Poole V Swindon Ela 1/5/17 6pm
Steve Shovlar replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The Poole track staff seem scared crapless of putting water on the track. A couple of men holding hosepipes and afraid to put more than a light sprinkle on the track every 4 or so heats. Billowing dust for everyone to suffer, fans shouting out from the grandstand about it as a bloke holding the hosepipe waters the centergreen! Wheres the water bowser? It never shows its face during a meeting. Ever. Two hosepipes is clearly nowhere near enough. The very next race after a "watering" the dust billows up after a couple of laps. Far worse this season and unacceptable. Really needs to be sorted out, quickly. -
So where is all the info on Woffinden working with youngsters? Link?

Zzzzzzzzzzzz! Dreadful place in the backside of nowhere with track to match. Like having the British GP in Buxton or Tidworth. Not exactly going to attract new fans who might be looking in for the first time. -

For those without bt, just use a vpn. Should work if you choose a non speedway country. -
Poole now the cheapest tickets in the top flight at just £14 plus £1.50 booking fee.

Poole stadium owned by Poole council, not these bunch of chancers.

Sad news and unexpected. RIP Alan. Sad loss to the forum. -
Time to start this one. Start time a bit strange. 6 pm start. Should be a good meeting. Hope the weather stays dry. I am expecting a Poole win but Doyle should put up a fight and Adam Ellis and Nick Morris are no sloutches. Thoughts?

Wolves V Rye House - 24th April 17
Steve Shovlar replied to Beowulf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Wolves much more balanced with the new lineup. Clegg again proving it was right to drop him. If there was the perfect opportunity to get instant revenge for getting the chop tonight was it, but it made no difference and his form remaind the same. Schlein for Skornicki was a no brainer. -

9.10 is about the time Poole meetings usually finish. Dads Army might be good around their own patch but they don't travel very well. Kennett absolutely shocking. Thing is Rye are relying on Nicholls and Harris to score well and both are a few years past their best. With Kennett having a mare this was always the likely outcome. Someone said on the Rye v Poole thread that there are no t/rs in the playoffs and Rye would fairly easily be able to defend an 8 point lead at Poole. No chance. What happened to them tonight will be repeated on more than one occasion in 2017. Rye the leagues new Lakeside. -
Tomasz Gollob Seriously Injured In Mx Accident
Steve Shovlar replied to Ghostwalker's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Clearly he is very seriously injured and its career ending. The most important thing right now is that he makes a good recovery to lead a normal life for what time he has left on earth. Hoping for no serious spinal damage and he will be able to walk again. Get well soon Tomasz -

Not going to happen. He has too many continental bookings at weekends. -

Kk was good tonight on his first or second ever visit. Did the business to earn Poole a point. Knocked off by Branford as well. -

We will see in a couple of weeks but I don't think Rye will run us close at Poole. Good fought battle tonight and considering Kk and Hans didn't know the track I thought we did well. Poor guest as I expected though. -

No way will Rye get within 8 of us at Poole. Good meeting tonight. KK showing much better. Brady next big Aussie star. Very fast and aggresive riding. -

Fantastic advert for the sport and British speedway tonight. First visit to Rye. Good crowd, friendly fans, good racing all night. Gate four massive advantage. Pleased with a point. Deserved. Will be back for the B fixture. -

Just because a rider has a decent meeting doesn't mean he will repeat it a couple of weeks later. Seen Hougaard score 16 in an a fixture and 4 in the b. Happens all the time. Would prefer Kerr who has been solid in the number 3 berth. But really need Kyle back as he is part of the team. Hopefully not too long. Stick with the 49-41ish prediction. And hope to be proved wrong.
