  1. Size of the track lends itself to Lindgren. Be interesting to see how he does. What a race!
  2. Trick had a similar effect on Swedish speedway. The crowds in Sweden a decade ago were far bigger than today. Gollob in his prime had a whole nation behind him, not just die hard speedway fans.
  3. Give it a chance first week! It will catch on when people realise its easy to do and saves money.
  4. The sad thing is we should be all cheering him on tonight in the gp but for a large majority that is no longer the case. He has lost so much support in this country. Sure, as Stevebrum puts it, he will get the biggest cheer at Cardiff. There are a lot of people who attend this one meeting. At grass roots club fan level he has lost a ton of support for his snub of anything British. Refuses to ride for his country, the British championship or his own countries league. To be honest I couln't care less if he wins tonight or scores zero. And that is a shame. People on here saying it his his choice as the British league is rubbish. Well perhaps if he said I am riding in it, the league would be more enticing? I said it before and I say again. The most unpopular British world champion we have ever had. A real shame but the lislike for him is totally self inflicted.
  5. Your loss, as we get very good racing at Poole. Take a look at the heats on Youtube. I have said on several occassions this season the dust has been bad. Its not a case of not enough dirt, theres plenty down. Its the lack of watering that has been the issue. At least on Wednessday they got it much better with dust only noticeable in the final few heats. I still think they should get the bowser out during the meeting and not just accept what the riders are dictating. But then we risk losing our home advantage so its a balancing act.
  6. Gomolski has disappointed and Garrity is a far cheaper option. Sensible move.
  7. Like I said a nit picker. How come you haven't quoted Skidders post? Because he agreed with me? Oh dear doesn't fit your agenda? Lol! You are one very strange person. Clearly you haven't been to Wimborne Road before this week. Everyone, myself included, has been moaning about the dust in previous meetings. But this week the problem was virtually eradicated until the last few heats.
  8. I have watched thousands of heats of racing. And I know without ever ridden a single lap of speedway, that if your arms are locked out completely one way, they cannot go any further. If you are driving a car and your steering wheel is locked over to the right, you can't turn any further right, only left. This is the point I was making and its Noticeable with Shanes style. Not critisising just pointing out what I see. IMO he needs to change his arm positions to enable him to go inside or out. Needs advice from more experienced riders.
  9. Don't think Shanes should be dropped. Tries all the way to the finish line and is already popular with the Poole fans. I do believe his style is more suited to grass track than speedway though. His left arm position when entering the bends is extreme and doesn't seem to give him the flexibility to make the decision of whether to cut back or go wide. More the place he is on the track when entering the bend dictating his exit point.
  10. Lol! Where we sit in recent weeks the dust has been bad, even in the grandstand. Last night the dust was not noticeable until the final heats. Whilst no dust at all is preferable, if someone is foolish enough to stand on a bend where there is dust billowing towards them and stinging their eyes, they are either idiots or foolish. Or both.
  11. Milik is excellent. Would say there's not much to chose between the two, plus it gives us more points to play with lower down the order. In the last few seasons he has developed into a very good rider in Poland. His showing in the SEC shows how he has come on.
  12. Dear oh dear. I am now of the opinion that when you don't like someone you go searching for tiny bits of posts to disagree with to expand so you can slag someone off. "I don't like that person so lets forensically go through every word of his posts to see if I can find something to disagree with". All very very sad. The dust was far far less than recent weeks. Fact! It got worse in the last few heats. Fact! Morris did his job as a number one. Fact! Harris did well. Fact! Yes it was a longer than usual meeting. There was a bad smash in heat two which punctured the air fence and took over 20 minutes to repair. There were also several gate infringements which also added to the length of the meeting. There was no interval to make up for it. Stop trying to nit pick my posts you are coming across as a bit patheticlike that Gavan to be honest.
  13. You cannot have a guest only r/r. The loss of Perks made your situation untenable last night. Think everyone in the stadium was agog when your team manager failed to use the t/r in heat 7. Dreadful error and made no sense. Think he must have been oblivious to the score.
  14. Take back what I said about Morris he did well for a guest. Very entertaining meeting tonight on a much better track. Dust absent until the final few heats. Dear oh dear though. Absolute disasterous night for the Rye House team manager. If there was something to get wrong tonight he found it. The catastrophic decision not to use Harris as a t/r at the first opportunity has us all agog in the grandstand, and when Rye actually got a 5-1 it confirmed our opinion of the faux pas. Then he messed up Really when Branford should and should not have come out. Poole back to business tonight and solid throughout. Holder having a very good meeting backed up with Andersen and Kurtz. Morris did his job and with the other three all doing their job it was an easy three points, though the racing was good with loads of passing. Harris and Kennett both battling all night. For Poole. Morris did his job. Holder was excellent. Couldn't fend off Harris but looked better and a far improvement from a few weeks ago. Newman was very good and far better than his points haul. Always in the mix and would have scored more had he settled for his position but that's not Newman. Welcome back Kyle. Kurtz was fast and very good. Andersen ditto. Klindt was solid and did well. Shansey would have had another paid win in heat two but his bike seized on the line after he had been taken off in a high speed crash in heat two first running. Battled for every point and a great last bend pass of Branford. For Rye. Kennett battled for his points. Wells won a race but that was it. Harris did well and was fast all night. Nicholls looked like age was finally catching up with him. Normally better than this. Perks wad unlucky and got tangled with Shanes which really ended his night. Brandford battled but found it tough. This could have been a potential banana skin for Poole with rye having riders who in the past would have caused us issues. Other than Harris and to a lesser extent Kennett it was very easy for Poole. Now we get a month off before the next meeting at Poole.
  15. You shouldn't feed the troll. He has just come back from an enforced sabbatical straight back on the Poole thread saying Poole fans are fickle and "put up" with Ward. The guy is just baiting as per usual. If you don't respond he will talk to himself then go off on one to be banned again.
  16. Wants to ride in the world games on his own track but to pick his partner? Don't think so. Cook and Lambert should get the nod. Woffinden refuses to ride for TeamGB. So the bspa should not consider him at all.
  17. Morris bloody hell. Might be on decent form but number one he ain't. Banana skin written all over this. At least its been dry so we know the track will be more to our liking.
  18. Watching through sportsmania app. Crystal clear hd stream no buffering.
  19. Woffinden shouldn't be anywhere near a berth in this competition. Its for riders who want to represent their country. He is probably pussed as its his own track but that is just tough. Give it to riders like Cook and Lambert. At least they ride here and seem to want to ride for teamgb. More than can be said of Woffinden. He even has the cheek to say who the other rider should be. Woofy Woffy Woofy! Oik Oik Oik!
  20. Little track. Like Wolverhampton but a bit easier to ride. I got a mention though I don't know where that came from! Lol!
  21. Worral and Roynon? You having a laugh? We are Poole not a team to make up the numbers! Lol! Why on earth would anyone replace KK with Worrall? Or Shanes with Roynon who is a walking accident waiting to happen?
  22. The lack of form from Piotr Pawlicki is suprising. Gone the same way as Janowski last season. Perhaps the non stop pressure to remain at the top eventually gets to some riders and they sort of snap for a period. Janowski last season got dropped from the Polish team and only now does he srtart to look his old self again. Holder a similar problem, though issues outside the sport have dragged his form down. He can still do it like heat 13, then failed pretty miserably in heat 14. Good meeting could havevgone either way, not like the bit of a smash and grab like this afternoon.
  23. Not sure Zagar is the answer. Would rather Milik. No point talking about Vaculik, Zmarzlik, Dudek, Piotr Pawlicki etc. Never get them to come over now the season has started, or to be honest, at any time.
