  1. Get in there boys!!!!! Bigger shock than Wales beating Belgium!!
  2. Dont worry it wont last. Newman rides Lakeside very well.
  3. Uugot a good picture but no sound on either of my devices through aliez.
  4. Not enough showers to call it off. Normally I would getting ready to leave but have no incentive whatsoever to waste time and money on a meeting thats going to be a one sided thrashing. Lakeside fans won't even get proper bragging rights in this shambles of a meeting. 57-33ish
  5. Sounds like there was a very loud bang over Saddlebow Road this evening as the Belle Vue bubble burst. They should have won this but only a couple if their riders turned up. At leadt someone gave Batch a nudge or read him the riot act and he pulled his finger out his jacksie. Very easy for Lynn by the look of it.
  6. If promoters think that they should quit. Why not run any meetings at all and have no losses?
  7. Young Bewley. Heard reports he was fantastic at BV and was interested to see him ride. On his first ride I thought, what is all the fuss about? Then on his second he was much better and beat a rider who has done many laps around that track. He is a bit puney and very lightweight. However, he certainly has something about him on a bike. He needs to get down the gym, build himself up and keep improving. He was certainly out muscled by most of the other riders but there could well be a future in the sport for the lad.
  8. Agree about the first part with the Glasgow promotion doing a fantastic job. The promotion have their eye on joining the big boys in the EL and for a club struggling a few seasons ago they have certainly turned the corner. As for the racing, it was utter guff. Mostly follow the leader. Loads of holes to dive through but riders not capable of capitalising.
  9. I thought both PL meetings shown by Sky this week were absolute guff. Worse possible meeting on Monday, followed by similar, though fractionally better last night. The only saving grace was the work from the Glasgow promotion in doing their job in promoting the sport to bring in a good crowd sothere was an atmosphere. I much prefer EL racing. The better riders know how to pass and will commit, where last night it was just follow the leader. Holes to drive a bus through but the riders behind did nothing to go for these gaping gaps. Of course there are good and bad meetings in any league or any sport. The quality of EL riders means that the racing is that much better the majority of the time, as has been borne out this year with not a bad meeting on Sky until they went to a PL track. Just my opinion and some may disagree.
  10. Why on earth would any Lakeside fan want to turn up to watch their team pulverise that excuse for a team? I know they want the three points but they would more than likely get them anyway even if Poole turned up full strength. Got to hit the attendance on Friday.
  11. It was better tonight than Monday, but only because the promotion did a fine job of promoting the meeting. Shame about the racing though. Non existent. Track looks hard to pass on. Too narrow. Early wet conditions didnt help but even later there wasnt much racing, just follow the leader. Fans seemed to enjoy it and really if they are happy the promotion did its job. Shame about us neutrals on Sky who wanted some racing though.
  12. Has the Poole lineup been announced yet? I am excited to know.......... ... ....perhaps not....
  13. My post was meant light heartedly. I don't really care who thinks who is better. I would rather have Newman in my team than Garrity. Personal choice. Kyle has never let us down and always give 100%. Even if he is at the back(rarely) he is doing whatever he can to get a point. Can't ask any more than that and the reason he is so popular at Poole. Edit. As I asked I went and had a look. They have met 6 times this season in the EL and the score is Newman 4 Garrity 2.
  14. Heres oe for you. Head to head this year whats the score?
  15. It was utter crap. The away team were standing around laughing and looked like a bunch of idiots dragged off the street. It was shocking rubbish. But as long as you enjoyed it then fine. Worst meeting on tv this year by a country mile.
  16. Absolutely diabolical forecast for Wednesday with heavy rain coming in around lunchtime for the day. Could be 6 weeks no speedway at Poole with no fixture next Wednesday.
  17. Please, please please Sky, stay away from the PL. Absolute garbage on a track with follow the leader races. riders not capable of looking after their equipment and so many tapes infringments it was the ultimate borefest. Some people prefer pl to el but for the life of me I would want paying to turn up to watch this guff. ZzzzZZZZZZzzzzzZZZZzzzzzz
  18. Hardly his fault he is currently out. And his illness this year was just plain unfortunate.
  19. Hope he is OK. But there you go it proves my case. Fast bikes with not enough talent to ride them properly. Always will be an accident waiting to happen.
  20. Garrity is an accident waiting on a bike over riding. One ride away from a big smash. It will happen soon enough sorry to say. Has guts but looks awful on the bike and isnt smooth at all. Mark my words a prang will happen soon enough.
  21. Just waiting for Gavan to come on here now and say Poole are not weaked by Bjarne being replaced by Wilson-Dean, as Bjarne is now rubbish and Wilson Dean improving all the time. Lol.
  22. Rain certainly helped improve the racing and it was probably the best go frim Prague in memory. Crowd also looked bigger than recent years. Holder was dreadful, Woffinden struggled badly and Hancock took full advantage. Well done to Doyle and Harris, who had his best GP in ages. Now on to Cardiff and the best atmosphere of all the GPs
  23. Why is this meeting going ahead if not on sky? Dont they own the stadium so can race on another night? Be lucky to get 250 through the gate.
