  1. Jesus you are making some libellous accusations. Why on earth would Adam Ellis ride poorly on purpose against Poole? He looked like he was trying and most certainly wouldn’t had wanted to let the team he was riding for down. Remember, it is difficult for a guest to ride in a meeting like this when riders attached to both clubs are riding at 120% of their capabilities. Your are coming over as a very bad loser. Accept that Poole were just the better team and the Kings Lynn ridrs all tried their hearts out but came up short. Totally and utterly..........
  2. Record books show Poole as champions. Record books didn’t show Poole as champs in 2010. We finished 20 points clear. You will have to suck it up. We were runners up in 2010 as Kings Lynn were this year.
  3. No team were “great” compared to previous season but Poole were clearly the “greatest” of 2018. That sound better?
  4. Agree totally. Poole were the best team this year with Kings Lynn the second best team. Allitt is making himself look a fool with that statement. Poole won the league, Kings Lynn might win the ko cup.
  5. I would have normally have agreed with that until this year. He has passed quote a few riders at Poole and certainly made passes in the semi at Somerset. His gating is outstanding though and the reason why his passing is not noticed. Rider of the year for me.
  6. A very good 5 minutes with Tai Woffinden on bbc breakfast this morning.
  7. When Swindon Town were originally promoted to the 1st division, Ellis and others on his lynch mob FA committee blocked Town from taking their place in the top flight, instead relegating us to the third tier which was overturned on appeal. Never liked the bloke.
  8. DC2 did. Where has he gone? And where is Gavan? All his worst nightmares have come home to roost this week. I should imagine he is gutted. But his silence is probably because he is banned yet again for slagging off all Poole fans the other day. Couldn’t help himself. I am nit one to report other posters but on this occassion I most certainly have. And I suggest every other forum member does the same unless they condone it. Whilst it can get a little heated on here from time to time there is just no need for such sick comments.
  9. I would think I would speak for the majoity of fans from every club when I say your post is an absolute disgrace. Do other Belle Vue fans actually agree with him?
  10. So what would the point of the playoff final be, if you did that in 2010 Poole would have started with +24 over Coventry. The rules are fine. Table toppers get the pick plus the second leg of the final. To give a trophy for finishing top would diminish the playoffs, meaning it becomes the side show. That in turn would reduce crowds. The playoffs have worked brilliantly since 2002. Why change? Imagine if there were no playoffs and one team romped away by the end of June? The whole season would be dead in the water for the other teams.
  11. Hearing rumours he has already done a deal for 2019, rules allowing.
  12. I agree the crowd at Poole was not quite as big as previous years, and the probable reason is that it was the first leg. The crowd last night at Kings Lynn was very big indeed. The biggest crowd at Lynn for league racing in years I was told by Lynn fans standing around us. I love the playoffs. So much better than just a straight forward league formatt. We have had joy and heartbreak in those playoffs but the sport as a whole benefits and they are not going to go away.
  13. He didn’t “poop himself” He was fairly ridden wide by Riss and lost control. A world of difference than be tailed off then just slide off to get a rerun. That was the reason the rule was brought in. Kasper hit the fence fairly hard and I doubt any rider would have got up and cleared the track in about 10 seconds. Ref abused the rule.
  14. And what about the long list of ref calls that favoured Lynn last night?
  15. Poole were the best team in the second half of the season. They were the better team in the final. Kings Lynn were unlucky with no Iversen but blame him for riding in a testimonial the night before a league final. Silly.
  16. No! Think what I do for a living is far less stressfull and less responsibility. And probably just as profitable. Money to be made there for the new owner, who needs to be fully knowledgeable in speedway.
  17. Yes I correct that in my post but wasn’t quick enough! just watching it now and when Woryna fell there was no way he did it on purpose or could have got up from that. The ref was completely wrong. The rules is there for a team on a 5-1 and one of the riders at the back lays it down to get a rerun. That wasn’t the situation last night. No wonder Nicolai was aggrieved. Ref massively favouring Kings Lynn in every decision.
  18. What a very sad loser. If Kings Lynn had come back and won it last night I doubt you would have found a single Poole fan who wouldn’t have congratulated the stars. You posts shows you up to be a very poor loser.
  19. Well first of all, what a fabulous victory! Wooohooooo! Arrived into the stadium early last night to watch Buster dump tons of shale on the track. He forgot the potatoes though! Very big crowd last night. But throughout the night the Pirates kept them relatively quiet. Most of the noise coming from the couple of hundred Poole fans who made the long trip up from Dorset. Really though, Why didn’t the ref exclude Jorgensen in heat 3? Both wheels clearly over the white line. Then later he stuck Nicolai off 15 metres. Did he actually think Woryna laid it down on purpose to get a rerun? Ref failed Poole three times to give Kings Lynn advantage. Shocking. In heat 9 Jorgensen ploughs into Morris. Clearly an unsatisfactory start but the ref let it go. If those calls had been the other way around this forum would have gone into meltdown. Middlo, who has clearly been the best manager in the league for a long, long time, again showed why with a cool head and motivating his team. Well done Niel. Commiserations to Kings Lynn. We know what it’s like to finish top and lose out. But those first 5 heats at Wimborne Road sealed your fate. A team can’t turn up at their most important meeting of the season and not be prepared or in the correct mind frame. They were simply blown away, just like Belle Vue were when Poole went there in 2015. The final starts in heat one first leg. As I predicted before the meeting started the track was set up grippy meaning very little in the way of passing. Not a meeting for the neutral or Poole hater to enjoy. Winning the playoff final is far more important than the racing spectacle. There’s just too much at stake.
  20. Heard the club is up for sale with offers over £500,000. You get more than a couple of tractors and some shale. A new owner should be making a profit within a couple/three seasons. Many sponsors with the main sponsor paying around £100,000 a year.
