  1. Well not much to say about that. Team looked beaten on the track walk and it was confirmed in heat one when Barker blitzed the field. It shows just how bad Poole were tonight when riders like Barker, Wells and Robson looked like top flight heat leaders. These riders who normally score 4-6 points at Poole, suddenly looked like GP stars. Gone out of the gate and then pulled away. For more or less the whole meeting the Rye riders blitzed Poole out of the gate. It wasn't just one Rye rider but both. In the first 7 heats Rye gated in 5-1s 6 times. All very strange. Track was in very good condition. Nice and smooth. No excuses. As for KK. He rode like a donkey all season but tonight was slapping his helmet, beating himself up for the points. Let Poole down very badly all season but then seems to think there is a point to prove because Matt sacked his sorry arse. If he had ridden this season like that he wouldn't have been sacked. One very weird rider. But well done to Rye. They could only beat what is put in front of them and it couldn't have been easier tonight. I guess the blessing is we won't be the whipping boys in the playoffs. No point doing a team review. Kennett unlucky shepherding Shanes home in heat 14 for his bike to blow up on the final bend, and Hans bike to blow up in heat 15 when leading. Made no difference to the end result. Wolves next week. Four more easy points heading to the midlands.
  2. Starke withdrawn injured. Could be a long delay fence posts badly damaged. Or put us out of our misery and call it off now.
  3. Nasty crash with Starke on third bend KK. Now up. Exc. now a delay due to knackered airfence. Big crowd quite hostile towards riders who failed to come to the stand for bin fund collection. Brady came over and went back after 30 seconds. Watt interviewed with shouting from crowd to sign him up. Dont think ave manipulation as doubt Matt will tolerate this and most or all will be booted this winter.
  4. The track is good. Smooth and Rye have no problems at all. Faster by a bike length over the first 20 metres. And then just ride away.
  5. They certain are vocal and Robs gone. He said they were taking the p so why watch it?
  6. Every single heat bar one Rye gone out of the start. Never seen anything like it to be honest. Rdit. Not quire correct. Holdr gated in one but Barker was by in a flash, then Kennet was second for KK to charge under him.
  7. Out of the 7 heats so far run, in six Rye have been on a 5/1 going into bend one. Absolutely abysmal non effort from Poole riders.
  8. Of course he will, and as a Pirate in 2018 hopefully.
  9. That's what Holder thought of the track. Anyway I hope Noddy is back home at Poole next season. Always gives his best for the Pirates and would come in as second heat leader.
  10. So Holder gets punished three times? Banned for 28 days, sacked, banned for 9 months. All because Chapman put riders lives at risk by producing a dangerous track. Today I went paragliding at Monks Down near Blandford. There were about 15 of us. The older more skillful pilots looked at conditions, 14-18mph, and decided to wait fir the wind to mellow. The younger pilots with less experience started to set up and fly. One got blown into a tree, another got dragged through cowpats as his wing kited him along. Two hours later the more experienced took off with some reaching 3500 feet. One landed at Portland bill. What has this got to do with Holder? As possibly the most experienced rider, his knowledge and experience should have been listened to. Whilst the younger less experienced guys will go for it, that doesn't make it any safer for them and both Lambert and Huckenbeck both refused to ride. Why no action taken against them? Looks like Holder is being used as a scapegoat for the appalling track Buster Chapman served up.
  11. I dont do the daily star or social media. So what's allegedly happened?
  12. Strange that he scored so well at Rye House but hasn't for Wolves. Suprised Wolves fans haven't yet jumped on some type of conspiracy theory, considering he is a Poole asset. Or perhaps he struggles, like many do, on the Monmore track and with Wolves fans slagging him off on here, perhaps it has hit his confidence.
  13. Looking forward to seeing a full Poole 1-7 tomorrow night. Might take Brady a week or two to get back his full fitness but much better than r/r. The return of KK makes this a spicy meeting and hard to predict. Weather set fair.
  14. Rode very well for Rye House. Perhaps he just hasn't been made to feel very welcome at Wolves.
  15. When is this on? Friday? Title needs to include date.
  16. Who did Chapman blame for the Belle Vue debacle last year? Certainly don't remember him going after the 16 riders present. Remember him critising thd Belle Vue promotion though. People in glass houses.........
  17. Clearly there is a divide in peoples opinion, with most KL fans backing their promoter with the neutrals more split down the middle. I spoke to Holder about the track and he said it was dangerous, with riders unable to turn properly and making it impossible to race. He said although the Poole track had been bumpy, it is always possible to turn and he had no issues with it when he rode here the previous night. I rarely agree with Steve0 and EIAddio but on this occassion we are all of the same opinion that the whole sorry affair falls at the door of Buster Chapman who caused the issue in the first place. Interestingly Tatum said on TV Monday that the track was 80% clay and very very grippy. But clearly less so than the Poole meeting.
  18. Going to be close with KK at reserve and more than likely taking 7 rides. Expecting 15 points from him. With Harris and Nicholls Rye should get close. But we welcome back Brady which is great news. Pirates finally back to full strength. An improved performance last night and hopefully we have turned the corner after a terrible run. Hoping for a win here but I am sure KK will be a major thorn.
  19. Just missed out on a point but would take a 7 point defeat in the playoffs. Both teams missing key riders in Masters and Worrall/Kurtz. A far far better performance tonight. The team looked determined. Can't fault the effort at all. Two massive rollers from Howarth, admitted by the rider himself, certainly killed our chances mid meeting but they battled on. Would definately have put Hans in heat 15 just to use his elbows. Thorsell. Such an enigma. Untouchable around Monmore bar the chain incident which was timed at 2.30 after the two minutes back to tapes. Poole fans we can be happier with that.
  20. Didn't expect anything than a defeat but Durno has just allowed Howarth to get away with two massive rollers. Its hard enough to get anything out of this place without giving the home side further assistance.
  21. M27,A34,m40,m42,m6,orm40,m5,m6depending on traffic.
  22. Latest is dry until around 9pm. Should be ok. I am coming up. Must be a masochist.
