Cracking start to the season and for once we are going to be tough to beat at home. Could afford to carry Rohan tonight and Morten had problems but still a comfortable win. Cam looked sharper and can only get better. Gino was fantastic in his first ever meeting. Think we will always have 2 potent reserves wether Cam or Gino drop down. Don't forget this Rye side won at Peterborough carrying Garrity so very happy with the performance and result

i would hope ward follows the examples set by those who work hard like Tai and Nki. If ward channelled his natural ability properly then he should be champion within the next 3 years. At the moment his application can be questioned. I would have no problem with Ward being world champion

you obviously are still pretty cluless about what people write on here or as usual you just prefer to ignore. Darcy Ward does not have the attitude of a winner. Tai Woffinden and Niels Kristen Iversen have the attitudes of winners. What Ward has is sublime natural talent possibly with the exception of Lee and maybe Loram the best we have ever seen in that respect. If you think he has the right attitude you are the one talking crap not 90% of the posters on here who all realise his attitude is wrong. Being captain of Poole has nothing to do with wether he is liked thats just your paranoia. I have the upmost respect for Chris Holder as both man and rider, unfortunatly in Wards case most people, unless poole fans only, have respect for his riding ability. I would never refer to Ward as a vile piece of scum like oldace did as quite frankly thats pathetic but please stop trying to defend what he has done because there is no defence. Ward needs to realise what he has , which is talent by the bucketloads, and focus that talent and try to become world champion which he has the ability to be but not neccesarily the application.

i dont particularly dislike Ward although it blatantly obvious he has a few character flaws. what annoys most people is that he is so talented but to cocky with it. remember when asked if he would do what Tai did he flippantly brushed it aside. He may or may not have had the wake up call he needs to apply himself but until he does he will be a regular semi finalist without consistently going the extra mile. i would like to see a Ward apply himself with the right attitude and no daft over riding do well. the ignorant brat he portrays himself as would not be a welcome world champion for many.

i would be stunned if the winer doesnt come from Tai, Hampel , Iversen, Ward , Emil or Holder. think that Pedersen and Hancock wont be good enough. Can see Zagar moving on to a possible top 3 place. Think he came second 3 times last year so maybe at least a breakthrough gp win is due.

I would expect nothing less than for you to predict it will be between Ward and Holder. There are other speedway riders outside of Dorset. How in any way can you say Tai had the luck? He was so lucky that he borke his collerbone and then did it again just for good measure, wish i had that luck. He won the title fair and square end of discussion yet im sure in your deluded world you feel either Ward or Holder should have won it. In my opinion only one of Ward and Holder will make the top 3 as i think 2 out of Tai , Hampel and Iversen will be in the top 3 Wrong yet again. Tai averaged more than Ward did as already proved but you carry on thinking your own way. Yes Ward missed meetings but the meeting he crashed in he was zero from 2 rides so not likely to have scored much more. Imagine how much better Tai's advantage over Ward would have been if he hadnt have ridden in 3 grand prixs injured plus crashing out halfway through Cardiff. Will constantly making semis win him the title - No. Tai , Holder and Hampel will win more gps then Darcy this season

Jeez how can anyone defend what Ward has done in his private life! The guy has been an idiot and only the blinkered who can see no wrong in those who wear the pirates jacket think its ok. His private life and what he does on the track are separate as you simply can not doubt his ability. Unfortunately every now and then the petty little brat he has been rises to the surface. He needs to take a good look at what Holdet Tai and Iversen have done. He just expects the glory to come to him he needs to learn to work hard and focus them maybe he could be champion but I would bet my bottom doller Tai will finish ahead if him again
