  1. Nah we made plenty of noise. Poole fans travelled in very good numbers for last night. More than the 20 Swindon fans who made the effort to come down to Poole for the first leg. Perhaps Swindon fans get nose bleed if they get too far away from the Rodbourne Arms. And what about the 50 or so on the second bend by the catering wagon? What about the many Poole fans scattered all around the first and second bends? Granted we were not that noisy as there really wasn't too much to cheer but we were all there supporting our team. Where were the Swindon fans at Poole hiding?
  2. 50 or so? At least 2-300 Poole fans there last night. Scattered all around the stadium. Was impressed at so many travelling considering we were never likely to progress.
  3. Fair enough, though one would have thought a deal would have been struck to move the greyhounds for one week. Alternatively, move the second leg to the Tuesday or Thursday!
  4. Just don't understand where the logic lies in having the first leg of the final when you have the pick. Surely the reason to have first pick is so you can win the title in front of your home crowd instead of a couple of handfulls who will make the long trip to Manchester on a Monday?
  5. Hopefully off to the French alps on Sunday followed by Italy later next month for two weeks of paragliding. Want to join us?
  6. But the facts speak for themselves. The track is seriously dangerous. Yes the Wimborne road track is safer so stop trying to deflect the subject. Last night clearly showed Monmore to be, as Flange puts it, a horror track. Carnage. Why so many fallers if it is safe?
  7. Watched this on the screen at blunsdon and by christ its a terribly dangerous track. Everyone can see this. How many crashes in this meeting? More than you would get in the best part of a season at any other track. And that's the truth. A trick track that only a few riders can really safely get around. The rest just hope for the best when they come here. Best wishes to Thorsell. A victim of the track. And a rider who has mastered it. But it still bit him as a rider that hadn't, clipped him and caused him to crash. Monmore claims another victim. Hope he is fit for the second leg. There were so many incidents during the meeting caused by this track. Wolves fans will go on defending it and saying it won track of the year etc etc but come on, we don't get riders wobbling around, over locking, losing control at any other track. End of the day only one rider injured. It could have been a lot worse. Wish Thorsell a speedy recovery.
  8. Congratulations to Swindon. Better team over the two legs. Good luck in the final. Well done Pirates good effort. Did us proud.
  9. Stop being a dick. I said all along bwd should ride so how is he making me look an arse? Perhaps your village has lost its idiot tonight.
  10. Not a great meeting. Difficult to pass but if Swindon gate we can't catch them. BWD 2 seconds slower but wins easily. Fair play to him.
  11. I have never an issue with him riding. He is part of your team and should be riding. Just shows what a cockup Rosco made by not using him at Belle Vue.
  12. Come and say hello. Half way under back straight shelter. Foreverblue, shaleshifter. And a few more posters here. We got the flag. Brock is here in his cowboy hat.
  13. Graham Flint. Starman seen walking around Blunsdon!! Pirates have a very large contingent of support. Suprising considering its on tv and the first leg.
  14. Why on earth would a Poole fan call themselves Brandon Bob? Like calling yourself pirates4eva and supporting Belle Vue.
  15. The meeting will not be called off. The track will be fine. Both teams will give it their best shot. If we are not good enough this time around then fair enough. Let's face it Pirates have done brilliantly to get where we are with this team and praise should go to Middlo for getting the best out of these riders to make the playoffs against the odds without a number one.
  16. Hoping the Pirates give a good account of ourselves. Given that we have had what is for us a torrid season, it would be quite remarkable to win tomorrow and actually make the final. Although unlikely, it is within the realms of being a reality. We are without a number one and that is our problem. No one to really challenge Swindons top two or three riders. However, if the whole team turnup ready to do battle, maybe there's just a chance. Whatever the result I will be there cheering the boys on. Give it your best shot lads. Let's cause an upset!
  17. He did big time. Perhaps he needs to return to British speedway next season to keep him sharp.
  18. Well that silenced the crowd! Thought Zengota might choke but he did the biz. Got that right Ghostwalker. Good call Screm. A second place for Leszno will be enough.
  19. Well you have proved you are the idiot on this thread moosh as everyone agrees with me.
