  1. Both last night and at Swindon the whole Coventry management and team came over as a complete joke. Let hurry up and finsh so we can go down the chippy, to riders pulling faves on Sky at Swindon behind the interview. They need their heads smacking together by the bspa and told to act professionally.
  2. Will be a much closer meeting all the way through on Friday than tonight. Poole never go big away from home. But, we are stronger all round than Lynn. Should be a cracker. Just hope there's a crowd there to watch it.
  3. Sure did. Didn't think he stood a chance to be honest. That was farcical. Nah happy to be wrong.
  4. Thoroughly enjoyed that meeting. Loads of drama. A shame they forgot to open the gates for fans to come in.
  5. Nasty. Kings lynn chance now gone. Both up. No way Batchelor will keep these two out. Not riding anywhere near well enough. Dramatic meeting.
  6. Hilarious collapse by Kings Lynn. Batch and Schlien so weak. Think this could be the biggest comeback since Lazurus.
  7. Louis, "Havvy what are you gonna say to the guys after this start?" Havvy. "Er......."
  8. No you cant stand all the way around. Just behind the glass on the back straight not in front of it. There are no terraces in front if the back straight stand.
  9. Theres no standing outsidebon the back straight as you have to be behind the glass. If you stood there you would be blocking the view of people on thenither side of the glass, and the walkway is only about one metre wide.
  10. Everyone heard it in the stadium. It boomed out of the speakers! A girl next to me burst into tears and a couple who had brought a friend just laughed, and said they would neber come again. They were trying to explain the rules but the man just laughed when told them etc etc etc....... Truth is there was no need for him to do it, and those who defend it are no better themselves. Even ardent Tai fans should just admit he was wrong and then move along. His language really was indefensible for a national tv audience. No need for it.
  11. Looking forward to coming up for this one on Friday. Poole need to win this one if we have our eyes on finishing in top spot to choose our playoff opponents. No Kyle who rides Brandon very well. Pretty sure Matt will have a good guest lined up for his spot. Hopefully other than that we will be full strength with Bjarne at reserve. Hopefully not another one point defeat. Weather is improving towards the end of the week so hopefully a nice big crowd. Thoughts on this crucial fixture?
  12. Spoke briefly to Kyle in Cardiff. On the mend and really annoyed to be missing. Said he just got ploughed into. Said if it happened two weeks earlier he wouldn't have missed much. At least two maybe three weeks away from a return.
  13. Lambert and Woffinden, then god help us. Cook has reached his level as a decent EL second string and not very good around Belle Vue. Harris, well sorry after yesterdays completely embassessing an inept display no than you. Nicholls is also past his best so again no. King is riding well and after his efforts in the British Final and GP deserves the nod. So it looks like lambert, Woffinden, Cook and King. I think the reserve argument has now been completely put to bed with Ellis getting the reserve berth. Beating riders like Andreas around Lakeside proves he has got what it takes if called upon.
  14. Sections of Poole are not closed off, its open all the way around.
  15. Woffinden was always going to get the biggest cheer, never a doubt about that. However it was quiet compared to the reception Mark Loram received. Back then I used to be deaf for days after with ringing ears. Although Tai had the majority of support, it was the British GP, the talk in the pubs was of general discontent about his disrespect to British Speedway. I have critisized him about his failure to support British racing but of course cheered him last night.
  16. Its reported as 45,000 which would be the biggest so far. Guess we will never know the real figure.
  17. Twas a Welsh rugby player who plays for an Aussie club. I asked him. Also next to me was Scott Mitchell the darts player who wad enjoying the meeting even though his mate Noddy had a bad meeting on slow bikes. He hasn't been charged with anything. About 5 minutes before tapes up I thought it looked a smaller crowd than recent years, but we moved to the starting gate after 4 heats and the back straight and bends looked much busier than I have seen before. Migh have been the biggest crowd ever for the event. A great nights racing. Some very tough battles and riders knocking into each other. Really enjoyed the whole day. Chatted to Monster Joe who confirmed Dary ended up with a pathetic £4000 from his Polish meeting. The fan zone had more room, but was desperately lacking anything worth while. Some trich skateboarders was fun for five minutes. The vintage bikes for about two mins. Some bloke of Radio One grave yard shift three nights a week spun some old record, The Jam etc. How we thrilled to it as he raised his arms in the air, to three old ladies noshing on an ice cream. That bloke from Sheffield spouted his usual stuff, but the Magoos were not there...thank god. Nowhere near enough going on. Very very poor. Nice to chat to the usual motley crew around the streets and pubs of Cardiff. Saw some tart who looked like Lilly Savage, peroxide blonde with roots showing through, smudged makeup, fart stains showing through on back of short white skirt. Shouted out "Gavan" but she didn't look around. Racing was excellent, presentation top notch, meeting ran at a great pace. Worthy winner in Antonio. Woffinden stated poorly but improved. Happy with result. But for Woffinden to shout out, 'Make some effing noise" was both crass and unprofessional. He could just as easily have said, "Come on Cardiff, make some noise". Let himself down. Then he jumped in a car and tried to broadside it around the track which was amusing but put the fear of god into the organisers. It seemed he was trying to grab the limelight away from the winner. The post meeting interviews were shown on the big screens. The rides need to be more professional. Fireworks to end and easy to get out of Cardiff. Listened to bbc Five Live coming back but the sports bullitins never gave it a mention. The sports were Serena Williams, wheelchair tennis, Lewis Hamilton getting pole tomorrow, Andy Murray playing tomorrow, womens super league football, the Scottish Open golf leaders, Frome in the Tour De France, and two women doing ok in an athletics meeting. Not a mention which is pretty poor, both of the bbc and bsi for not pushing it out there. It really is a big enough event to be worthy of mention and was probably the biggest sporting event attended in the UK today.
  18. Who is this? https://www.periscope.tv/w/ak_ilDFtTUVQZVdxTm1RR2J8MU95S0FsV3Z6Wk14Yn3aQXcPCn2RYe0XW36CmjffI3rfZ1wJBquoVIvK1zTu
