Dont bite back mate. Its a Poole thing riders only improve when they go to Poole please remember that. If he had stayed at Swindon or Kings Lynn he would have never made a gp rider. The fact is he isnt British as Poole have a poor record with Brits.
-
Capping the averages is totally irrelevent. Has to be the same as everyone elses in relation to the points limit. Give Doyle a 25 point average and make the points limit 100. Its all relative. Compare Doyles average to everyone elses and it makes total sense.

Darcy Ward Says No Holder At Poole No Me At Poole
Gavan replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Simply................why dont you just shut up -
is that a real statement? Last year was a flash in the pan?? If all riders have the same season as last year then they will all drop the equivalent of the 1.4 multiplication. This is a weaker league and if Doyle takes it seriously then he will be nigh in unbeatable
-
why leave any of them out? Put Holder snr in with Newman and that would never get beat at home. Why cap Doyles average?? In most meetings he would get 5 points more than Ellis or Jack Holder so his average is correct for this format! You suggesting you cap riders at 12 is foolish. You cant multiply some by 1.4 and not others!
-
every riders average is to high! Ellis is better than Newman and Howarth and not as good as Garrity or Lambert and the averages reflect that. I said before 95% of riders will see their averages drop. get a grip. One day you will actually know what you are talking about. Hans Andersen on a far worse average than Doyle. Love the sour grapes
-
There is but apparantly according to some Hans will not be the top average ride at Poole next year. So who will be higher then 10.01 that will come in and be better than Holder?
-
Ok lets look at your post paragraph by paragraph. Yes the Poole promotion are daft for not picking a rider, thats my opinion. Do i think they are daft over the years? No there trophies back that up, thats my opinion. Do i have honesty and unbiased opinions? Yes im honest in my opinion is they are daft for letting him go. I have no need to suck up to Adams father lol. He took issue with me telling him Bates should have been in the World Cup team instead of Adam, an opinion i stand by. Time has proven that Adam improved more than Bates. Funnily enough his dad thinks he has been treated poorly, guess he is biased. Greg Hancock won the world title but was he the best rider in the world last year? No it was Doyle, think you will find 99% of people on here would agree with that. ANd yes Lambert is the best young brit but maybe Adam is more promising. And Hans might not be number 1 and thank you for your concern over my eyesight. Just funny how the usual Poole fans bang on about Holder being to high yet they are looking for a rider above 10.01 to be number one? Erm you just let him go!!
-
Again failing miserably to actually quote what i posted! Up to the World Cup Bates had performed better than Ellis internationally, was British Under 21 champion and did well in the first round of the World Under 21. I satnd by my choice that he should have been reserve. Check back over my posts and i said Ellis outperformed Bates after that point.

This is the Swindon thread am i ok commenting on this? Ah your one of those Poole fans who dont seem to like it when people have a different opinion on your team. In my opinion Poole should have used Holder and Ellis
-
Well done Swindon in signing Ellis. Horrible the way the Poole promotion discarded him and great to see him fixed up. Looking a good side already at Swindon Come on you know how Poole discard riders been going on for years. Unless Adam was an aussie or a pole he had no chance of staying
-
Glad to see Ellis snapped up. Daft for Poole not to include him. A lot of Poole fans were saying that he could miss out on the top league this season because of his average, well i guess that theory has been proved to be tosh. Most in demand young brit snapped up straightaway as expected. Top rider in the world in Doyle and the best young brit in Ellis, Swindon looking very strong already , still Poole do have a rider at number one in Hans on his way down
-
correct, cant have one rule for one and one for another. Ellis is a better rider than Newman and i would have thought Ellis would have achieve over 7 with ease in the premier Let me just edit your post You really have to wonder how much lower our sport can go when a rider that was competing in the EL can come into the EL with a heat leader average the following season There that looks much better.

Darcy Ward Says No Holder At Poole No Me At Poole
Gavan replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No there wont be huge gaps for riders to come in as its already been mooted that they will look at the limit at the first set of averages. This will stop riders deliberately lowering their averages you may not think much of me but Robert72 has shown his vile character many times either about Darcy or Tai and try to kid everyone he once rode. As said Darcy is still a bit of a brat despite the tragedy that occured but in this case he has nothing to answer for -
See what i have highlighted? Then please go back over the posts on the thread and highlight where i 'have screamed' about his average please. Hans Andersen has an average of 10.01 My original post was i believe he will lose nearly 2 points off of that average. Gater1 disagreed with me and in his words said he would maintain his average 'no sweat' I highlighted that last season he averaged 7.15 from second string and top 5 combined so how on earth could he improve to 10.01 Gater1 backtracked and said ' no 10 points a meeting' I then told him that 10 from 5 rides is an 8ish average so i was correct in saying he will lose 2 points. Gater1 then said he was talking about 7.15 starting average not 10.01 We were talking about 2 different starting averages (though i have no idea why anyone would use 7.15 ) Not sure why you feel the need to get involved

Darcy Ward Says No Holder At Poole No Me At Poole
Gavan replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Can't see anything wrong with what Darcy has said to be honest. He is still a bit of a fool irrelevent of the tragedy that happened to him but in this case there is nothing to be seen here! Case closed -
why would anyone talk about maintaining an average that isn't being used??
-
your backtracking so fast it's unreal. I said Hans would lose 2 points of his starting average. You honestly think I was saying he would lose 2 points off of 7.15 making him 5.15??? Course you didn't. You get found out , you were wrong and now your using 7.15. Forget that average it doesn't exist!!! its hilarious mate!
-
ah I see your now backtracking so much you want to use an average that isn't even being used anymore?? His REAL average is 10.01. You want to use last seasons average to try and make you look right. You have the audacity to call me an idiot.
-
so your now saying he will maintain his 7.15 average?? Well if he does Poole will be at the foot of the table as your number 1 needs more than that lol. Ive said he will lose 2 points off of his average of 10.01 do you agree?? I ask because you expect him to get 10 points which is about an 8 average?
-
sorry what's your point?? Join in the debate about Hans average if your intellect will let you sorry it's hard to deal with people who either can't see there error or simply won't acknowledge it
-
nope Gavan did not say it would be tougher for experianced riders. Please highlight where I did thanks. I simply said Hans would lose up to 2 points from his average. Your exact words were he would maintain his average no sweat. You then realised his average was over 10 and backtracked and said it would be 10 points a meeting which from 5 rides is an average around 8, this 2 points of his average as I correctly stated. Stop fabricating that I said it would be tougher. You have been caught out and now make up stuff
-
Bit disappointed that Barker not coming back but I think Chris is looking for a bigger hitter. Sarj may well retain his place and then another 5.5 rider to replace Morten. I would imagine Chris has someone lined up for Ben. Could be Schlien who goes well at our place
-
thank you for admitting you were wrong it's good to know you realised your mistake. You clearly stated Hans would maintain his average 'no sweat' was the exact words you used. You have now completely backtracked and said Hans will get 10 points a meeting. Well assuming you mean 10 from 5 rides I will let you do the calculation as to what that makes his average (a little clue, it's very close to 8.00). So when you said I was wrong that Hans could drop 2 points off his average you are now agreeing with me. Thank you for proving me right
-
Hans averaged 7.15 from riding second string for some time last season as well as a heat leader. I expect from riding at number 1 the whole time in an easier league (possibly) that he should get over 8. That's almost 2 points off his average.
