Still cant get my head round the reasoning of some people. FACT - Darcy Ward was over the limit to ride a speedway bike. That is the black and white of it all. Trying to find of some legal loophole or technacaility to get out of it will not teach Ward a lesson at all. So what if it was an off-duty Policeman? You telling me he wandered in to the pits and randomly tested people? Of course not he was supposed to be there. The talk of banning him for 2 or 3 years is to harsh. I said 8 months would suffice. However i cant get my head round people looking for any little flaw in the proceedure to get Darcy off. If you were true Darcy/speedway/Poole fans you should want the right thing for the sport and for Ward and that would be to ban him for failing a breath test

What on earth are you rambling on about? Nobody has said he was drunk He was over the limit its simple really. You dont have to be staggering around with a bottle in your hand to be over the limit. Is it beyond you to realise people want to see Darcy back and reformed?

I for one want to see Darcy back as a reformed person. However it may do him good to get away from the comfort zone he is in at Poole where quite clearly the management there do not help him in anyway. Middlo consistently comes out with ridiculous statements that just bigger belief sometimes. Matt Ford for some absurd reason dedicated the title to Ward last season when he was the person that could have ruined the title for them. Sadly while the Poole management drool over him and let him do what he likes and see no wrong, you have to wonder if he will ever learn what us right and wrong. I've just read over the quotes again from Middlo and they just smack if a complete buffoon The one about his mechanics is the funniest! Take a breath Middlo and ask why his mechanics are sitting around! Also the fact that being over the limit is not performance enhancing so its not a problem lol. Let him get mullered before a meeting then because that way he will just ride round at the back and not be a danger! All Middlo needs to say is the club will support Darcy whatever the outcome but no he just spouts off crap.

well the person who set up the thread, customhouseregular, talks in his opening post of likes and dislikes of the play offs starman also comments on the play offs and so do others. yet when I comment on them and in fact show no sign of anything anti poole in my post you choose to mention my comment and nobody elses. correct the league play offs are not in the world cup but the thread starter includes them so for once concentrate on topic instead of trying to throw another anti poole cheap shot hoping for others to join in, when quite clearly you are wrong

Cant stand the play offs personally. I know why they are in place and they need to stay to help the sport survive but it becomes an absolute farce to me. Last season Poole or Kings Lynn were worthy champions and it panned out that way. The year Coventry won it from coming from the bottom to the play offs and beating Poole who were superior all season was a joke. Same as 2 years ago when Poole came 4th but because they could make changes were far and away the best team come play off time and robbed the deserved winners in Birmingham. Lets face it that season even Peterborough stormed into 5th and if they had pipped Poole to 4th would also have won the play offs. I dont like the fact the play off winners can just be the form team at the time , or one without injuries. If you finish top you are champions simple. Poole (when Coventry beat them) and Birmingham (when Poole beat them) were denied the league because they built the best team at the start, thus couldnt change it

and along comes the village idiot with a ridiculous 'trolling' comment as per usual We all want to see Ward back racing but the ban has to fit the crime quite simple really. Nobody wants to see his career over and i would say everyone wants a 'reformed' Ward back on the track doing what he does best. If the only comments you can make are to inflame a situation then its best you keep quiet

i can judge who I like! As I said if you was told if someone who had done the things Darcy was involved in then you would judge their character. It's simple really we all make mistakes but as of yet mine and I would guess most people's are not on the scale of Darcys but in your little world you seem to think he is just unlucky! Darcy the speedway rider I want to see back on the track but if you think the are no flaws in his make up you clearly are deluded

