Surely in the interests of fair play Swindon should demand that BWDs points in that heat be deducted from the scoreline. But all we have had is silence. In fact the "mistake" has been known for a while now but the silence has been deafening from the Swindon management. That alone can only be interpreted that along with many of their fans they are hoping to get away with it. A real shame.

The ref was not to blame. Swindon were to blame by not knowing the rules and failing to use Musialek for three rides. The ref missed it but Swindon made the mistake and are therefore at fault. Agree that if Poole had done this it would be 30 pages long at least. And Grachan, it was an error granted, but errors need to be corrected and not "got away with".

Looks like some Swindon fans don't like to read what many are thinking about the way their club are acting at the moment. The scoreline needs to be adjusted. What if Swindon go through on aggregate by a point? Hardly be fair, would it? Swindon should puf their hands up and come out with a statement that they made an error with the poles rides. Saying nothing looks like they are trying it on. Again.

Poole V Swindon Semi Final 1st Leg 11/9/17
Steve Shovlar replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
End of the day BWD turned up to ride. There might have been an issue with paperwork blocking Kyle Newman so BWD bought his bikes in the event Newman was blocked. So basically he was fit to ride but Swindon prefered to use a track specialist guest rather than one of their own. Case rests for the prosecution. Banged to rights. -
All this dodgy stuff coming out of Swindon. BWD turning up to ride at Poole but Swindon booked a guest who was better. BWD must be well peed off losing wages so Swindon could gain an advantage in the playoffs. Now not satisfied with that, they continue by only giving the out of form dodgy Pole two rides. Again benefitting as the ref missed it. You couldn't make it up. No wonder people are saying if Swindon win either the league or cup it will be a hollow success which will leave a bad taste in the mouths of every fair minded fan. Never seen so many on social media praying for a Poole victory in the second leg of the playoffs to bring respect and karma back to the sport.

Swindon - Belle Vue Koc 1st Leg 14.9.17
Steve Shovlar replied to A ORLOV's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Rob you should put a warning that its not for the squeemish. Poor lad. Looks bad and he could face some time off with that. No wonder he was taken by ambulance to hospital. A particular bugbear of mine. And Tatum, and many others. If there is a tape issue, or unsatisfactory start, the pits gate must not be opened and riders must go straight around to the tapes with no help from mechanics. No re-adjusting clutches or fiddling or tightening chains or pouring a few drips of methenol into the tank. If a mechanic comes onto the track, the rider is disqualified. Simple as that. -
Swindon - Belle Vue Koc 1st Leg 14.9.17
Steve Shovlar replied to A ORLOV's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Belle Vue got close to Swindon with a very patched up side there. With Cook and Bewley tonight might have been extremely close. Agree that the ref made a mistake with the poles third ride. Guess it will be amended to a 9 point Swindon win for the second leg. -
Poole V Swindon Semi Final 1st Leg 11/9/17

Seems an odd decision. Swindon fans will turn up regardless for this one. Won't entice those that have decided to watch on TV. If the average attendance is 2000 paying the normal amount of £17, means the gate would be 34,000. A extra 1400 fans need to turn up to break even. Doesn't seem great business sense to me. -

Well lets be honest here you could count the Swindon fans at Poole on your fingers and toes. Pitiful Swindon support and pretty disgraceful that hardly any made the effort to support their team. I am sure there will be a lot more Poole fans coming up for the second leg to support the Pirates even though the result is a forgone conclusion. As for the crowd at Poole, it was very decent. Not small at all as some on here are trying to say. And when you consider off race night, on tv and weather had been iffy earlier in the day, pretty good considering. -

Yes Phil the crowd was good on Monday. Full price, off race night, not the best weather and on tv as well. Shame Swindon didn't bring hardly any fans down to swell it further. -

