Thank you. There was nothing bitter in my post at all. Congratulated Swindon on their win, called them favourites for the title, picked out our weaknesses. Perhaps he didn't like the fact that I said the actual racing was dire, which it was. Does anybody who was there believe the racing was good last night?

Thought my post was absolutely spot on to be honest. You don't actually believe that was good racing last night, do you? It was dire stuff. Virtually no passing all meeting. Even when Swindon riders missed the start they couldn't pass unless a rider fell or nearly came off. It was a gating competition which the Swindon riders won hands down. Even Lahti, who was tailed off against the Swindon reserve, eventually gated and easily beat Doyle and Morris. Nothing bitter in my post we were beaten fair and square. But the over the top gloating from some Swindon fans on here is rather sad and pathetic to be honest. Embarrassing behaviour truth be told.

Banter? Pages of rubbish imo. Don't count your chickens too early SteveO, or you'll be having another meltdown like you did at Poole last season, giving us all a laugh storming off in a huff before the end of the meeting. Lol! As for having a meltdown, certainly not me. Can't win it all the time. Always next season.

Changes are pointless. We would have brought a top liner in, instead of Eddie. But there wasn't anyone so Eddie came in and we wasted the three extra available points. So we have a team without a big hitter and now can't fit one in even if one suddenly became available.

Well just got back and what a load of twaddle the last few pages have been. Can't anyone here string a constructive sentence together? Ye gods come on this is meant to be a forum not the ya hoo boo sucks crap posted on here. Some on here need to grow up. Now onto the meeting. Utter dire rubbish sorry to say. The Swindon fans will enjoy the win but as a spectacle it was truly awful. Doyle made a pass in heat one, then we had to wait until heat 9 before anything of note happened. It was all from the gate with the Swindon riders rolling and being pulled back or flying from the gate so the race was over first bend. No chance of passing so there was little in the way of actual racing. Just a gating competition which Swindon won hands down. Thought the crowd was reasonable. Not big but OK. I must admit I thought there would be more but it was a cold night up there. Swindon do look a good team. Whether they can get close enough to Wolves at Monmore is the challenge if they are going to win it. Clear favourites though. Can see those two in the final. As expected we didn't have the top end fire power to win heats. We pretty much kept it level after 7 heats but by then all the damage had been done. We are missing Brady and we are missing a number one. For the first time in many years we don't have a rider or two where we can expect a heat win. There's nobody in the team who can power through and score big. This is no doubt going to be sorted this winter but no good for this season. Score was roughly what I thought it would be. Should have been a little closer but Holder blew a 5-1 with a silly fall, and the ref made an error in allowing Morris off 15 metres when he had been disqualified. He was disqualified for delaying the start after a warning for rolling. There is no 15 metre handicap for this offence so it should have been a 5-0 Poole instead of the 4-2 due to Kennett messing up a bend. This needs to be corrected, not because Poole might have got something out of the meeting as it makes no difference, but if finishing top comes down to points difference and its very close, said points "could" become important. Well done Swindon on the win. Bringing in Museilak for Gappmier turned them into also rans to clear Championship favourites. For us Pirates its blatantly obvious where our problems lie. No top rider and Brady out. One can be sorted but not the other, making us also rans for this season.

Really gater1 you should stop trying to name just about every rider you can think of. It does the threads no good at all better take it to twitter. He shouldn't have needed to it should have been a cruise around 0-5. Doesnt affect the result but the ref should know the rules.

Surely if Morris is kicked out of aheat for two tape warnings means he is disqualified from the heat and cannot take a 15 metre ride?

Those who think Matt Fords anger is wrong can think again. Fully justified imo. Last night the team should never have lost. Considring its Matt that pays the bills he has every right to tell certain riders what he thinks. Definately the right call. No good pussy footing about massaging egos.

If were to have any aspirations of making the play-offs I cant see it happening with this team if Im honest. They are killing us at the moment. Its unacceptable. What its doing is its making me realise that many of this septet will not be representing the club next year. If theyre getting beaten by others, I clearly need to sign those guys, not the ones I have riding for me. Were not good enough at the top and those guys have to accept it. They have to look at whos beating them. If Im wrong, tell me just show me on the track and win the races. Thats the only job I ask of a rider is to win races and score points. I do my job theyre paid quicker than any other team in speedway. If it was earlier in the season, they would be riding for their team places. But the truth is were stuck with many of them and thats it. Well just have to see where we go from here.

Poole this season don't have the top end firepower to trouble your top end. Matt tried to get in a rider which would have smashed the club record but his polish club demanded compensation should he get injured. We don't have riders capable of winning enough heats to cause a shock here. The team is gating very poorly and I think quite a few heats will be settled by the second bend tonight. But I will be there cheering the boys on regardless.

Swindon fans and management all think tonight is a complete stroll in the park. Some think they will be disappointed if Swindon don't hit 60. Others are going to give it a miss because it will be so one sided. All Rosco has to do is open the gates and his team will score a sackload of 5-1s, romp the league, win both legs of the semi final and slaughter the other finalists. Thing is, it doesn't always go to plan. A lot of very cocksure Swindon fans on this thread. And sure your team should win tonight. But Kings Lynn and Wolves fans thought that two weeks ago. Nothing is certain.

First of all well done to Somerset. They took advantage at the right time and won it in the final lap, due to Andersens refusal to go out wide in the dirt. On arrival the gates stayed close and rumours swept the queues that the meeting might be off. Finally the gates opened at 6.45 and we were met by a messed up track with work going on to scrape the dirt off. Piles of the stuff on the inside of the track. I thought the track staff did a very good job and racing started on time. Race times were slower by a couple of seconds but racing was reasonable given the conditions. It was clear pretty quickly that some facied it more than others. For Poole. Andersen battled but would not go out wide and this cost us the win in heat 15. We gated on a 5-1 but Andersen hugged the curb and allowed Lawson around him. A lap later Josh G followed but instead of switching to the outside Andersen continued to try and work back through by the curb. Never going to happen and a very poor ride. Worrall was excellent. Man of the meeting. Holder was very poor. Unlucky to be excluded when Allen was all over the place. Made a pass but clipped Allens front wheel. Allen looked out of control at the time. But poor from Holder regardless. Kennett had a decent debut. Two wins and a battling third. Lahti was crap. Starke rode well. Unfortunately tried to charge through and caused a stoppage in the same heat Holder had been excluded, which in the end cost us at least the draw. Shanes did his job. For Somerset Lawson probably had his best meeting at Poole, Josh G was very good value. Hougaard was rubbish. If he had been on form Somerset would have picked up 4 points tonight. The rest did their job. A poor poor defeat for Poole. We are better than this but tonight was one of those nights. Next week Belle Vue are in town so god help us! Lol!

Well done Somerset. As I said they would nick it. Deserved.

Horror crash but riders walked away to gift Rebels the 5-0. They could nick this tonight.

Track staff have done a great job. Track riding very well considering what it looked like at 6.45. Perhaps Kings Lynn would like to borrow our guys. Fixed our track in a couple of hours where Buster couldn't fix theirs in the best part of a day.

Nice evening here. Overcast but dry. Track riding well considering the rain we had.

Hougaard utter rubbish not near a point in three rides. Doubt we will see himmagain tonight.