No i havent made the same mistakes Ward has off the track. i have to say allegedly but we have heard the stories of the hotel, we have heard of the fight, we have heard of the drugs, we have heard of the fleeing from police, and now he is banned for using alcohol. Yes ive made mistakes but not one on the scale he has, not even close. Those are serious misdeameanours. I used to have a mate who most Fridays would end up hurt after fighting , but amazingly it was never his fault according to him. Wether right or wrong Ward has been at the centre of a lot of issues and he cant be innocent all the time, he obviously puts himself in the wrong places or with the wrong people. It doesnt help that people like Middlo dont appear able to do the right thing and bring him into line. I dont know him personally either but if i came on here and said that i had a friend who had been involved in all the things Darcy had been , im pretty sure most people would form an opinion that either he isnt a nice person or that he needs some serious guidance, Darcy is no different. I want to see him back on a bike but he needs to serve his time, i just hope he can get the right people around him, and if he rides for Poole maybe Holder can drag him to one side and sort him out. Middlo isnt in my opinion the right person to. nope but i can form an opinion on him from what ive seen of him and heard from him. good for Poole not so good for the sport

why is it anti poole to dislike Matt Ford? i dont know why you keep bring Wards name up? If you dont believe he has been a prat off the track then you are very strange in your beliefs. I have only slagged off Wards off track antics along with 99% of people on here! You admit Ford has pulled some stunts! So thats ok then is it? You admit Middlo has made regrettable comments? so you say im anti Poole yet in the same post admit that the Poole management team are not exactly shining examples of all that is good? So basically dont call me anti poole when you admit there are failings there yourself. I do have that opinion yes. and why does it not make it valid if its what i believe? If he gets an 8 month ban, same as Danno, i agree with that. What i dont agree with is that the ban is served in December, January and February , when really that isnt affecting him at all. If he lines up at the tapes in March for any club (not just Poole!!) then in my eyes he basically has mised August September and part of October so in all essence a 3 month ban. Im not in the camp that believes he should have a year and not be allowed to qualify for the grand prix, but yet somehow im a Ward hater!! oh and sidney go on the Poole thread and find my posts on Poole since they won the league. nothing in there thats anti poole but i guess you arent arsed to do that. Ive praised Ford for his team building but i dont like the man.

I shouldnt get so wound up but dealing with people like Sidney it gets tough lol If people bothered to read my posts on this 'Darcy Ward' thread i only resorted to complaining about Middlo due to what he wrote in the speedway star. Didnt mention Ford until Sidney brought it up. Also if you read through the thread properly you would have also seen many comments from me saying Ward should not be hung out to dry. I believed it should have been an 8 month ban , but served in European racing so 5 months left. Darcy has been an idiot but ive never gone overboard on the length of the ban. Somehow this gets missed because i dont like Ford and Middlo is a clown sometimes when he opens his mouth. Love how some people pick and choose what posts to use

Isnt this the Darcy Ward thread and Middlo has spoke about it in the speedway star? Im allowed to comment same as anyone else. I post on lots of threads and dont talk about Poole on them, but on Poole threads and Darcy Ward threads then quite obviously i will

lol nice joke post well done. I have good banter with numerous Poole fans on here and many times ive said they are on the whole decent people. Couple of idiots amongst them that drag peoples names down. im not talking about wether he is nice to his family or does charity work. The speedway persona of Matt Ford is one of quite a slimeball that will pull any underhand trick in the book to gain an advantage. On the plus side he is an astute businessman who does the best for Poole speedway and generally builds a good side. If he cut out the other crap he would be good for the sport

absolutly spot on. Davey was good but hasnt achieved anywhere near the level Harris has done. Maybe without injury he might of. Im an Ipswich fan and also a speedway fan im not deluded about my own riders. I listen to talksport and im sure Adrian Durham is on there to argue things to get more listeners and im thinking certain people on here are continually on the wind up with their comments......starman.........sidney

Im an Ipswich fan and Davey was a greta rider hampered by injury. he wasnt as good as Chris Harris has been though

wrong there his average went up 2 seasons ago. Forget what Lanham was he isn't a heat leader anymore but you would have a rider on 4.90 who could easily average 6.50 especially at reserve. Granted he isn't one to build for the future but I would be amazed if he didnt improve his starting average

2 standout riders fro me in Cook and Stead. One has tried the elite league and abroad and the world cup and the other is just happy where he is! I hope Danny does become top dog as an Ipswich fan, but i think he will be in the next line of riders like Barker.

He was flying at the start and at the end but in 4 gp's he scored 14 points when he had the injury. I think he stepped up last season and this could be his year and if he is around the 5/1 mark will be carrying my cash
