first benchnark for newcomers to measure themselves against if they have ambitions to 'make it' in the sport. Enjoy your retirenent Derek.
