I disagree. Why did Denmark take their squad to Kings Lynn pre-season when the SWC was there? To get track time on the auctual track the even was taking place on! There should have been two full days of practice booked weeks ago for the TeamGB squad. Compulsory for all riders to attend if they wish to be part of the team. No going on holiday. No having a tattoo. Be there or you are out of the team. Not only does it give riders the opportunity to test setups but more importantly learn the shape of the track, find racing lines that would help give any advantage. Plus the riders can bond and be a team, not 4 individuals. I will be there cheering on TeamGB on Saturday but we will have done spectacularly to get close to third. Just feel we could have helped our chances no end and an opportunity missed.

Yep its so embarrassing. I told some mates who never go to speedway about the joker rule and what it does , double points and they all fell on the floor rolling about in hysterics shaking their head. They said they would never ever go to speedway because it had stupid rules and the joker was like its a knockout. Etc etc etc etc.........

Not much chance of that. They would need 6 new riders to join KK. You think Horton will fork out for that?

So we have Denmark, Australia, Russia and USA for the run off. Denmark v Aus in reality. Too close to call. -
The track shape doesn't change, does it? The Belle Vue riders have ridden in it and still lack home advantage. So spending a day practicing will certainly help learn some of the racing lines, where to use banking, where to cut back, how to enter a corner to gain the maximum drive leaving it, where to position hourself entering the corner to leave at maximum speed up the inside etc. Woffinden has placed a new a tattoo above practice and helping the lesser riders in the team. Couldn't this have been done on the 1st November? And Lambert frankly should be shown the door ala Nicki.

Good news on the extention and pleased my visit there a couple of weeks ago was not my last.

Could you imagine what the papers would say if Rooney said he was going to have a tattoo and not practice with the team just before an important WC match? Or Vardy saying he was going on holiday but hold his space in the team? Woffinden may be our best rider and current World Champion, but with his attitude it is very difficult to warm to him and support him. On another note tickets for any area are now available on the tickets site for the Friday. Maybe a lot of people had no choice but to purchase tickets for both days with no intention of attending the Friday night.

Would never happen due to cost. EL riders won't put their leg over a bike for £163 a day.

With the SWC following Cardiff by a short period of time, wouldn't it be great if the SWC final was held at Cardiff the day after the GP? What A Weekend! The track would be in place, the fans would already be in town and could be treated to two fantastic meetings in the space of 24 hours. BSI would save a fortune in stadium hire, and the attendance for the SWC would be three times the size of Belle Vue. Plus It has a roof so no rain off. The race off could take place a week earlier at another track, therefore not giving any advantage to the team making the final. With the SWC rotating between GB, Poland, Sweden and Denmark this could only happen every four years but surely it could work and be a massive success. Thoughts?

i don't think you are in the minority at all. Quite a few on here now agreeing it was the correct call. Think the ref was spot on. Not only did Zmarzlik elbow but he was turning right on Iversen at the same time. He was the primary cause of the stoppage. -
