How is the system punishing British youngsters? They all got an average based on their performances last season??? Garrity, Newman, Auty, Starke, Ellis, Howarth, Lambert. All their averages reflect their ability do they not? If you ask me last season was worse for the youngsters, if they did well in reserve they were put up in the 1-5 and Poole as an example could have the Aussie champ and Bjarne at reserve! How is that good for the youngsters??? Ellis has a fair average, nicely complemented by the fact Newman is on a low one for a rider for his ability

Missing the point by a country mile. The BSPA are not at fault for Ellis's average, why on earth do you think that? His average is a true reflection based on his elite league performances in 2016, a season where he quite clearly (especially at home) he was comfortable as a second string. Answer me this. Is Ellis better than Newman and Howarth? Is Ellis not as good as Garrity or Lambert? If you answer yes to both those then you can have no complaints whatsoever about his average. Granted he hasnt been fixed up anywhere but apart from Doyle then please enlighten me as to who has got a place next season? He is more of a risk then some experianced riders if he moved tracks and that may hinder him having a new home track. If i was a Poole fan i would prefer the young improving brit over someone like Bjerre Schlein or Watt. Apart from possibly Watt you would fancy Adam to be better at Wimborne Road then Bjerre or Schlein would you not? Adam's average is 100% correct as advocated by the vast majority of Poole fans Poole dont want him thats there choice they are entitled to track who they want. I just think its a poor show to lose him and replace him with a Bjerre, Schlein or Watt

I was standing by the pits at Foxhall when Somerset were last there. It was during the interval and Tungate came over to 2 Somerset fans who firstly congratulated him on his performance. To sum up his response: Chris gives them a different track each week and the home riders hate it. Love getting one over them keeps the crowd quiet. Worst track in the league Follow the leader Just need to set the bike up from the gate.

You need to read over my posts again Lisa as quite clearly you havent. And how on earth can it be anti Poole when im saying they should back young British riders I said Ellis in the top 5 could be a liability away from home in the play offs. Which is something ive said in relation to him finding other clubs. I stand by my opinion that at the time the World Cup team was announced that Bates deserved that reserve spot based on international performances and winning the British Under 21 title. Im not saying Adam is the best thing since sliced bread. I am saying he is a young improving Brit and has been discarded (not for the first time by Poole) in favour of giving a foreign rider work. Why pick Gomolski over Ellis for example? They dont have to sign Ellis at all Just seems crazy they would scrap a young Brit (again) for a foreign rider , when that young Brit is improving rapidly

Ellis could easily be fitted in His average fits in with all the other young brits, higher than Newman and Howarth, and lower than Garrity or Lambert. Even his dad has been saying its ridiculous how he is out of a team place but jonny foreigner can come in with loads of sponsorship. Its left a bad taste with most Poole fans on here that Matt Ford has told him already that he isnt part of the plans. Seem to remember Poole doing this before sacking Howarth for Mickey Dyer. Why? Nobody has really done any team building yet. Ellis scored heavily from number 2 at Poole last season, getting 7 and 8 points a meeting. If he goes to another home track then he could be seen as a risk as he would need time to get used to the track He would be no risk for Poole at all

Gater1 check your facts about how often Ellis rode at reserve and how much I'm the main team before you spout rubbish. Ellis doesn't have a false average which 95% of Poole fans know and agree with. Seems to me only you, Starman and Shovlar don't agree!! Nothing new there then. Poole are dumping a promising young Brit that's a fact you can't argue with. Get in Batchelor or Watt and see a you g improving brit out of a team place, well done

Points limit is fine and teams need to work within them for the good of the sport. Holder hasnt been forced out, he dislikes Ford and hates the track. Poole could fit him in and still track a decent side As pointed out by everyone (including all Poole fans) Adam Ellis has a fair average. You are clueless if you think he should be lower then say Howarth. Poole not using him is just plain daft. Sack an improving Brit!! 100% correct. Take a look at the team Kings Lynn came up with which includes NKI, King, Lambert as heat leaders and Lewis Rose as a second string and Huchenbeck at reserve. And totally correct that its comparable with other riders in the league, a fact missed by many. Poole should in my opinion have built the side around Holder, Newman and Ellis so on the whole debate only you and Shovlar see an issue with Adam's average, nothing new that you 2 cant see the wood for the trees. Poole have sacked a Brit, a Brit who improved leaps and bounds. And instead of him we will see the likes of Jack Holder and someone like Palm Toft. Adams average is comparable with every other rider and thats a fact not opinion. i know we dont see eye to eye on some things but ive always said Adam had a brilliant season (at the time i still felt Bates deserved the reserve in the world cup, but i admit Adam has kicked on more) and the way Poole have treated him is awful in my opinion. Jack Holder is a good rider but Adam could take another big leap forward next year but instead been cast aside. Why promotors dont back young brits is beyond me

why? Sarjeant would be a strong second string as you could find and its unlikely there will be a better 2 pointer in the league than Hume Get the other 2 places right and who knows

Poole missing a trick with no Holder. Andersen on the downgrade and Kurtz and Holder are not elite league top quality yet and Newman is what he is. Why Poole have dumped Ellis is beyond me. The biggest improver by a mile and now dumped. His average is 100% correct yet he is replace by Jack Holder when arguably there is nothing between them. Back the brits!!

