  1. why another swede then? its politics that's all. Kildemand is a far better rider than THJ but unfortunately he is the wrong nationality, its a bit of a joke
  2. Absolutly correct. Thers should be some sort of system where the riders from say 9-12 go into the challenge. I know now that they can still go through the qualifiers but i think the fact that because Freddie Lindgren is world number 10 shouldnt just exclude him straightaway. If you have done enough to be in the top 12 in the world then why should you still have to do lots of meeetings on top of the gp to qualify for the next season. Personally i would have the challenge after the last gp and i would include Batchelor, Lindgren, Smolinski and Bjerre in the challenge and see them fight for a place. If people are good enough to be in ahead of them then they will prove their worth in the challenge
  3. These good tracks bad track debates are a tad tedious. You will get good racing at any track if prepared properly and the teams are even simple really. People rave on about Peterborough but ive been there tonnes of times when the home side are so much better than the away team its all from the gate. Somerset has more racing lines than my club Ipswich but we got thrashed there in a boring meeting. people get delude by fast racing means good racing - it doesnt. nothing was better than watching Loram hunt people down at Lakeside and pass with great throttle control, something Darcy has emulated there when ive seen him. Give me that skill rather than just flat out
  4. Why? Do you think riders will read this forum and then not bother because people are saying they might not be here next year? If they take on board what the fans on here think then they are a tad weak skinned. Different story if one of the management start making noises but fans on here shouldnt affect any rider in the cup final
  5. If we dont keep Worrall , Gino , Heeps and Hawkins we must be crazy. I also think Risager will stay due to the family connection. Tungates time is up and i reckon he will end up elite league next year. We need another big hitter up top. I would like to see Olly Allen though cant imagine it will happen and yes King is more likely. 2 newbies at reserve in my eyes. Who does Sarjeant ride for?
  6. stop talking rubbish. Iversen and Kildemand will be in. I'm guessing THJ over Lindgren leaves one other. If not Ward then who? Batchelor finished just outside the top 8 so surely is one if the obvious choices to get one!
  7. Now the top 8 is done and dusted I'm going for the following wild cards. Iversen, Kildemand, Batchelor, Jonasson. In my mind the first 2 are certainties. Think we will have another Aussie as the gp is going there next year. Shouldn't be Ward so Batchelor might get in. They will probably want 2 Swedes and although Lindgren has proved up to the level I reckon they will give Jonasson a go.
  8. wasnt exactly far out on my prediction. Not a track that suits our boys
  9. Im with Super blue i think we will be lucky to get anywhere near 40. gon on lads will be happy to eat humble pie
  10. being honest they wont . Worrall, Tungate, Risager all what i would class white line riders. Gino, Heeps and Hawkins will try but still cant see anything but a thumping 55-35
  11. One of our worst tracks so my heart says we can do it but my head says we will get thrashed
  12. WOFFINDEN ZAGAR JONSSON MIEDZINSKI 30 pts Jonsson top 8
  13. the top 4 you quoted are better but your top 3 either don't want to ride or should be banned. Your talking out if your arse regarding the other 3
  14. Yes he was but both in Denmark! In the first 4 gp's Lindgren made 2 finals and a semi. Im not saying Kildemand shouldnt be in but only because it will be a fresh change. My ideal 15 (wildcard every round) would be Hancock Woffinden Kasprzak N.Pedersen Holder Zagar Hampel Jonsson Ward Sayfutdinov Iversen Lindgren G.Laguta Kildemand Janowski That in my eyes are the top 15 riders in the world but we will never see a line up like that unfortunatly Emil and Laguta wont ride and Ward should be banned
  15. And just looking at the results Freddie has made 6 semi finals out of 11 gp's and 2 finals. That to me is a rider who although not a title challenger is able to hold his own and compete at this level. I dont think a Kildemand or a Jonasson would fair any better
