which effectively doesnt really punish him does it. Speedway seasons in Europe are March - October. If you are banned for 6 months for an offence in Europe you should not be allowed to ride for 6 months , i.e last 3 months of last season and first 3 months of this. read my above point. banned from racing in Europe for 6 months. or banned for 9 months to take in the oz season. either way for what he has done to just miss 3 months of racing is farcical. Stefan Danno missed 8 months IN the european season

Ive read some rubbish but this takes the biscuit. So effectively you are saying the 3 months or so he missed is fine? He needs a ban from when the season is on not taking into account the winter months. If he gets a 6 month ban then by all means include the 3 he missed and then the first 3 of the season. Cant get my head around how people think he should be allowed to start the season. please stop spouting 'i want to see the best riders' its an argument that holds no substance at all. if it was a boring premier league rider would you advocate a ban? the rider, the ability, should make no difference at all to any punishment. Darcy Ward is great to watch and yes he will be missed, but to say he should be allowed to ride because he is entertaining is rubbish

what on earth are you on about??? your posts are just ridiculous. sommelier makes a point that the speedway world will be a bit boring without Ward. He is correct nobody is arguing that so god knows why you have to go on and in and on your are a tad tedious. From the riders i have watched: Loram Louis Galvin Schofield Havelock Silver Thorp Stonehewer Wilson Those mentioning Cook are having a laugh. Wouldnt make the top 20 of best ever premier league number ones. Look at the class of the riders ive listed and where the majority got to on the world stage. Cook isnt even close. And thats without mentioning the Owens, Lawson , Wilcock, Garrard, Cox, Les Collins, Kennett , Perks. Riders i didnt really see race as was only bout 5 or 6 when they were about. Cook is dominant in an era where the standard is lower than late 80's early 90's so he would not make my top 20

Dont be deluded man. Masters is not an out and out number one is he. Race him at number one in the team and how many times would he win heat 1? Not many is the answer. Got his average riding at the easier number 5 position. Granted he may be a slight improvement on Tungate but not an out and out top liner like King would be. Masters and Tungate are going to find it hard to get a ride over here in my opinion, unless Cook does what he should and leave Edinburgh will soon regret having Masters at 1

May look up to him as a rider as Darcy isnt as good as Greg yet. Certainly doesnt behave anything like Greg off the track and obviously doesnt go to him for advice. Your posts are great fro comedy i have to say

Charlie Webster is 100% right in her actions. Ched Evans is a CONVICTED rapist. The fact he is appealing is irrelevent. Should we let convicted murderers, rapists , peados go back and do there day job in society because they dont believe they are guilty and appealing?? Of course not. If Ched Evans appeals and is found not guilty by all means let him back. Im now waiting for a thread to be started about Jessica Ennis but i very much doubt it will happen. To me it just shows how shallow people are to be moaning about Charlie just because they dont like her presenting skills, and not actually looking at the whole picture. Used to love the Brighton Bonanza went every year. Some were great at it and others couldnt turn the bike. Remember Mark Loram there and just in awe of his throttle control. I remember the year a very jet lagged / hungover Kelly Moran was there. Managed to get my picture with the legend before the meeting which is still framed to this day. He came out in the pairs and was left miles behind in evey race, he then pulled out of the individual in the evening to get plastered in the bar!!

Matt Ford yet again showing himself to be a fool. I agree the ban needs to be set in place sooner rather than later. But to say ' in his defence he didnt ride' is just incredible. Darcy PLANNED to ride but he got caught, so according to Ford thats fine then. Darcy was prepared to put everyone at risk, but luckily he got caught. Matt Ford needs to learn to keep his mouth closed he just doesnt help himself.

cant see how its anti cook myself. Cook is happy to be a big fish in a small pond. thats his choice and if i was a Monarchs fan i would love him to ride for us every week. I do feel however that he has reached his level now though. Next year needs to be a big year for him or he will just be remembered as a good lower tier rider. I love the fact that some people say 'he has only been riding a few years and look where he is already' That has nothing to do at all with where his ability is. Its totally irrelevent how many years he has ridden as at some point his ability will stop. Wether that is now as a top premier rider, wether that is 2 years time as a GP regular , wether that is 5 years time as a world champion. Just because he hasnt benn riding as long as say Doyle doesnt mean he will eventually be better than him. My opinion is that in 2 years time he will still be a premier league number 1, a second / third heat leader at elite level, and nowhere near being a GP rider. Nothing Craig Cook has done this season leads me to believe he is still improving.

I think its quite obvious that Cook is happy to be a big fish in a little pond. I said his career has stalled and i stand by that. Doesnt cut it at international level qiute simply. I dont blame him for being a big fish in a little pond if thats the best way to earn your money. Sean Wilson was happy to do that and so to was Steve Lawson. Cant compare Cook to Stoney. Stoney was a much better rider on the world stage. As i say Cook i fell has gone as far as he can. Will always be a Premier number one and no more. Jason Doyle showed what could be done but then again Doyle is a better rider than Cook as proved on the World stage. All that said you cant blame the Monarchs fans for wanting him back

well averages dont lie Stead finished top and was picked ahead of Cook for the World team cup. As good as Cook is Stead was better this season. Both practically unbeatable at home

And that yet again proves why the premier is head and shoulders above the elite league. Wish sky would take more note and show more meetings. Starman is a Poole fan people they often go missing when they lose!

Cook is head and shoulders the top rider in the premier league but it seems he is happy in the premier and his career has stalled somewhat. For the record those of you saying he doesnt roll at the starts try not to be blinkered and admit he does it a lot. Why do some fans defend their own team to the hilt when the whole speedway world can see what he does. At Ipswich we have Rohan Tungate who regularly rolls at the start and it drives us all barmy. Obviously some Monarchs fans dont mind a bit of cheating now and then!

wasnt your top 2 that won you the league as they maintained their average not increased it. Sedgeman and Worrall going up by about 6 in total and then the improvemant from Fricke won you the league

well where to start after a shcoking display from the majority of our boys. The fact that Cook cheats time and again and gets away with it has no bearing on the score as even if he was chucked out of a few races we still wouldnt have got close. The decision to exclude Worrall in 13 was a joke as well. However awful the ref was had no bearing on the final score. Tungate - dont want him back on that average Heeps - keep him Risager - not bad 3rd heat leader but will stay as is 'family' Manzares - has to stay Worrall - would keep him Hawkins - keep Ellis - possibly I think we need a Danny King to spearhead us and possibly can see Lanham back maybe at reserve on a low average

Fingers crossed this goes ahead im coming up tonight. Can see us nicking this by 10