Dont agree He is marginally higher than Howarth which is correct, and last season especially at home he scored well. I doubt any premier league rider is capable of scoring their carried across average. Cant see Garrity or Tungate averaging over 8 personally so its all relative

very fair assessment and good to hear decent Poole fans realising Ellis average is 100% right. I get that its annoying he is an improving Brit and i cant understand why Poole wont use him. I still think if you have a big hitting number 1 like Holder it will be an advantage. Matt Ford usually produces good team and with Holder at 1 i would expect him to build a competitive side

Nice team i think. Improvers in there in Kurtz, Ellis and Jack Holder and Newman should maintain his average. Glad you can see that having Chris on that average is a bonus as in this league he should be good for a heck of a lot of points. Unfortunatly Ford has said no Ellis and i find that staggering. Why Poole want to drop a young improving Brit is beyond me. With the limit at 50 points its been mooted that that will lower in line with riders scoring so if riders drop points they cant be replaced by higher averages Top line rider is the way forward, just seen on Kings Lynn thread a 1-7 of: NKI LAMBERT KING KLINDT ROSE HUCHENBECK BAILEY Proof that Poole can use Holder and find strength in depth

I see the same old usual guff from the same person. Ellis achieved a large proportion of his average from a second string role and had a much better season than Kyle Newman. That is a fact and isnt even up for debate. Is he a better rider than Newman? Yes he is and far more likely to keep on improving as well. Quite rightly his average should be higher than Newman and it is. He is lower than the like of Garrity and quite rightly so. Kyle Howarth comes in on 7.18. Ellis outperformed Howarth so should be higher and quite rightly is. 1 point higher than Paul Starke and marginally higher than Auty. Ellis proved quite convincingly that he was capable especially at home of banging in big scores from second string. Nothing wrong with Ellis average it fits in with everyone elses. Sour grapes from the same people who feel that Poole should have different rules from the rest of the league

I dont think the averages of Holder or Doyle will stop a strong team being put out. Look at it this way: Team One: 12, 9, 9, 6, 6, 5, 3 Team Two: 9, 9, 8, 7, 6, 6, 5 The heat leaders from team 1 should walk all over team 2 heatleaders Team 2 has 1 point better off in the second strings Team 2 is slightly stronger in reserve The way it is structured i can only see Doyle and possibly Holder over here of the GP boys. The 2 of them should clean up and be good for 14 or 15 most meetings. Thats powerful scoring and will massively help the rest of the team Matt Ford always builds good sides, why Poole fans are doubting things is beyond me. Get Holder and 2 good 9 pointers and they alone will get over 30 points a meeting, get in improvers at the bottom and Poole will be favourites Seems to me Holder doesnt want to ride here and rather than saying that will use the rules as a cop out. Everyone knows he doesnt get on with Ford and dislikes the track.

Well your wrong there buddy ive commented a few time son the Ipswich thread re Risager not coming back and who we should build our team around. Ive also commented on the Belle Vue thread, Rye House thread and the Somerset thread as well. Thing is its a forum , you know where you can make opinions on anything on any topic, its allowed. This is a thread about team managers and my first post on the subject was on page 1 of the thread saying who i though the best 3 current managers are. Now im sorry you are to precious to accept Middlo isnt one of those. As it happens its only 2 people on here, you and Shovlar , who think he is. Biased as always basically. If you dont like opinions then dont comment. People wont always agree with you. Poole have had the best 1-7 pretty much every season Middlo has been there. Wouldnt be difficult to win the league with those sides so why does that make him a great manager?? Rosco (who also isnt the best) won the league with 2 different sides, lets see Middlo move to another team and then see how he does

Take Middlo away from Poole he would flounder, as proved when he failed with Team GB. Even Rosco is ahead of Middlo Spot on, Middlo not even close to that great man spot on as well. The speedway world knows he is miles ahead but you have blue tints on here your wrong He has the best riders and this year mucked it up. He isnt bad but to say he is the best is a joke
