Shanes is a good little rider for sure but his lack of gating ability, his tendency to override at times, along with riding on many tracks he hasnt seen could hinder him. Good enough signing for sure but there are better out there. What i will say is the Poole fans will love his attitude and style of riding
-
A top 4 of Lindgren, Thorsell, Masters and Joonas would be the best top 4 in the league. Get one of the best 2 2 pointers in JPB or Hume alongside Clegg and you would be hot favourites
-
Thankfully its only a couple of Poole fans with this attitude, the rest (although probably disliking me) are a decent bunch. Shanes is a half decent 2 pointer. Are there better 2 pointers out there? Yes of course there are. He will however try his heart out every race and will be a crowd pleaser in that respect. If he ever learns to gate he will be a good rider but that is a handicap that he will struggle to overcome. Saw him at Ipswich and he was bike lengths behind riders such as Connor Coles going into the first bend, yes he rode his heart out and did pass him once and then another time Coles fell off and another time both did. I wish the lad well but fear his gating will let him down big time especially at places like Wolves and Rye House.

Does he? i was unsure who ran Poole speedway thanks for telling me. Its called opinions pal. And because you dont have any opinions apart from the fact that everything that Ford does is always right then thats why you get the stick you do. Some people believe Poole are wrong to let Holder go , including some Poole fans
-
Zach and Hume and certainly JPB are all better riders than Shanes.
-
Wasnt talking about KK!! You mentioned Hampel who i was saying was flakey!! And yes ask anyone down the pub who isnt a speedway fan to name a club and i would imagine a majority would say Belle Vue. Still the biggest club in stature in the UK irrelevent of their finances and lack of trophys.
-
Yep i get that as well, but as i say a bit of loyalty for someone who has served the club so well wouldnt go amiss
-
You misread me mate. Wasnt talking about KK, Poolebolton said Hampel should ride for Swindon instead of Doyle, i was calling Hampel flakey
-
Just thought Poole would have shown Holder some loyalty. I agree not much between Holder and KK but surely Holder deserves his place, very strange to me
-
2nd biggest team in the UK , im assuming behind Belle Vue. Why would you have a flakey Pole instead of Doyle?? Shanes , a good little rider yes, top 3 young riders in the UK?? Not even close

As i said Shanes is a tidy rider, never gives up and will be a real crowd pleaser. His gating is appalling though then he can over ride trying to get back on terms, hanging off the bike to much. Something Adam Ellis did when he first started at Ipswich. If he can iron that out and improve his gating he could be ok. I agree with the Holder thing. Poole have signed a 2 pointer so plenty of room for Chris. Many alluded to the fact he had a fall out with Ford and this seems to be the case and the whole 'points limit' is a smoke screen. If Poole had adopted the strength in depth strategy like Rye House then yes i can see why Holder has been left out, however if the sign KK then its obvious to me the problem with Holder isnt just the average.
-
James Shanes is a tidy little rider but cant gate for toffee so may struggle against other reserves. Never gives up though gives 100& but can be a tad erratic with his style. Top grasstrack rider so should have no issues with the lumps and bumps around Wimborne Road. The Poole team looks ok but could be awful on the road as the middle order of Holder Kurtz and Newman not great away from home. Rye House still look far more solid
-
Still some bitter Poole fans who cant seem to understand that Tai coming in was totally in the rules. Tai had an average from 2 seasons ago, ok it was low but it was a true real average Hans Andersen got a ' season ending' injury. Poole brought in one of the top 8 riders in the world on an average that was low for a rider of his abllity who since he last rode here had improved to world class. Yes i can see how Wolves bringing in Tai and Poole bringing in Lindback was the same!!! Deluded

Middlo is an ok manager, there are a few who are better and a few who are worse. Having the best team season after season given to him does make his job easier. Isnt as good as Adams and Rosco has won the league with 2 different sides which werent with the best team. Middlo failed Poole last season, that side should have walked the league and they underperformed
-
My view No Holder - mistake Poole team so far? - Average not exactly exciting needs a good number 1 Pooles track? Getting better but still not good. Back to Swindon and the basis of a good side is forming. One good solid second string and a potent reserve are a must though
-
Hans Andersen and Freddie Lindgren are early favourites closely followed by Jason Garrity lol
-
Almost as pointless as you being on every Poole thread claiming the sun shines out of Ford's arse. Its a bit of light hearted fun...............now run along and deliver those papers
-
Very early days with a number of teams not signed riders up yet but Rye House are definately setting the level along with Wolves and Swindon. The Wolves top 3 of Lindgren, Thorsell and Masters looks likely to be the best top 3 in the league. If they get Klindt as a second string and Clegg at reserve it looks a good side, and Swindon with the powerhouse scoring of Doyle also look good
-
you will be banging your head against a brick wall trying to talk to him. He has gone on most threads today having a pop at Swindon and Somerset. Its heart warming to see that even the true Poole fans realise what a fool he is and are embarrassed by him
-
I agree. KK, Hans, J. Holder, Kurtz, Newman would be a very strong top 5 and nigh on unbeatable at home.
-
Poole would be mad in my opinion not to go for Kasprzak. If they dont Hans at 1 could be a weak link without 2 similar back ups. Look at Rye House, 3 heat leaders in Kennett, Nicholls and Harris who you would expect to get similar averages to Hans, they were half a point behind him last year though they rode as heat leaders all season and Kennett was actually higher. Add in Watt and Robson as 2 very solid back ups as well.
-
Have a little look at last seasons premier league stats.............if Robson isnt a decent premier league rider then Kyle Newman must be absolutely shocking!
-
Max Fricke would be a great addition to any line up. World Under 21 champion and likely to be in the gp's in a couple of years i would say. Fricke is clearly a better rider than Kurtz at the moment. I have no issue with you. But the whole forum including Poole fans know exactly what they get from Starman. I was merely pointing out that he always says riders improve once they join Poole. He has alluded that he knows someone who will improve a tonne at Poole, im just stating that they can improve at any club.
-
The place to be lol Oh and im on a thread with premier league racing thanks..................they changed the league names do keep up
-
Get a grip for christ sakes You know full well im pointing out that i think the two top 3's should get roughly the same.
