Well Rich you made the right choice supporting the Pirates. What other choice could you make?

Poole won there last season. Wasn’t good racing. Tension from the score nothing more. -

Not true. There was some excellent tussles at Poole including Harris blasting through, Klindt blasting through on Summers. Proper passing, not this hug the white line crap we had to suffer last night. -

So Somerset have now freely admitted that they purposely took away the outside line to stop Poole. So basically sod all the fans who turned up hoping for an entertaining meeting in front of the cameras and the tens of thousands watching at home. And people on here say Poole have the win at all costs mentality. As I said last night, on my 15+ visits to Somerset, I never get to see a good meeting. Nothing to do with the result, just the racing. When Poole won to get into the playoffs last year the racing wasn’t great. Last weeks meeting at Poole was just so much better racing. All we got last night was the Somerset riders heading straight for the kerb, all the way around. Nothing out off the curb, unless you want to lose ground. The Somerset riders knew this, clearly told the track had been doctored and where to ride before the meeting started. A shame the fans who attended were conned out of good money but Somerset clearly desperate after losing to Belle Vue. -

Then clearly the Somerset promotion set the track up to stop the Pirates racers from having any chance tonight. No outside passing at all. Always hear how good it is but the numerous meetings have never been spectacular. -

Unbelievable how poor Swindon are away from home. Probably means they will now win at our place! -

Harris likes to race. The track didn’t allow much in the way of racing and Harris’s blasts around the outside sent him backwards. -

Very true. Yet again another trip to Somerset and yet again a not very good meeting. But before anyone thinks it’s sour grapes, well done to Somerset on a relatively easy win over a lacklustre pirates. Only one good race with Harris battling with Holder, the rest was very average fodder with hardly any outside passing. The home team took advantage of knowing the only passing line was right around the inside and the Poole guys just didn’t twig this until it was too late. Get up the inside and you are made. No matter how hard you try to blast around the outside, you will just go backwards. Doyle was untouchable tonight and a class above, backed up by Holder. Pirates just don’t have that kind of firepower and Kurtz had another mare. In fact none of the Pirates heat leaders covered themselves in glory. Very poor. Best Poole riders were Klindt who battled all night, and Woryna, another who gave his all. Special mention to Freddie Jakobsen on his first ever visit and battled well. A poor Pirates performance and a 12 point defeat. Not good enough in a playoff meeting. Looks like it’s going to be Somersets to lose and in all honesty would take a major choke for them not to end up as champions. -

Never known a thread so quiet considering the meeting is tonight. Seems fans on both sides are worried about saying anything in case it comes back to bite them! Some drizzle/mizzle about this morning but I can’t see it being called off. Both teams at full strength. Somerset will be right up for this after last weeks defeat and will come out with all guns blazing. Poole are notoriously slow starters away and need to compete from the start rather than heat 5. I expect Somerset to have enough in the bag for a win and a point for Poole will be an acheivement. Heats 13 and 15 could give an 8 point swing to Somerset so we need all 7 riders scoring tonight. 48-42. -

I believe Swindon will win this one. No Schlein, and Thorsell in diabolical form. Masters hot and cold. Swindon by 6. -

Third. The Danes gave the Poles a bit of a scare though. -
Bloody hell what a bottleneck getting in and out of the carpark.