  16. sorry is this the AJ who has just won a gp? is this the Lindgren who is among the top 12 in the world every year? They are not awful riders they are world class just probably not up to being in the top 3 . Whatever line up you have you will have riders who will make almost all the semis as a rule like your Tai's Gregs Iversens You will then have those that make more semis then not like Hampel AJ Lindgren Holder Then you those that will miss more than they make like Smolinski Btachelor and Harris This will never change irrelevent of the line up. There is almost 3 tiers of riders and AJ and Lindgren in my view will always be somehere from 7-12 in the series. I agree sometimes new blood is fine but i want the best riders possible and if you can honestly say that Jonasson or Kildemand will do better than AJ and Lindgren then i disagree. Jonasson and Kildemand will be better than the Smolinski's and Harris. If you want no AJ or Freddie its only because of new blood not because they arent good enough
  17. Well if you believe that is sufficient then that is just crazy
  18. Ward shouldnt be allowed in. Laguta doesnt want to be in Kildemand should be picked ahead of MJJ Iversen, Kildemand, either Lindgren or Jonsson, either Batchelor or Holder
  19. sorry do you understand English or can't read! This has nothing to do with opinion! The FACT is he qualified on merit it's not up for an opinion! As I say I think he will struggle next year that is called an OPINION. You can tell me I'm wrong bout an opinion not a fact
  20. and what does that have to do with anything? All these people putting up names of riders who should be in and not Harris are all wrong. Granted there is no way Harris would have got a wildcard and in my view shouldnt have had one in the last few seasons. But he qualified on merit so why dont people just shut the ....up! There is a qualifiaction that all riders (Kildemand, MJJ and the rest) had every chance to qualify and they FAILED!!! I believe Harris will be outclassed again next season but dont mock the man for qualifying. Im sure some people on here want 16 picks rather than any sort of system to qualify
  21. only people with no speedway knowledge would say Tai was helped by Holder. If you still think that then watch Holder on turn 1
  22. you will never get the top 16 in the world unless you choose them. Most people would agree on the top 10 but opinions will be divided on the others. I agree that Kildemand MJJ and some others are better riders than Harris but they had the same opportunity as he did and didn't take it. So unless we seed the top 10 and pick the rest you will always get a few riders who get through that you don't expect. It's still fairer than the one offs when you had 5 riders from the eastern block who had mainly no chance. Adorjan, Tihayni, Kocso just a few I remember
  23. yep my mistake didnt write it correctly. if batch drops out Ward could be in. If Holder drops out and Ward gets his place then that would be the biggest joke the sport has seen
  24. Two wildcards are pretty much guaranteed which is NKI and Hampel A lot will depend on who gets in the top 8. If Batch or Holder fall out then Ward will get one. If no Swedes make the top 8 then it will be Jonsson or Jonasson that get a place. My own opinion is NKI, Hampel , Kildemand, Jonsson Ward needs a year out of it all in my opinion....................oh but hang on he puts bums on seats lol
  25. Im sure people either must be thick or trolling on here sometimes. Chris Harris has been fortunate to be in the grand prix the last few years .......Fact Chris Haris this year has been a disaster in the grand prix..............FACT Next season he will struggle again.....................i think Fact but its opinion lol. But the biggest Fact that some idiots cant get is THIS YEAR HE HAS QUALIFIED ON MERIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was reserve for the challenge someone wasnt riding he gets in the meeting. THAT IS HOW RESERVE SYSTEM WORKS!!! In the challenge he ties on points with the ONLY OTHER RIDER in the grand prix already. Does that not tell you the best are already in the gp's The other rider Doyle (and huge congrats to him by the way) was only beaten by the 2 gp boys. people saying we need Kildemand and Pawlicki well they were in the meeting and didnt do what Harris did. I remember in 1998 grand Prix challenge Henka and Smith qualified and Loram didnt. Its what happens. By all means say that Harris isnt up to it and may struggle but to say he didnt deserve to qualify is either thick, ignorant or trolling
