  1. No, and whose fault is that? Allit! Poole had Ellis booked for Kings Lynn. There’s a word for what happened. KARMA.
  2. Kings Lynns choice of guest goes down to Dale Allit and perhaps his lack of experience is showing through. Last week he caused mayhem booking Ellis after Poole had already booked him, and now he has gone with a rider who is unlikely to beat either of Somersets reserves. Perhaps he should fall on his sword and Chapman bring in someone with more experience?
  3. The AGM should have already taken place. November is far too late. Mid July would be far better as teams can then plan in advance and riders/fans will know what the ream is/rules are well in advance. If any issues come up they can ve sorted well before the season starts. With BT Sports very happy with speedway as a product the BSPA need to get some money for their product. £13,000 a year per club is an insult.
  4. And remember, all the 5% moans are completely self inflicted. No point moaning about it when Poole had Ellis booked for the second leg. It all comes down to Allit booking Ellis for the first leg that caused the mess. Hopefully the rules should have been changed to allow 5% home and away.
  5. The announcer at Kings Lynn said that Morris was able to ride as the 5% extra for home meetings had been extended to away fixtures as well.
  6. Ronnie Russel said when interviewed on BT that he was marking the new track out, which would have been done over a month ago. Has this happened?
  7. Really, you should stop chomping on the sour grapes and congratulate Poole for becoming champs. You were beaten by the better team over the two legs. You were blown away at Poole before Palm Toft even got injured.
  8. I wouldn’t lump down £500,000 in one lump sum. Or even £250,000. My business works differently but is rewarding without tying up such large sums in one go. I am not going to bore everyone talking about my business though.
  9. I didn’t say 500,000 was too much. I said My business does well without the hassle going with promoting a speedway club, which would take up virtually every waking hour if it was to be run as a full time business. Not the way I would want to work. Twenty years ago maybe.
  10. I would welcome him back no problem. He’s still improving and thought he looked very professional last week.
  11. Iversen has returned to the track this afternoon in the Diamond Cup final in Poland.
  12. Most Poole fans would have been happy for Adam to have returned to Poole the following season.
  13. I am wealthy enough Keith, but it’s not worth the stress in my life. Just look at the crap thrown at Matt Ford. Would anyone want all that abuse? No thanks. My business is doing very well with no hassles, no worrying, no fans to please.
  14. I do just as well in my business with a lot less stress and time. Why would I want to have all that stress Matt Ford is put through for longer hours and less financial reward?
  15. So some on here think the value of a profitable business is the price of some shale and an old tractor. If some on here can’t see the worth they had better stick to their day jobs of 9-5! Gate money alone is over half a million a year. Plus sponsorship etc. Not worth more than a couple of thousand to buy the club? Some on here are totally and utterly clueless.
  16. A heat leader? He is a CL reserve, nothing more. Did you see him ride on Monday?
  17. Nothing to do with me. G13webbs rantings caused the subject to get off topic. Best of luck to either team. Looking forward to beating whoever wins at the start of next season.
  18. A dodgy decision when the playoffs were upon you and it would be what all riders strive for.
  19. How can anyone cannot see the benefit of the playoffs? They are brilliant. They extend the season, making a very tense and exciting end to each season. Kings Lynns loss in the final was partially self inflicted. Iversen riding in a meeting of no importance whatsoever (he could have given his support walking amongst the crowd signing autographs and doing selfies) and the Kings Lynn management trying to get one over Poole by choosing the same guest. The loss of Palm-Toft was just a racing incident and could quite easily have happened to a Poole rider. The final this year might not have been exciting to people not involved, but it certainly was for the fans of the club. Poole’s backs to the wall defence at Kings Lynn was superb riding and man management from Middlo. Long may the playoffs reign.
  20. Rubbish. Kings Lynn played a couple of late double headers against teams that were no longer in the running and just went through the motions. 12 easy points. Suddenly Lynn fans thought they were invincible, especially after beating an injury ravaged Belle Vue in the semi finals. Once Poole brought Harris in we were clearly the best team in the league. And it showed when it mattered. Just accept you were the next best team. No shame in that.
  21. Agree. Kings Lynn caused mayhem ore the first leg by going for a rider already booked by the other team. Poole backed down and allowed Kings Lynn to use Ellis in both legs for the good of the sport. What happened was simply karma.
  22. Kings Lynn had plenty of luck in the second leg. If the same things had gone Poole’s way there would be dozens of pages about it. But none of it is mentioned because it doesn’t fit the agenda. Jorgensen going over the white line. Rollers for both KL riders in heat 12. Unsatisfactory start when Jorgensen rode into Morris....
