Lakeside V Kings Lynn 19.06.15
Falcon Hammer replied to tellboy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Don't think many Lakeside fans dislike Lambert, he got the biggest round of applause, out of the Lynn riders, when introduced on the parade Thought his move on Bech was a bit strong, dive bombing underneath him into T1. Seemed like he was frustrated at being held up & just went for it, but hey-ho he pulled it off Great racing last night & Lynn were unlucky not to at least get a point. Just relieved we managed to get a win at last. Allelujah -
Usually I leave about 3.00 to do the reverse journey, get there early, but don't need to rush & stress free. Would recommend M40 as queuing onto and on M1, with roadworks J19-15

Birmingham V Coventry Storm 17th June
Falcon Hammer replied to guitar_art's topic in National League Speedway
BIRMINGHAM supporters will get the chance to have their photo taken with the National League Fours trophy and the winning quartet on Wednesday (June 17). "Prior to the Coventry meeting, we will have Adam Ellis, Tom Perry, Zach Wajtknecht and Sam Chapman fully kitted out and fans will be available to join them for a photograph with the trophy. "So we urge supporters to get there as early as they possibly can and bring their cameras and phones with them to capture their special moment. Get there early - Great idea by the Brummie promotion -
@RyeHouseRaiders: Adam Ellis will be replacing the injured Rob Branford in tonights NT clash against Kent Kings at Central Park.

Robert Lambert - What A Talent
Falcon Hammer replied to SCB's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Reckon wild cards are there for previous final winners, who were unable to take part in the semis due to injury - seems fair enough -
Kim Nilsson was in the pits in the clip just before the hand-over; seems to have vanished, just before the fight started! Favourite part is when we first see the villain walking under the stand & one of the extras gives the lamest fist pump ever

Don't know what's the big deal - that's always happening at Arena

Jack Smith looks really promising, can gate, good racer & not afraid to mix it. Just what's needed to kick-start the season Don't know how he got excluded from Ht.6 after a massive nudge from Perks!

Rye House V Kent 6th June
Falcon Hammer replied to Dave Stummings's topic in National League Speedway
Good meeting last night, although rather dusty early doors. Very impressed with Alfie & Danyon, who have come on leaps & bounds. Good to see Kyle back to his best, great ht.12 4th to 2nd, took his time & picked them off with ease. Disappointed with Kent's long tail, unfortunately they don't seem to be making the same progress. Perhaps a few more practice days would help them -
Somerset V Rye House 5/6/2015
Falcon Hammer replied to rustyre bel1's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Heat 13 has got to be one of the best races I've ever seen. Passing inside/outside every lap, could've thrown a blanket over all four riders. Lap2 BS 5-1 to House; lap3 BS 5-1 to the Rebels. With all the doom & gloom surrounding speedway, it's moments like this that make you realise it is still the best sport out there Heat 14 was also fantastic, just overshadowed by a gem -
No moaning on the Berwick thread for over a day! Has peace broken out, or has Nicola Sturgeon organised an invasion of the borders?

John Cook Talks A Lot Of Sense
Falcon Hammer replied to oldtimer's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
No meeting for the last couple of weeks due to the SGP. Definitely needed a meeting last night, else massive gap in fixtures Impossible to predict who's going to be in the U-21's, turned out Nielsen & Fricke were selected! Stead in original declaration would've been present Only Cook was originally going to miss this meeting -

Pair of shades & a white stick should do the trick Gemini -
Good point made by Jon Cook at the Fans Forum last night: Draft riders should have their averages taken into account for 1-5 team building, with the points limit varying accordingly. Really good idea considering some riders are protected

Poor Anders, 2 terrible injuries recently, and has been riding cautiously this year (quite rightly too). Wish him a speedy recovery Got the info from Lakeside Fans Forum last night -

Some of the best MotoGP riders have suffered with arm-pump; Danny Pedrosa has just returned after an operation & Casey Stoner had it recently - Definitely nothing to do with fitness, although all are small in stature.