So let me get this right. BWD is injured. Newman gets booked as cover. Fine. But BWD turns up to ride if the paperwork is not in order and Newman can't ride. Hang on a minute. BWD is injured. So why has he turned up to ride? Or was he not injured really and Rosco has been caught out? BWD if injured can't ride so why turn up? Surely if there was an issue Rosco would have been on the phone to Auty or Robson? Swindon banged to rights. -

Glad to see a neutral give a summary. The same as you I logged on to expect high praise for a brilliant meeting on a superb race track. But the anti Poole brigade were out in force and couldn't admit that Wimborne Road is one of the best race tracks in the country, as was shown last night. Absolutely. Best league meeting on Tv this season by the proverbial mile. There has been no blue groove at Wimborne Road for years. -

He didn't help his cause fist pumping the Swindon supporters on the third bend. Did the job Poole fans knew he would do though, scoring more the BWD would have picked up. -

If you didn't like that, you don't enjoy speedway racing. When was the last time Blunsdon produced a meeting of that racing calibre? The forecast was spot on. No rain mid afternoon onwards to a dry evening. Swindon fans didn't have to leave until 5pm. A check of the rainfall radar would show no threat. Extremely poor turnout by Swindon fans. Seen many more BV fans make the trip to Poole and its a 5/6 hour journey. -
Poole V Swindon Semi Final 1st Leg 11/9/17
Steve Shovlar replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yes it does. It rains on the track. The rain penetrates the top surface and breaks away the dirt. Often after heavy rains tons of dirt have to be removed. Well we had a late rally but not enough. Had a bit of bad luck in heat 2 and when Doyle fell on his ow (ref covering his arse with the Andersen roller rubbish) so Pirates might have had a 4point lead going into the second leg but that wouldn't have been enough. Cracking meeting on a brillian race track. Those Poole haters should really take the anti Pirates blinkers off and just admit to themselves that Poole have a racetrack worthy of the name. When its good its bloody fantastic, with passing off every bend, at full throttle. You just can't beat it and what makes the sport so exciting. Tonight was what the playoffs are all about. Couple of points. Swindon is 68 miles away. How come there were only 20 or so Swindon fans who made the trip? Lousy support for the team that topped the table. There will be far more Poole fans at Blunsdon in a fortnight, even though we have no chance. Not very good Robins fans. For Poole Holder was rubbish. In heat one when Doyle got around him he should have known to have moved out but stuck to the inside making it so easy for Ellis. Really not sure he will be considered in 2018 to be honest. Lahti was excrement. He was like this when he came to us but improved so much in recent weeks. Seemed he didn't want to know in the heavier than normal conditions. Its a playoff. He should be stuck in, not a lightweight. He certainly won't be back in 2018. As for the rest of the team, they all got stuck right in. Well done to them. As for Newman, he scored well as expected. Probably more than BWD who turned up at the stadium expecting to ride. He told the guy on the gate he was in the Swindon team and was riding tonight. Clearly someone forgot to tell him he was injured! Well done to Swindon. Strength in depth which we haven't had all year. Hope the second semi final lives up to this one but it will have big boots to fill. -

Few mins delay. Well done to the robins we were beaten fair and square. Difference between the teams clear to see. We had a number one who failed to live up to anything more than a reserve, and we could only replace him with a second string who battles and tries but is no number one. Swindon on the other hand have a number one and replaced a reserve with a top Pole. Pirates unable to live with that strength this time around. Easily the best league meeting BT would have shown. The other playoff has a lot to live up to. Hope it does. Congrats to Swindon. As they finished top they deserve the title. But those that deserve it don't always get it. Holder was rubbish in the playoffs last season as well. Notsure hehas a future at Wimborne Road. -

One of the best tracks in the country behind Belle Vue and Somerset. Proper full throttle mans racing. A bit deep tonight due to the rain making a lot of dirt but great racing regatdless. -

A brilliant nights racing and people on here think its crap? Theres no hope if speedways fans dont like this. Shows what a proper speedwaytrack can produce when 12 riders go for it. Lucky for me that this is my home track. -
