I do just as well in my business with a lot less stress and time. Why would I want to have all that stress Matt Ford is put through for longer hours and less financial reward?

So some on here think the value of a profitable business is the price of some shale and an old tractor. If some on here can’t see the worth they had better stick to their day jobs of 9-5! Gate money alone is over half a million a year. Plus sponsorship etc. Not worth more than a couple of thousand to buy the club? Some on here are totally and utterly clueless.

How can anyone cannot see the benefit of the playoffs? They are brilliant. They extend the season, making a very tense and exciting end to each season. Kings Lynns loss in the final was partially self inflicted. Iversen riding in a meeting of no importance whatsoever (he could have given his support walking amongst the crowd signing autographs and doing selfies) and the Kings Lynn management trying to get one over Poole by choosing the same guest. The loss of Palm-Toft was just a racing incident and could quite easily have happened to a Poole rider. The final this year might not have been exciting to people not involved, but it certainly was for the fans of the club. Poole’s backs to the wall defence at Kings Lynn was superb riding and man management from Middlo. Long may the playoffs reign.

Rubbish. Kings Lynn played a couple of late double headers against teams that were no longer in the running and just went through the motions. 12 easy points. Suddenly Lynn fans thought they were invincible, especially after beating an injury ravaged Belle Vue in the semi finals. Once Poole brought Harris in we were clearly the best team in the league. And it showed when it mattered. Just accept you were the next best team. No shame in that.

Kings Lynn had plenty of luck in the second leg. If the same things had gone Poole’s way there would be dozens of pages about it. But none of it is mentioned because it doesn’t fit the agenda. Jorgensen going over the white line. Rollers for both KL riders in heat 12. Unsatisfactory start when Jorgensen rode into Morris....

Jesus you are making some libellous accusations. Why on earth would Adam Ellis ride poorly on purpose against Poole? He looked like he was trying and most certainly wouldn’t had wanted to let the team he was riding for down. Remember, it is difficult for a guest to ride in a meeting like this when riders attached to both clubs are riding at 120% of their capabilities. Your are coming over as a very bad loser. Accept that Poole were just the better team and the Kings Lynn ridrs all tried their hearts out but came up short. Totally and utterly..........

Record books show Poole as champions. Record books didn’t show Poole as champs in 2010. We finished 20 points clear. You will have to suck it up. We were runners up in 2010 as Kings Lynn were this year.
-
No team were “great” compared to previous season but Poole were clearly the “greatest” of 2018. That sound better?
-
Agree totally. Poole were the best team this year with Kings Lynn the second best team. Allitt is making himself look a fool with that statement. Poole won the league, Kings Lynn might win the ko cup.

A very good 5 minutes with Tai Woffinden on bbc breakfast this morning.

When Swindon Town were originally promoted to the 1st division, Ellis and others on his lynch mob FA committee blocked Town from taking their place in the top flight, instead relegating us to the third tier which was overturned on appeal. Never liked the bloke.

DC2 did. Where has he gone? And where is Gavan? All his worst nightmares have come home to roost this week. I should imagine he is gutted. But his silence is probably because he is banned yet again for slagging off all Poole fans the other day. Couldn’t help himself. I am nit one to report other posters but on this occassion I most certainly have. And I suggest every other forum member does the same unless they condone it. Whilst it can get a little heated on here from time to time there is just no need for such sick comments.

So what would the point of the playoff final be, if you did that in 2010 Poole would have started with +24 over Coventry. The rules are fine. Table toppers get the pick plus the second leg of the final. To give a trophy for finishing top would diminish the playoffs, meaning it becomes the side show. That in turn would reduce crowds. The playoffs have worked brilliantly since 2002. Why change? Imagine if there were no playoffs and one team romped away by the end of June? The whole season would be dead in the water for the other teams.
