  1. Didn't Oxford go whole season unbeaten? What about Coventry 02.?
  2. Disgraceful, no Windon rider scored a max. Lowering averages I bet. 14 wins in a row, well done guys.
  3. What ever? Even better than the old Wembley, Wimbledon, Belle Vue, Cradley, Oxford, Coventry, Ipswich, Reading, Poole etc., teams.
  4. Swindon to edge out the Wolves in final.
  5. Average is around 1500, have crowds varying from 1000 to 2500, and 3000 the other night. One of the sponsors was telling me there are around 400 season ticket holders, guests, sponsors, volunteers, etc., that aren't included in the figures. Swindon The Man U of Speedway, if they get that new stadium will be massive crowds, battling to get in.
  6. Swindon speedway club have rarely cared about the fans views, pity as they're a fantastic bunch of supporters, just taken for granted like most clubs. The ice hockey club are totally the opposite.
  7. Earlier on in season when Robins were second from bottom crowds were down, now top crowds have increased. Over last 10 years they've lost hundreds of fans, like most clubs, probably due to weakening line-ups, doubling up, and some fans are only interested in GP speedway.
  8. Speedway is in a state of flux, and flux knows what's gonna happen!
  9. After riding so well at Blunsdon on Monday and being the last team to beat Swindon home and away in May, the farce last night has ended their season. The loss of Holder and Batch too much, have to feel for the Norfolk fans.
  10. Might not be anyone there tonight, its raining. These fixtures really have to be sorted out for next season, its a bleedin farce.
  11. Think i'll give it a miss tonight with double header Monday, and Wolves Thursday. Good luck Robins.
  12. Perhaps Rebs and Lions will use the same 7 riders on Monday. Triple header, great, make a day of it, start at 2.30, 30 quid to get in, meet the riders, live music, free air horns, Adver, and prog, and as tric trac said free chips and curry sauce, I wonder if he/she has tried them?! I just hope the weather is ok.
  13. Don't think many will be enticed by free programme.
  14. Will be a bit of a mare if it is rained off. Although on a positive note the Robins were pretty naff earlier on pre-Musielak, crowds were down on now. Last night good to see Terry Broadbank, probably a relative of Mike, donate his prize draw money of 156 quid to the luck less BWD
  15. Then they will be kicking themselves for having 7 out of 8 Thursdays blank in the dry spell earlier on in the season.
  16. No the next meeting is on Thursday v. Zummerrzet, 17 quid includes prog, and with the Rebs back on Monday for the double header with Leicester for 25 quid, they will do well to get 1500 Thursday about half that were there last night. But it gave people the chance to watch the High flying birds live, when many can't afford the extra cash. So well done to the club. Great racing this season never known so many unpredictable results and away wins. Still 7 clubs chasing a playoff place.
  17. Was a Swindon reserve 5 years ago, shows anyone can reach the top with desire, drive and determination. Came out on crutches last night, but still whoops everyone's ass. Different gravy and the Swindon Red Army love him.
  18. With a big hitter like Bratch or Noddy hitting double Lynn could have pulled off another win at Blunsdon. One of the best sides seen this season but unfortunately unlikely now to get into the play-offs. Refs recalling too many starts, and can do without Jase doing wheelies and slowing down. Good to hear the Blunsdon Roar, 13 in a row! GO ROBINS!!!
  19. Biggest crowd at The Abbey for years around 3000, wasn't great weather, car park closed full, great atmosphere, Lynn did well to stop Swindon hitting 50. Doyley different class, saying afterwards a couple of the opposition rode with "all gas no brains". Bellego won rider of night. Robins reserves outscored, BWD more engine problems.
  20. A few newbies and fans that havent been for a while going after I mentioned the fiver offer, no mention of it in Adver though, thought club may have publicised it more. Should be big crowd for the record-breaking league leaders.
