  1. Im just wondering why the meeting wasn't abandoned as the track was far worse than Warsaw that produced overtaking? Was the starting mechanism fine? Or am I being cynical?? What a farce of a series
  2. lol yes you have you called someone a liar with no facts to back it up then when it's evident said person is proved to NOT be a liar you don't have the decency to apologise. You are I'm afraid quite a sad little petty individual with no gumption or backbone
  3. Starman you tool give it a rest your pathetic and childish, I apologised to you once when I accused you of not congratulating a team that had beat Poole when you had done. You can't do the same to all the people you have had a go at over this and got it badly wrong. It takes a man to admit he is wrong and you buddy are no man
  4. Absolutly spot on. Maybe Middlo and Ford were lied to by Darcy though. Fact remains that anyone who defended Darcy Ward is now made to look quite daft.........and that is the fault of only one person Darcy Ward
  5. my first british final was 1990 and correct Loram and Louis were not ready then but go forward a couple of years and they were along with the Tatums and Havelocks. Louis was world number in 1993 and Havvy obviously world champ in 92. Smith and Screen were also in world finals and Loram after injury in 93 made it in 1994. Let's not forget that in the early 90's Paul Thorp was also riding at a top level. My point is that the pool of riders we have now is far removed from back then and even the early90's wasn't the golden era for British riders
  6. you are that biased against Glasgow you can't see a simple decision! Bates was the cause of the stoppage quite clearly yet you seem to be the only person on here who blames Konopka!
  7. Sorry but to me the squad is poor. Yes we have Tai and Bomber and a hot prospect in Lambert but the depths we have to go to now to get a squad is shocking compared to the Danes or the Poles. I remember the days of Loram Havelock Screen Louis Doncaster Smith Cross Tatum Wigg all in the same British Finals and pick any of those 4 and what a force in a team event. And before that, before my time, the likes of Lee Carter Morton Pc and the like. British Speedway was thriving. Now the Worrall brothers and Garrity are decent enough riders but discussing if they should be in a GB squad shows how far the standard of GB riders and has dropped and i dont mean that disrespectfully to those mentioned
  8. Starman telling someone else to zip up ........oh the irony. Its simple Ward should never be given a permanant wildcard and not be granted a free ride into next years series. He should be made to qualify and lets face it he should be good enough to get through the qualifiers
  9. sorry but i find these comments pathetic. Tai Woffinden is a credit to British Speedway. Stop all the crap about being from oz he wears the Union Jack and has done good things for British Speedway. If you care to look at the facts he is contracted to his Polish club to perform certain duties for them over the weekend. If he fails to do that he is in breach of his contract and in danger of a big fine or expulsion from his club. The best pairs is NOT an fim event so he isnt legally contracted to ride. What would you do in his position?? Get off the guys back we have a British World Champion in 2013 and all people want to do is knock him. The issue is why we have Schlein riding. Well done to Tai for not riding tonight and actually doing the right thing
  10. Edinburgh win against a solid enough Diamonds septet but because they don't thrash them they trot out the excuses. what a sorry bunch. Cook was so unfit he was able to pass Kerr in his second race so not to bad.
  11. the ruts were not a problem, surely you have seen meetings run on far far worse tracks then that even some under water. The fact remains if the starting tapes hadn't failed the meeting would have continued
  12. Can only see this being a comfortable home win by around 20 points. R/R is no good to cover a top rider so getting in Harris should make Poole hot favourites
  13. not what im saying. Forget Janowski. Im talking about whoever replaces Holder at 1 while he goes to 2. If it was say KK or Tai or Ward then of course its an issue. But effectively he is replaced at 1 by a rider who isnt his equal or better so i cant se how Holder at 2 benefits Poole that much. I know that when its heat 13 i would still rather have Holder and Magic out there then Watt and Magic.. The points Holder gains at 2 will be counter balanced by Watt having harder rides. Might get away with it at home but not away. Unless Poole make changes they could struggle for top 4. Coventry, Belle Vue and Kings Lynn look certs for the top 4 and Wolves have started well to
  14. I have no issue with Holder riding at 2 if thats what his average dictates. It makes no difference if Holder rides at 2 and bangs in 13 if his replacement at 1 doesnt score much. It only becomes an issue if the rider at is world class which Watt isnt
  15. what a pathetic attempt at trolling Lambert has to be in. And Cook shouldnt
  16. Firstly well done Sheffield. Our problems stem from Cam and Rohan struggling at home and Richie struggling everywhere
  17. As i said pretty irrelevent Holder riding at number 2 if the person replacing him doesnt score that well, as proved by Watt yesterday. Magic is a massive loss for Poole but the dreadful inconsistency of the others is proving an issue.
  18. I think we all are fed up with the way Poole try to run the sport for their own benefit. Back to the match and with no Janowski and a badly out of form Holder i can only see a fairly comfortable home win
  19. So basically after god knows how many pages of waffle it seems that the majority of us were right all along. The riders got the meeting called off because of the situation of the starting gate. The fact that the track was tricky then was used as a very convenient smokescreen to get the meeting called off.
  20. I think we all want to see the real Holder back. However surely his confidence would come back quicker on a track he knows is safe and decent
  21. I disagree on this a bit as the track surely cant be helping. Granted he had a huge smash and yes his confidence has to be low. But if he is racing on a decent surface he would probably be more inclined to 'have more of a go' On the ploughed field of Wimborne Road he doesnt feel at ease on the track and will certainly not have the confidence to try anything. If he makes the gate he seems fine at Poole. if he misses it then he doesnt seem to want to mix it on a poor track.
  22. im assuming your joking. Even you can't be that thick to believe what you just wrote.
  23. nice to see an unbiased report from a Poole fan and congratulating Belle Vue. One of Pooles biggest issues is the track and quite clearly it's affecting Holder
  24. Well done Belle Vue what a cracking result. EF for Zagar cost them the win. Still issues with Holder not dominating meetings like he should
  25. God you speak crap. I would as ive said before love a rider like Cook in my team and this year we have one in King. If Cook guests for us, even though he isnt liked at Ipswich, we would applaud him if he did well for us, we are not as fickle as Edinburgh fans. Masters is a class act on and off the track and would be much welcomed as a guest. There are many footballers i dont like but if they signed for my club i would applaud them if they did the job but still doesnt mean they are my favourite people spot on. If Cook guested and got anywhere from 12-15 we would applaud . If he scored 8 or so then he hasnt done his job and would quite rightly not be cheered
