  1. Not a bad meeting considering the conditions. Spoke with Richie afterwards who said he had the set up completely wrong in the first 2. Gino is just a star this season along with Morten. Cam really struggled tonight didn't seem to know what lines to ride. Rohan got better and almost snatched the win in the last. The reserves were poor tonight beating out of the gate far to easily. Final thing tonight was the first time I've seen Cook ride and I've never witnessed such a miserable arrogant rider. In heat 13 Tungate and Worrall rode brilliantly to keep him behind. As the race finishes he gets to the first bend turns round and rides back no shake of the hands. In heat 15 Worrall leads him tapes to flag again no handshake or acknowledgement. I go to the pits he comes in after the race his team mates pay him on the back he ignores them and starts taking off his kevlars. As it was a draw both teams go on the truck. He moaned like a petulant child before getting on the truck and sitting there sulking not talking to anyone, comes back gets off the truck and goes to showers. The guy is the best rider in the premier but his attitude stinks. If you think you shouldn't be beat in the premier Craig then go and just ride elite league. After all that well done monarchs solid side and good to see Steve Worrall riding so well again
  2. Just got to stadium still raining very overcast . Can't see it making 15 heats
  3. i remember when we went with Mark Loram to Bradford in 1994 and back then you were only allowed to ride lay downs in F.I.M meetings. Mark said he had never ridden anything like it round Odsal
  4. The 1989 World final was very low on quality in my opinion. The 1992 wasnt much better.
  5. Well done boys great away performance with everyone chipping in. If anything our 2 star riders this season (Gino and Morten) struggled but the others came good. Nice to see both Rohan and Cam doing what they are capable of.
  6. Have to agree with you looks a fascinating series. In my eyes Holder and Hampel look like they are lacking something this year. Ward will consistently score around 10 but will that be good enough? His inability to gate will stop him from being world champion in my view. Think he will struggle like crazy at Prague and Cardiff. Nicki will be inconsistent i feel. I can see the champ being KK or Tai. With Greg there or thereabouts. KK as misssed a gp and still leads. He is bound to go well at Prague and has a great record at Cardiff. Tai as well has tracks coming up to suit him and he did look the fastest rider on Saturday.
  7. Poor poor meeting only helped by my £5 ew on Zagar and £5 ew on Lindgren. Darcy summed himself up.....you need to gate! cant win world titles Darcy by being third or last every time you get to the first corner on whatever track
  8. well the expected result in the end but disappointing after the promise early on. Richie and Gino did there jobs and more. Cam is now starting to get his act together and confidence back which is a good thing. Risager continues to be inconsistent away from home home. The reserves were woeful really and needed to chip in with a lot more points. The main issue with us is Rohan. Just isnt producing the goods at the moment. Looked immense in Risagers testimonial and you thought he would be in for a good season. Then again last year he dominated the star of anglia so maybe its the individuals that get him going. He isnt doing great at home and is worse away. Would Rosen be a better bet?
  9. we are not good enough to win at Edinburgh.......................nobody is
  10. Lol Lewis Blackbird as good as he is, is not premier league heat leader quality. bye for now
  11. WARD WOFFINDEN IVERSEN KYLMAKORPI BONUS: LINDGREN TO MAKE FINAL
  12. yeah it was the injury that stopped Darcy winnin! Jeez man get a grip! Injury didn't stop him at all he was beaten fair and square by a better rider on the night. I still think Ward can be top 3 this season as long as he rides sensibly. A few times last night he looked close to coming off. Why the dig at Tai? He has got fight! Rember his injuries last year yet still won the title? The whole speedway community knows something is wrong yet you can't help yourself having a dig. Hampel is a great rider he can mix it but yes does most of his winning from the gate just like Hancock yet Greg still completely out rode Darcy to re overtake him.
  13. totally agree 100% trouble is he is SO good at coming from the back he lacks a bit of tactical nous to stay there but as you say he can only learn
  14. what a brilliant meeting to watch and the best rider on the night wins which is always good to see. what is it with Ward. rides out of his boots to hit the front in 2 races then seems to not know how to defend it. let Hancock go round him then KK get back to him in the final. Guess he will learn with experiance
  15. Well done boys and good to see Cam firing again. Never seen Auty go well at our place and yet again ahocking
  16. thick as s**t and just for good measure Auty isnt riding in the semi he is at rye on the 30th and usually Auty is crap at Foxhall
  17. if you never have anything positive to say about your club don't bother posting.
  18. We quite clearly have 2 under performing riders in Heeps and Tungate. Risager has been hit and miss but the other 4 have done well. I'm sure plenty of peaks and troughs don't get to down hearted yet its a marathon not a sprint. Cam will soon be at reserve and may need that confidence booster
