  1. Connor Coles is a trier and a decent gater. The only issue he has is the failure to stay on the bike for 4 laps sometimes from over riding. We chose Hume and Mountain over him for a reason. However i do wish him well and hope he does well for you guys (until you come to Foxhall lol)
  2. Tell me about it. Average signing for me , far to inconsistent. Jack Hoder is a greta signing and Shanes was a good signing..........Klindt the jurys out
  3. Sorry?? Ive been watching speedway for 35 years and wether i go or not i still see the results, i still see the performances of our riders. What i cant always see from not going every week is wether the effort is there. I can pass judgement on wether i think our team is good or bad and as ive said it looks a decent side this year. My life isnt all about speedway. Betwen the ages of 10 and 18 i would go Ipswich Thursday, Hackney Friday, Arena Saturday and Rye House on a Sunday, funnily enough my life has changed now somewhat. I didnt realise i had to go to every meeting to have an opinion
  4. Whats your point? I get in from work at roughly 7pm most nights and Foxhall is an hour away. I have 2 young children , one of whom does drama classes and the other does roller skating These take up my time and my money and are far more important to me then making sure i go to Speedway every week and spend £60 odd for the privilege. And i go win lose or draw, i pick the meetings that i think will be close and good racing not the ones that Ipswich should 'definately' win. My children and seeing them and supporting them in the things they do are far more important to me then going to speedway.........discuss
  5. Ah bless you thanks for your words. I will support any rider who puts on a Witches race jacket and gives 100% Unlike yourself i have a life. This means i have to work and have a family. I live an hour from the track and finish work around 6.30pm, hopefully you can work those maths out. Therefore i pick my meetings and last year i went to 5, Newcastle, Sheffield, Glasgow and Somerset twice. No disrespect but im not going to rush around and watch us versus Redcar or Plymouth. I know your job is seasonal selling comics between March and October and therefore you sponge your way in to meetings for free before sloping off home for your takeaway for one.
  6. On the subject of people having double accounts just go and have a look at posts 722 and 724 on the Ipswich thread!! Our very own Starman has 2 accounts! Except this time he forgot to log out and change his name! Go have a look he has a pop at me and then replies to his own comment!!! Priceless. Now we have to work out which other poster he is. As for Klindt could be a good signing but his average is low for a reason, misses the gate and is awful. Can see him getting 2 in one meeting and 8 the next so inconsistent
  7. Team as expected and looks as strong of not stronger than last years on a lower limit. King will be nigh on unbeatable again. If the track has the changes I would expect Nico to average more and Rory has always gone well at Foxhall. Heeps will be as good as Sarjeant and Newman should do as well as Morten. Some fools say we look weak in reserve lol. Most teams will have a 2 pointer and Hume will make a mockery of that. As long as Connor chips in with 3 or 4 we like very very strong. Been a long time since I've had this much optimism
  8. erm nope he was ticking the mickey out of him............different to trolling and something that Starman is used to........just check every thread. Just seems to be the Poole forum where multi alias posters appear. New names pop up daily it seems, funnily enough as others go missing.
  9. This Wolves team is building up to be the benchmark for the others. 3 top class heat leaders in Freddie , Jacob and Masters and Howarth and Clegg is a strong 5. Get the other 2 right and they have to be favourites
  10. So are we saying the team is: King Heeps Schlien Newman Covatti Mountain Hume. Looks decent enough to me
  11. Im not going over old ground. I know the Loram family and i know exactly what went on. Mark wasnt impressed with what Norrie did, but Tony was offered and paid more than Mark including transport. The way Norrie tried to negotiate didnt sit well with Matt Ford and quite rightly he turned elsewhere. I cant prove facts to you but Tony was on more than Mark was offered. Mark never had an issue with Matt hence his farewell meeting was there but Matt and Norrie didnt see eye to eye Anyway this is the Wolves thread so apologies
  12. had this discussion before. Norrie asked for a world champions salary for Mark. Matt Ford refused and then brought in the 3 time world champion for more money then Mark. Dont get me wrong Tony was a better rider than Mark and Norrie asked for a rise. Poole still paid Tony more than Mark and that is a fact. Poole have money if the need to use it
  13. Poole used to use cheque book speedway..............a case in point is when Loram made way for Rickardsson. Poole can pay more than some other teams thats well known and documented
  14. you think I don't know that Risager isn't riding here?? Jeez I was comparing him to Newman! And your comparison of Newman beating Tai and Freddie is irrelevent. Newman has always performed better in the top league. His average in the lower league is less than Mortens which is the only relevant thing. As I said if he puts it all in Kyle will be ok but if not then I'm not sure he will average what Morten did
  15. Rye House put down the gauntlet not Poole. If Wolves sign who they are rumoured to be signing then they look the strongest so far correct. Either Holder or Kurtz look like being the third heat leader so that's the first weakness. Decent side shaping up at Poole they will be there or thereabouts but Rye and Wolves still look better to me
  16. Nothing going on at my club at the moment lately, we have heard Newman may be signing for us so naturally i commented. Why should it matter where people post? Its a forum. And for someone that says they dont support Poole you spend an awful lot of time on Poole threads as well
  17. Morten was a steady 7 point rider nothing spectacular but rarely let us down. Im all for having Brits in my team, would rather see Newman than a foriegner. Kyle could have the potential to get to a number 1 in this league but doesnt for whatever reason. I hope if he signs he improves but he was a second string for a reason
  18. My response I havent complained about Newman signing but is he any better than what we had in Morten? His average is correct for a reason, he under performs every year in the lower league. I will support him as he will be a witch but i will reserve judgement until he shows form at this level
  19. I will support any rider who rides for my club And up you pop! Commented on the Ipswich thread today hope thats ok with you
  20. Hi Gater1 Wants to ride for Poole for life? Soon as the averages change he could be the first name out of the door. Did Pole improve Newman? Reserve for 6 season? Ellis certainly improved
  21. Your wide of the mark here by a long way. Skidder doesnt really like me but he isnt a troll far from it.
  22. Looks like Newman going to Ipswich. Any chance he can bring his ability to the lower league?
  23. Belle Vue should do everything possible to get Holder. Best rider along with Lindgren around the NSS. Would form a great spearhead with Steve Worrall , Cook and Fricke and Jacobs at reserve
