I agree with both to an extent No doubt he is the most improved rider in 2019 and has been sensational. Has shown he has the talent in the past but has added consistency Whether that upward curve can be maintained or indeed if he can even maintain his new average is the issue. It does make him a greater risk for whichever team he signs for

I fully agree with this. Yes there has been the usual mud slinging from various quarters but this is the cold reality once the 'banter' stops For ANY club to run at ANY level requires a huge amount of goodwill and sponsorship right from ground level fans to the big corporate main sponsors There is no club in the land that could've withstood the situation Poole found themselves in. It certainly isnt about poor promotion. Whatever faults Matt Ford has can be debated but a lack of promotion and savvy isnt one of them I dont buy the 'surely he can swallow one season' position - let it go on and the next season isnt the problem it is the whole existence of a club at risk. For that if the switch stabiliises then a switch is right That is pretty much the situation Ipswich found themselves in and moving to the Championship was exactly the correct choice at that time The fact that despite better than average attendances and an enviable sponsorship position still meant that a move back to the top level wasnt a no brainer says it all about just what it takes to run at the highest level Even with what has to be considered a very successful year at Foxhall I dont imagine Chris is sitting at home in a bath of £50 notes!

Apologies Steve - didn't realise it was a tenner today
-
How do you work out that you will get 30 heats? You will get the 15 for that match meaning £28 (assuming no season on season increase) for 17 heats - 2 of which (at least) will have been pointless
-
£10 off after 2 shambolic heats is a kick in the teeth Those 2 heats have cost the poor sods that turned up £8!!
-
You are a fool I have no need to dream it - I've seen it each week with my own eyes and have no reason to lie or exaggerate
-
Yes IMO Ipswich have seen an increase. My estimate would be up by around 250 on average to somewhere around 1500 for a normal meeting The play off attendances were in the region of 3 and 4000

Good luck with that one! -
The trouble is when promoters and fans call for this it's only when they are on top. When they are 5th and 6th they dont sing the same tune I can see the merits of it but would say that any club can keep the same 7 that ended the season so long as it's the same 7 that started it When a team has made 2 3 or 4 changes using what are easily manipulated regulations where you can end up over the points limit without even riding a meeting then it cant be right (this is a generic point and not aimed at Swindon 2019 specifically)

Send Doyle over instead then...... -
I was being conservative! As Baldy states it could hold a lot lot more. The main back straight stand holds 3500 alone - how many spaces do you see? There is then the concrete terracing that was 10 deep right round bends 1 and 2 as well as along the back straight below the stand and not forgetting the home straight stand Now you've got me thinking I'm edging towards 4500
-
No doubt you could find an example or 2 for every club. The difference with Poole is doing so has seemed to be the basis of their operating model almost to the point where if they play it straight you find yourself second guessing what the angle must be....
-
Until now they have been the club with the best sponsorship which has allowed them to be out front. Now it seems they are not and perhaps can no longer compete Obviously Poole feel that by moving to the CL they can still be the big fish they want to be
-
Only really feasible if they can get amended planning consent
-
That has to be a possibility although Sheffield may want Thursday back and Kent seem keen to jump up.....
-
The Witches and being ahead of anything is surely a contradiction (except Poole in semi finals)
-
Pure formality. BTW despite our relative success (certainly compared to expectations) our time in CL was at least as good as this season No discernable difference in racing quality. Give it a fair crack and any fan will enjoy it despite any reservations they may have initially

With a 1.6 multiplier set to be in place and possibly a 38 point limit if there is an increase in teams good luck with that.....
