  1. I see what Bjarne was doing then last home meeting and at Kings Lynn in heat 15. We wondered why he was slowing allowing his team mate through on the line. Good thinking again from the Poole management. And I have said on numerous occassions this season, Ellis is going to be a top rider if he continues to improve as he has this season. Done a great job at second string.
  2. Newman stays there. Bjarne moves up into the team with Kurtz replacing him next change.
  3. First I have heard of Poole turning down any dates to go to Belle Vue, unless of course it was a Friday before a GP and we would have been without Holder. Really looking forward to next Monday, weather permitting, though with a ridiculous start time for Poole fans and especially riders, who have to be up and away even earlier, it's going to be one hell of a long day. And hopefully 8 big fat juicy points.
  4. Starting to look a lot better for the British riders coming through. As long as we can keep them grounded we will see some very good talent coming through. We need training tracks where youngsters can blast around for as many hours as they like on any day they like. A track built in a large barn so no noise issues would help no end.
  5. Agree. If Teams can't run their home meetings against Poole we should get the 75-0. Our club had June off and have only three home meetings left to run, two after Wednesday against Leicester. In fact Matt Ford has resurrected the Blue Riband to fill empty dates. No excuse for these clubs who fail to fit in the Poole meetings.
  6. What sour grapes? We lost that happens. Harris didn't have any bike problems. Lindgren rode his nuts off to go around Harris and get Poole the points only to get a puncture on the last bend to allow Harris through. If Harris had bike problems he would have not been a bike length behind Lindgren. Nah. This time its a bike problem lol!
  7. I guess Leicester thought they could get a bigger crowd on Bank Holiday Monday, considering Leicester have just finished playing against Arsenal and fans who support both may be heading for the pubs.
  8. One of those defeats was unfortunate as guest Lindgren got a puncture on the last bend to allow Harris through to give Coventry a one point win.
  9. Just seen a preview of what is coming up in September on BT Sports and they advertised Germany V Sweden speedway meetings. Edit. Ok seen it again and its the GP's but they have designed the background with a v in the middle. Just bad designing from BT.
  10. Pedersens 'bird' looks like she is ready to party, not hang around in the pits.
  11. Last time the sec was here racing was very poor with hardly any passing. Almost the same this time. Why do they start so early? Only 5 pm there first heat. Could have started at 7 pm and been fine for european countries. Saifutdinov should be out. Pedersen did nothing wrong there.
  12. Referree wanted his moment of fame. What a pathetic exclusion.
  13. Some fail to take into account Swindon's home track advantage. Where Morris would probably be tailed off around Poole, he can beat anyone at Blunsdon on his day. Same goes for Tungate.
  14. If we ride a well as we have as a team for the last few meetings we can win this. Andersen really got his act together in the last few meetings after his diabolical effort at Coventry. Bjarne is gating well at reserve. Ellis has found the move up into the team to his liking and taken some big scalps. The others have all done their jobs. Holder is quite vunerable at Blunsdon and struggles to pass around here. Needs to get out of the traps. Both teams at full strength. SWINDON M&S Van Rental Robins 1 Jason Doyle 9.68 2 Justin Sedgmen 5.79 3 Nick Morris 6.34 4 Rohan Tungate 5.71 5 Josh Grajczonek 6.25 6 Charles Wright 5.71 7 Stefan Nielsen 5.20 Team manager: Alun Rossiter POOLE Readypower Pirates 1 Chris Holder 7.87 2 Adam Ellis 6.69 3 Krzysztof Buczkowski 7.05 4 Brady Kurtz 6.16 5 Hans Andersen 7.71 6 Bjarne Pedersen 6.06 7 Kyle Newman 6.22 Team manager: Neil Middleditch Referee: Willie Dishington
  15. I can never understand why an instant refund cannot be given. If I paid by card online I would just chargeback, but if I habded over £20 an hour earlier I would expect the money to be returned without the hassle of posting it in. When John Hectir made a complete pigs ear of the Poole track a few years ago Matt Ford organised an instant refund for those that wanted it. Alternatively the ticket was valid for the rest of the season. With seats purchased online is the ticket purchased at Belle Vue not valid for future meetings?
  16. After Swindon's thumping of Kings Lynn on Thursday all roads lead to Blunsdon for the ELB fixture on Monday night, live on Sky. Forecast seems ok with an overcast day. It's a must win meeting for both sides. Swindon, to keep up their hopes of beating Lakeside to the final playoff berth, and Poole, to keep up some pressure on league table toppers Belle Vue. Poole should be full strength. I am unsure if Swindon are using a guest for Charles Wright. Poole. Holder Ellis Buckowski Kurtz Andersen Pedersen Newman Should be a thriller with the Robins possibly just edging it with the impressive form of Doyle, Morris, Tungate and Josh G. But no more than 4 in it and at least a point to Poole.
  17. No but you have rain and to tonight could have been saved easily. In fact today would have been perfect for covers.
  18. Pairman? Don't bring Poole into this mess. Feel desperately sorry for the travelling fans. A hell of a way to go. To answer another current thread, yes Belle Vue DO NEED TRACK COVERS. It would have saved this meeting.
  19. Clearly the Belle Vue promotion. They had three choices. Two were correct, one was wrong. Call off early? Correct call. Keep it on but start work on the track at 4.30? Correct call. Start blading the track at 8 pm? Bad bad call and desperation. Meeting postponed.
  20. How desperate are BV to get this meeting on? Are they running out of dates?
  21. Is it off? Edit. Just seen the photo on updates. What a mess they have made. Why didn't they start this at 4.30 when it stopped raining? Seen this exact scenario a few years ago at Lynn. After watching the blade go round for 90 minutes it was announced that the meeting was off. Are the track staff at Belle Vue capable of turning this around?
